In reply to CB. It is also my understanding that the curd can be frozen but I usually just cover it the way you did and keep it that way in the refrigerator until needed.

In reply to Marsha. I don't see why not but you might find the syrup sliding off the nuts using the oil but I don't think it will be noticeable. Let me know how it works out! Enjoy!

First turkey I’ve ever made. I left off the tomatoes and livers, and forgot the mushrooms. Substituted half the carrots for parsnips and basically dropped all the seasonings. The vegetables still tasted delicious and the method produced a juicy bird with crispy skin. My father’s birthday was a great success! Thank you!
