Baseball has done itself in. Sure, it’s a slow-paced game, but baseball lost my support following multiple labor disputes, one of which cancelled the World Series in a great season; steroid and HGH scandals that made records meaningless; and finally a World Series cheating scandal in which the offending team got away with z championship trophy.

It should have been revoked.

Baseball shows little respect for the game. Why then should I care?

I agree with a good portion of this article, however baseball is largely dying because of accessibility. When you have to pay over a hundred dollars a year to watch a few games on tv it deters most people from watching. Younger generation’s don’t get to see baseball the way my generation did. I understand it’s not a fast paced game it’s was never meant to be. It’s a war of attrition. Ticket prices are ridiculous and the price of anything at the ballpark is overwhelming. Baseball is a wonderful game but it has went through so many changes in the last decade it’s becoming increasingly harder to watch. Lastly, baseball is not boring. It’s a timing game everything in baseball is about timing, the swing of a bat, the catch of a line drive, even a pop fly. It’s all about timing. The guy’s with the skills that have the natural ability to make everything look easy don’t get enough credit. No hitter’s are becoming a thing of the past, the hitters have the advantage, even as I say this I understand strikeouts are way up but that’s because the game of small ball is a thing of the past. Home runs are king. No more stealing bases, no more hit and run. This makes the game boring. Just my thoughts. I hope the game at some point gets back to its roots and bounces back but I don’t see that actually happening.

I agree with everything you said. As there has to be a floor there has to be a cap the dodgers cannot be allowed to buy championships every year because there’s no incentive for the other teams to compete because they can’t. And the fans know that, and football every team has a chance to win because all everything is equal. The playing field has to be equal

Coach Kacie was a very special person, and that doesn’t even begin to describe her. She was not just a coach to us, she was more like a big sister and a best friend, who just happened to teach us how to swim. But she taught us so much more than just how to swim. She taught us to make the best of a bad situation, how to always be positive, and how to just have fun and cherish the memories we made together. We shared countless memories and laughs and inside jokes, and she always knew the perfect thing to say if we were having a hard day, a rough set, or if she just wanted to make us laugh. Her smile was so beautiful, and it was never hard to find. She always had a smile on, no matter what, and she never failed to brighten everyone’s day with it. We cherished her two-word pre-meet pep talks, her beautiful laugh, the endless jokes and games between us, and she is irreplaceable. She touched so many hearts and made a difference in so many people’s lives. We all love her more than words can ever describe, and she will be missed forever. Thank you, Kacie, for everything that you have done for us, we will love you and miss you forever.
