Thames Water will be doing some night-time working at Chobham Sewage Treatment Works
When will this take place?
The work will take place overnight from Wednesday 24 April to the morning of Thursday 25 April. We do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
What will we be doing?
To carry out the work at the main Chobham STW, we have to shut off some equipment in the Chobham Recreation Ground pumping station. Tankers will then operate from the recreation ground to the Beldham Bridge pumping station to discharge the excess flows. The tankers will be in operation from 7pm on Wednesday 24 April until the early hours of Thursday morning. During this time you may notice increased activity at the pumping station, but we will try to keep disruption to a minimum. Again, apologies for any inconvenience.

Chobham Care is a group of Volunteers in Chobham who offer practical short term help for anyone living in the Chobham area.
In particular they can provide transport to the doctors, hospital or other medical appointments.
Currently they are helping people to get their vaccinations or collect prescriptions.
If you would like some help from Chobham Care you can contact them on 01276 856857, Monday to Friday between 10 am and 12 noon.
For those of you who are gardeners Wendy Bentall has a small plant stall outside her house at Heneage Farm, Windlesham Road selling perennial plants and now a few small vegetable seedlings.
Everything is £3, it is the same effort to grow a plant big or small, and this does not break your self isolation, just put the money in the letterbox.
All the money goes to Plant Heritage to support the growers of National Plant Collections and preserve the diversity of garden plants.

This year's Chobham Museum AGM is on Wednesday the 28th March 2018, at 7pm in the Parish Pavilion.

Come and enjoy Skylark Baby & Toddler group where there is access to a range of stimulating toys to play with your child/children or let them enjoy the activity of the day. The session is held in the spacious, bright, Mais Ogle Hall at the heart of the school, with access to our lovely Nursery playground and woodland area.
The group is offered to expectant mothers, parents and carers with babies and children 0 to 4 years. The afternoon offers a valuable introduction to some of the activities at Coworth Flexlands’ Skylark Nursery including song time, painting, and outdoor play. Activity each afternoon is often guided by the weather – rain will lead to indoor activities, dry weather will often encourage outdoor play.

People following this group may recall for many years, over 30 in fact, 53 High Street used to be Gemini Gems, a jewellery shop owned by my dad Guy Matthews.
Finally retiring at the age of 75, he and his wife sold up and moved to St. John's.
It is with great sadness that I have to report that Guy passed away on Sunday 19th February 2017.

As of Thursday March 23rd 2017 the free email service available for chobham.net will no longer work.
The company that have provided the free webmail service for Chobham.net email accounts have decided to stop this service. From Thursday February 23rd 2017 your account will have its ability to send mail through web mail disabled. You will still be able to receive and read your messages until March 23rd 2017.
We have decided that the most reliable alternative for providing chobham.net email account will be to use the Microsoft Office 365 system. There will be an annual fee of £40 for these accounts. If you would like to have your account setup on this new system, please contact Nicholas Young on webmaster@chobham.net with your name and email account.

The Chobham Christmas Extravaganza 2016 will be on Friday 2nd December. From 3.30pm until 8.30pm
Shops will be open till late, a Christmas market will be in the Sun Inn car park, and a Santa's grotto in WhatNots.
