Speaking of Bara friendly guilds, we’d like to highlight one from Champions Online. The Brute Squad is one such guild comprised of hunky men who chat and role-play on two separate channels.

Open T’zharr Mordarius M’ok Profile

Once a cold and uncaring demon, T’zharr was amongst one of the many highly-ranked platoons of demons in the Netherworld, revered greatly for his immense strength and fighting capabilities. He had marshaled and devastated quite a few human settlements in the olden days during his immortal lifetime. However, one day, he had suddenly come to an epiphany that being feared by mortals and crushing them and their loved ones were not to his liking anymore. The Netherworld that he had
resided in and his eternal occupation of slaying the weak had become tedious.

He had a growing curiosity about how humans had lived their lives, tending and nurturing to their own, completely the opposite lifestyle of how T’zharr had experienced in the Netherworld. He wished to observe how mortals had lived their own lives and their vast cultures. When his desire to study the humans peaked, he resolved himsef to depart from the Netherworld and ascend to the plane above. However, this act exacted a steep price.

During his ascension, he had lost almost the entirety of his powers as punishment of abandoning his kin to pursue a foolish desire of his own, thus he could not return. All he had left was his own raw strength and what little knowledge he had to survive in the society of today. T’zharr had then noticed that strife and suffering existed amongst the mortals fighting among themselves and then thought of a way for him to gain favour with the humans by vanquishing the ones who tormented the weak while simutaneously immersing himself in the cultures and recreations around him. His experiences in meeting other heroes and committing favourable deeds had slowly turned this frigid, black-hearted demon into a jolly and protective giant of an individual.

A few weeks after FFXIV came out, I unearthed a thread aptly titled “Show You Roe.” It was pretty straight forward, just upload a picture of your Roegadyn and be on your merry way. Until you dig deeper and realize certain people with certain preferences posted their characters in more.. provocative poses.

So I tried to do something in a similar vein to Orctober; create a month long event called Roevember to celebrate the most underappreciated race in the game. Just look at the statistics, 7% of all players play as a Roegadyn. Unfortunately Roevember fell apart as everyone is spread out on different servers. Trying to get a group together was quite challenging. But I’ll try again next year, firstly by promoting several groups.

Just keep in mind that it’s not a requirement to play as a Roe in any of these groups.  Since my characters exist across several servers, it would be super swell to assemble a group of people for a photoshoot in the summer. With that squared away, on to the pictures!

The two characters are loosely based on the Dom/Sub dynamic. They’re not at a high enough level to wear appropriate gear to match their personalities. Eventually when vanity slots roll in, I can find them a permanent outfit.

Green Roe
 

During the Summer Event, they released these snazzy bikini armor. Unfortunately, they’re untradeable and you can’t buy them in Auction Houses. Dammit Square!  Aside from that, their silvery design makes it an accessible outfit that goes with everything. Yet they have level 1 stats, making them impractical for actual gameplay.

Around level 23 you can acquire Iron Scale Armor, which when dyed grey, matches the bikini pretty well.

Red Roe

On the flip side, is my Hellsguard Roe, who’s playing on the supposed Gay server of FFXIV. He’s supposed to be the more serious of the two and has this intense look on his face most of the time.

And thanks to his name, I get to meet other bara lovers as well!

During the Christmas Event, three of us got together and started posing around the Christmas Tree. All that noise drew in some cheering fangirls as well.

FFXIV recently added housing, which caused all sorts of drama with its ridiculously high prices. The guild I’m in amazingly had enough to afford one and filled every corner of the basement with hot tubs.

In that same patch they upgraded the /doze emote to perform a new sleeping animation on beds. Obviously, nobody is going to abuse said animation for their own amusement.

Prior to Tomb Raider’s release we couldn’t help but notice this stocky supporting character who seemingly came from nowhere. His design is just—I don’t know but it just hits all the right buttons. It makes us wonder if someone from Crystal Dynamics is playing for our team.

With the lack of Jonah fan art out there, Kibura stepped up to the plate to add to the rule 34 pile. You can see it after the jump.

