As Marvel heroes and villains go, Weapon Hulk is kind of a rare one. The massive monster made a splash when he first appeared in the pages of Weapons Of Mutant Destruction, and has figured into several series’ and events in the years since, but hasn’t become a major hero in the Marvel Universe. And on top of that, he really hasn’t gotten much merch at all. If you’re a fan of the amalgamation of Wolverine and Hulk though, this might be your week.

Collectible and comics giant Diamond Select is sending the character to store shelves as a 1/7th scale statue, alongside busts of Moon Knight and Star Wars mainstay Boba Fett. Though the latter doesn’t hold the image of the bounty hunter that you might be expecting, but instead reflects his appearance just after Attack of the Clones.

Taking over

Is Bobamania running wild? I guess it kind of is, with the aforementioned TV show and the Original Trilogy bounty hunter seeming to factor into post-Jedi events in a pretty big way.

If you’re a fan, and you’re on the lookout for a centerpiece featuring the character, then you might want to take a gander at what Hot Toys is cooking up. It’s not only one of the best looking Boba Fett figures ever created, but it’s also one of the biggest at over 17″ tall.

With the figure’s release coming up fast, the toy-maker’s retailing partner Sideshow has unleashed one of its famous unboxing videos.

Inspired by The Book of Boba Fett, the Boba Fett 1/4 Scale Collectible Figure by Hot Toys stands at an impressive 17.71″ tall, and features a hand-painted headsculpt with an authentic likeness of Temuera Morrison in the titular role. The figure also comes with a new Boba Fett Mandalorian helmet featuring an articulated rangefinder. Boba is dressed in detailed armor which includes gauntlets, knee guards, a belt with ammo clips, and a pistol holster. He comes equipped with a blaster rifle, a pistol, a flamethrower effect, and a jetpack with detachable rocket, plus holograms of his palace and starship. His armor, weapons, and accessories are expertly aged with weathered details. This highly poseable figure has over 30 points of articulation and comes with a specially designed figure stand.

The Boba Fett Quarter Scale figure from Hot Toys comes in both Collector (standard) and Deluxe Editions. If you din’t watch the video, the difference is the stand, which lights up via USB-C. The former is priced in at $515 USD, while the latter is $625.

Both are still up for pre-order on Sideshow’s online shop, and whichever one you choose, the pair are scheduled to ship this month.

Fate sometimes steps in

When The Mandalorian first aired, it was a pretty well-established theory that it was actually Boba Fett behind his helmet. Of course, we ended up meeting a completely new character with Dinn Djarin, but that didn’t stop the Fett-train.

Fans of the believed-dead bounty hunter got to see him back in action come season 2 of the above show, as he reclaimed his armor. But that was just the start, as Boba also set off for his own spinoff.

Of course, with the reintroduction of Fett, there’s been a ton of merchandise too. That’s included action figures, comics, statues, and what might be the biggest (and maybe coolest) Boba Fett collectible of all time.

Courtesy of Sideshow, comes a monster 1:1 bust of the man himself, suited up in his scarred-armor as seen in The Mandalorian.

Boba Fett’s masterfully painted and weathered armor alludes to his many battles and his eventual escape from the dreaded sarlacc pit. His updated costume has a sculpted undersuit and scarf, and his jetpack is mounted on his shoulders to complete his signature look. Furthermore, the articulated rangefinder, digital chest plate, and jetpack have additional light-up elements to further enhance your display.

Sideshow teamed with Legacy Effects for the piece, which looks to be incredibly detailed. As you can see, Fett’s armor has peeling paint and is heavily weathered. He does feature his neck scarf and jetpack as well, looking fresh from the fight against Moff Gideon’s Stormtroopers.

Pre-orders are open right now for Boba Fett, with the bust scheduled to ship some time between this November and March of 2024. He’s priced in at $2050 USD.

If you’ve been itching for a few more of Dark Horse Comics’ Star Wars tales, you’re in luck. The publisher will be launching its own line of branded books into a fresh volume of the Hyperspace Stories series.

As with volume 1, you can expect a monster cast of not just characters, but also comic book talent to be onboard. Names include the likes of Cecil Castellucci, Amanda Deibert, and Michael Moreci on the writing side. Joining them will be artists Andy Duggan, Andrea Mutti, Riccardo Faccini, and Eduardo Mello, with colorists Daniel Jackson and Michael Atiyeh. Oh, did we mention cover art from Cary Nord and Tom Fowler? No? Well we did now.

