The film dominated its opening weekend, going straight to number one as the most-streamed title in Sweden. The wait is over for Nordic action thriller fans! The survival horror feature We Die Tonight (Vi dör i natt) is now officially available for digital purchase (EST) across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland on platforms including SF Anytime, ViaPlay, Apple TV, Amazon and Youtube / Google Play.

Christian Magdu Takes on Dual Role in New Swedish Feature We Die Tonight (2025)

This fall, Christian Magdu returns to the big screen in the intense Swedish action thriller We Die Tonight (Vi dör i natt), set for a nationwide Swedish, theatrical release October 24.

In addition to playing one of the lead roles, Magdu also serves as producer on the film — a dual responsibility that has placed him at the creative and strategic heart of the project from development through post-production.

We Die Tonight is a gripping, character-driven story directed by Richard Holm (Avgrunden/Netflix’s The Abyss, Johan Falk) set over the course of a single night, exploring themes of loyalty, desperation, and survival. The film is distributed in the Nordics by Scanbox Entertainment and sales worldwide outside of Nordics is REInvent Yellow.

Christian Magdu joins next season of Exit

Photo: NRK. In Season 3 of the hugely popular, Norwegian tv-show Exit, Christian Magdu will be guest starring as Andrei, the brother of the character Magdalena. Next season is set to premiere March 2023 and will air on NRK as well as Sweden’s SVT (late April). Viewers based in Norway can catch up on the previous seasons via NRK’s website.

Gåsmamman Season 5 and 6 (2021/2022)

On September 20th Christian Magdu will enter the thrilling universe of hugely popular, Nordic Noir Swedish crime series Gåsmamman (Bigster Studios) which premieres season 5 in the Nordics on premium SVOD channel C More. As Yussuf, an elegant antagonist of international mystery, he will be part of the story all along to the very end of season 6 (premiering August 29th 2022).

Gåsmamman is based on Dutch tv show Penoza and streaming internationally under that name on Amazon Prime in the UK. It was remade for American network television under the name Red Widow, but no other iteration of the show has been as successful and ran for as many seasons as the Swedish version.

The film is a homage to 1950’s noir films and co-stars Swedish Guldbagge winner Mats Blomgren (Midsommar, Fartblinda). The film is produced by Christian Magdu and executive produced by the screenwriter, under their CHRISMA Film shingle. Premiere is set for the festival circuit in 2020 / 2021. The Pro on IMDb.