This week we take a brief look at a year since PSO2’s release to see how things are shaping up for male outfits. To give some perspective, initially during PSO2’s summer release, females were given a titillating sexy bikini while males were confined to these bulky summer shorts. It was very perplexing — how could they squander on such an obvious opportunity?

A few weeks later Sega released a player survey allowing one to request their desires for the game. Me and a few others took advantage of this, leapt forth to our keyboards and in a huff wrote an angry— er.. calm rational request demanding bikinis for all. Several months later our prayers were answered…

Well not exactly, but it was a step in the right direction.

The bath towels were… interesting to say the least, they came in two sets, in regular and one drenched in water. Naturally the wet version was the first to give you a glimpse of the derriere. Yet it was hampered by this strange design choice from the development team. On the underside of the towel, the modelers decided to obscure the view of the underwear by filling it with elastic foam. No up towel shots for you!

The team decided to release another survey—with summer approaching fast, we had to to convince them somehow.

Then sure enough they came, and how glorious it was! I’ll admit, these bikinis were a bit of a shock to me. Back in Phantasy Star Universe (the previous flagship title), the bikinis were modest—for my tastes—and covered up enough to fall out of the skimpy category. Yet in PSO2, they took it one step further, slimming it around the sides, drawing your eyes towards the character’s package.

Mmm 上首尾だな!

The beach certainly creates the most natural backdrop for speedos, that and the added benefit of having one of the best areas for lighting in the game. However, the day/night transition is extremely fast, and our group wasted a lot of time waiting for the sun to rise.

One of the hidden benefits of having a speedo seems to be that it draws a crowd. As long as there’s two or more of us together, we seem to either receive the disdain of passers-by or attract a crowd of onlookers who like to take part in the experience. When you have Japanese players shouting “nice ass” in hiragana, you know you’ve gotten somewhere.

The game comes with several dancing animations, with new ones released every few weeks. They end up being quite expensive but worthwhile as evidenced in the YouTube video. The game has a neat little feature that lets you sync up your dance moves with other players. If you played Phantasy Star Universe, you’d know that it was such a pain to get everyone dancing at the same time. In this game, you can just click on someone and select to copy their dance moves.

Sometimes when we get left out of the sexy costumes we try to come up with our own variations—resulting in our playboy bunny outfit in response to this outfit. The game lets you customize your character with an assortment of accessories. There’s so many, that you could really come up with some interesting concepts. Like dance moves, accessories can sometimes be expensive and reach into the millions. Even though this is a free to play game, you can still make enough money to afford them without shelling out real cash.

While Saints Row 4 has massive amounts of character customization, it’s somewhat strange to see an aspect like body hair missing from male characters. This small mod intends to fix this problem by giving the male boss thick and rich body hair to proudly show off.

This is the Saints Row 4 version of the Public Nudity and Nude Mod. It removes the mosaic blur from the player character and several slime covered NPCs, including Shaundi, Matt Miller, and Gat.

Providing equal fanservice to the Saints Row community comes a new mod that places men in the strip club. Now when you head downtown, or enter a strip club and hangout, the game will generate a select pool of male NPCs who will dance provocatively for your viewing pleasure. This mod is slightly more explicit than the video suggests and it is recommended that you download the nude mod before installing.

• Generates a select pool of male NPCs to dance in the strip club.
• Makes certain male NPCs perform and receive a lap dance at stronghold cribs.
• Makes certain male NPCs perform inside cages at each red light district.

F.A.Q

I don’t see any performers at the strip club.

• Initially when you enter a strip club, the game may not generate any NPCs. You may have to leave and reenter a strip club to spawn them.
• Some NPCs are generated when the camera is facing away from their direction.

I see female strippers in coop.

• Players without the mod will be able to spawn female strippers if they arrive at the strip club first. Unmodded players will be able to see “most” of the male strippers except for a select few created exclusively for this mod.

I only see X why does X not appear?

• The game pseudorandomly generates a select group of NPCs as you reach the strip club. Because of this, you may see the same NPCs spawn in several areas. In addition, some NPCs are more likely to spawn in strongholds. Reloading a save file or reentering the strip club may help to generate another set of NPCs.

See No Evil

Bara Game: See No Evil

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve played an adventure game. The last one I recall was Escape from Monkey Island which released what… 13 years ago? See No Evil strives to revive that genre with a pixelated art style reminiscent of games from the DOS generation.

You play as Orsino who wakes up after a night of drinking and finds himself trapped in limbo. With his house in ruins, engulfed in ominous black flames, he decides to investigate by entering a strange palace off in the distance. Inside he meets Lord Barrod, a demon who taunts Orsino into a life of servitude by suggesting our poor hero submits to him. Orsino can freely submit to Lord Barrod at any time he pleases, but once this happens, it’s game over from here!

As with most adventure games, you’ll have to type in some commands to advance the story. Most of the interactions are done through the up or down arrow key, and if you leave Orsino idle, you’ll see some extra dialogue that can help you get passed some of the more challenging “puzzles,” so to speak.

Tip: Take note of any word that shows up in capital letters.

The general flow of the game requires you to form a pact with the demons around the palace. In addition, there are several rooms you need to activate by performing a specific ritual. For example, one room might ask for a demon to make Orsino scream, and what better way to scream than through some nice butt pounding action.

Once the deed is done, Orsino has to seal the room by chanting out the correct incantation. For this to happen, Orsino has to first learn of the correct phrase by investigating a poster in the room. Afterwards, he must head to the library,  memorize the entire spell, and return back to the room to complete the ritual.

Tip:  There’s one incantation that can’t be found on a poster.

Once you activate all the rooms and complete the final incantation you beat the game! Well… not really. Maybe you should listen to those Thralls again. Something about those phrases seems a bit off.

Though See No Evil might be a porn adventure game, it puts itself on a higher level, it’s well written and reads like a novel. As evil as Lord Barrod can be, his dialogue makes it seem like spending an eternity under him might not be such a bad thing… Well maybe it is, but it doesn’t have to end that way!

Continuing on from where we left off, we had the pleasure of meeting this interesting fellow who liked to “hump” guys in their underwear.  He sat down on one of the railings and everyone joined in for a cuddle party.

Even “Justin Beiber” tried to get in on the action..

Yes, “Justin Bieber,” “Oprah Winfrey,” and other stars in the Final Fantasy series (coughcloudcough) found their way into Eorzea.

An Unexpected Guest

So Kenneth and I decided to do a little photoshoot in a small cottage nestled by the sea. Completely forgetting this was a public space, a girl walked in on us and started cheering. Whoops!

Roegadyn Selfies

One glaring problem with the character models is the lack of skin textures. This becomes extremely apparent on a cloudy day. As I tried to make the most of it, I found taking pictures in a subligar with sandals showed just the right amount of skin without sacrificing a lot of defensive stats.

Rings, bandanas, and eye patches helped a bit too, and while they were adequate for trash mobs, the story quests became much more of a challenge. I’d love if more games did away with stats on clothing but that concept doesn’t seem to be in high demand for now.

BaraGamer and Friends

We went around taking as many silly pictures as we could using the emote function. Emotes will show up in chat so you can “wave” or “fall asleep” next to someone. We’ve also seen it used for sex role play which passersby may not pick up on instantly. The trick would be to perform the action while sitting down since there’s hardly any animations associated with it.

So I had the pleasure of playing Final Fantasy XIV Phase 3 beta these past two weekends. Though it may have gorgeous graphics and dialogue rich in style and eloquence, there were still parts of it that felt… dated.

Character Creation Process

We’re mainly going to focus on two races, the Hyur (the run of the mill humans in the world of Eorzea) and the Roegadyn (a hulking beast; the Galka’s spiritual successor.)

After choosing a race and gender you must decide between two clans, each with distinct features. For Roegadyns, the Sea Wolves clan have green/blue tinged bodies, while the Hellguards have shades of brown and red.

Hyurs on the other hand have dramatic differences in face and body structure. Midlanders are thinner, with boyish features; Highlanders are older, with bushy mustaches and beards.

Highlander Hairstyle Options

Each race has a wide assortment of hairstyles to choose from; some modern, some unique, with the usual over emphasized anime hair.

Facial customization options includes scars, beards, mustaches, bandages, and beauty marks. Unfortunately, some features are only available to a specific face type.

Once your character is finalized, you have to choose a class which also determines the starting city. This means you’ll have to coordinate both the server and class to join up with your friends. That’s not to say you can’t visit them in other cities, just that you’ll have to be strong enough to survive the perilous trek of high level areas.

Quests and Battle System

There’s no doubt about it, Square-Enix once again hits the nail in the graphics department! Each area feels unique, bursting with high amounts of detail. However, the lack of skin texture is unsettling, especially at night.

But alas the combat system, the weakest area of the game. You are basically locked onto one enemy who can still hit you even outside of its attack range. This combat style—which was all the rage in the last two decades—seems a bit dated now.  Most of the action is performed through “weaponskills” you can chain to unleash devastating combos.  For instance, certain weaponskills in the Puglist class are only available during a specific stance,  (the game refers to stances as “forms.”) Transitioning through each form allows the player the option to activate the next skill in the chain. Most of the time you’ll be performing the same three chain combos over and over until you level high enough to unlock a new skill.

There’s hardly a reason to move during combat, you can essential stay in position and mash the same skillset combos all day. Thankfully, at higher levels, enemies will perform AOE skills, making the battle system more challenging.

AOE enemy skills are a nice change of pace!

You only have a few seconds to move outside of the ring before all hell breaks loose and a status effect added for good measure. Unfortunately my time in the beta was short and I was unable to experience other unique forms of enemy skills.

Fetch quests, fetch quests everywhere!  Your life in Eorzea is that of a servant who must gather and deliver items to NPCs in the most obscure locations. Even then, once you’re out on the field, you still must travel for miles and miles to a new NPC who’ll happily point you in another direction.

FATES are another type of quest that players can join instantly by traveling to certain locations on the map. A FATE, or Full Active Time Event, lets players collectively fight against a common enemy but only for a limited time. While these may be the most entertaining, their random appearances across the map makes it sometimes difficult to join.

Instanced quests are the most rewarding among all. The Duty Finder sets you up with three other randomly selected players to battle monsters in an enclosed field. Though most of the quests are straightforward, there was one particular case where you had to lure a giant turtle to sleep by burning some herbs. This is probably the best way to gain exorbitant amounts of money and EXP in a short amount of time.

Crafting and Clothing

I dabbled a bit in the crafting system to see what all the fuss was about. My party took a detour to Gildania to join the Leatherworker’s Guild. Leatherworkers, like other crafting specialties, are a class in of themselves. When joining the guild, you’ll receive an item that when equipped will reset your character back to level 1. Don’t worry, since weapons are tied to the class level, you can switch back to where you left off.

In the leatherworker class, you can tailor an article of clothing using store bought materials. Unfortunately, the monotonous crafting system makes it more of a chore more than anything. At higher levels, you get additional skills that can improve the quality and durability of said item. But then it will still take quite a bit of time before you reach a level high enough to craft products suitable for the main class.

As for the outfits themselves, there’s a few clothing options I recommend for the more fanservicey characters. I highly suggest getting the Hard Leather Subligar, which is equippable at level 12. You can find them in the shops or as a quest reward.

During my party’s travels, we met a peculiar fellow who you’ll meet a bit in the next post. He showed us that by dyeing the Hempen Undershirt and Hempen Underpants, we could unintentionally create some BDSM gear.

But as with most of the quests in this game, learning how to dye was a bit of a pain. You have to be level 15, purchase some orange juice from Katherine in Ul’dah, then go all the way to Western Thanalan to complete a quest. The fact that this is the only place in the entire game to initiate said quest seems quite odd to me personally.

Well aside from its flaws, FFXIV was still engaging. I don’t believe its worth the monthly subscription at this point, but at least it has plenty of content to keep players busy for months to come. In the next post we’ll explore the steamier side of FFXIV, until next time…