That’s a lotta Fett

The Book of Boba Fett has gotten somewhat mixed reviews, both from critics and fans. Basically, its first season has been up and down, and featured some odd choices pertaining to the title character. But along with that there’ve been some incredible guest appearances, including fan-favorites from shows-gone-by, and some genuinely badass Fett action.

If you’ve been a fan, or are just a fan of Boba Fett, then you might want to check out Hot Toys’ latest. In a larger scale than the company’s usual Movie Masterpieces, this new Fett figure is a massive 17.7″ tall, and is packed with accessories and detail.

I want my armor

And he got it too, as we saw in The Mandalorian season 2. Boba Fett, originally thought to have died in the belly of the sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi, returned in a big way in that second season of the popular Disney+ show.

Fett escaped the pit, but had lost his armor. Though it wasn’t long before he got it back, and just in time to seriously put the hurt on a squad of Stormtroopers. That specific moment is the subject of the latest statue in Sideshow Toys’ lineup.

A Premium Format Figure, Fett stands in at 22.38″ tall, and is sculpted on terrain reflecting the planet Tython. The figure showcases Fett’s “weathered armor”, before he was able to refinish it. And as you can see, it’s also complete with two different portraits. Both masked and unmasked are included.

The Boba Fett Premium Format Figure is fully sculpted and features highly detailed paint applications to recreate the weathered state of his recovered armor. This polystone Star Wars statue includes two swap-out portraits, enabling fans to depict Fett wearing his distinctive Mandalorian helmet, or to display him unmasked (showcasing a stunning hand-painted portrait of the character and his scarred visage as he appeared in The Mandalorian).

Boba also comes fully equipped for battle with his jetpack, a gaffi stick, and a blaster pistol. The chest plate of his armor also includes a light-up feature, which can be activated with the included power cord.

I don’t want your armor

If you saw The Mandalorian’s second season, then you know how big of a part Boba Fett played. Back from seeming-death in return of the Jedi, Fett was back with a vengeance in the series, and helped to ensure the survival of Grogu (The Child).

If you saw the tease recently too, then you know that collectible-maker Hot Toys is prepping their own take on the new version of the character. As of this past week, we know have a lot more detail on what’ll be included in not only one, but two versions.

Both versions are scaled at 1/6th, and look to be tremendously detailed. The weathered armor, fresh from Cobb Vanth’s possession, is replicated beautifully. Both are pretty packed too, though the deluxe is loaded up with some extra cool stuff, including a second figure.

The Empire Strikes Back

One of the best-loved Star Wars films of all time, The Empire Strikes Back is the current era for Marvel’s comics featuring Disney and Lucasfilm’s IP. If you missed the move, it happened a while ago, moving the era up from post-New Hope.

And yes, that means that these comics are supposed to be all taking place after the second (chronologically) Star Wars movie. And yes again, that means they don’t have one Han Solo in them. After the events of Empire, he’s safely encased in Carbonite and in the hands of Boba Fett.

That’s the focus of very first crossover event of this new Star Wars comic-book-age, The War of the Bounty Hunters. When the crossover kicks off, we find Fett en route to Jabba’s palace on Tatooine, but it’s not destined to be what you’d call a smooth ride.

The notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett is on route to Tatooine to collect the massive bounty placed on Han Solo’s head by the fearsome crime lord Jabba the Hutt. But no one said it would be easy. The hunter becomes the hunted as pursuers from all corners of the galaxy set their sights on Boba and his precious cargo. Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Doctor Aphra, the galaxy’s deadliest bounty hunters, and more are all on a collision course that will reveal surprising new details about this long-unexplored era in the Star Wars mythos.

As with all comic book crossovers, this one will be reaching into a few additional titles other than Fett’s. And by that, I mean all of Marvel’s Star Wars books will have an issue that includes part of the story. Not only that, but you can also expect to see a special “Alpha” issue too.

He’s no good to me dead

Unless you’ve been intentionally not paying attention, you likely know that Boba Fett is back. Last seen in the jaws (beak?) of the Sarlacc pit in the aftermath of Jabba’s demise, the greatest bounty hunter of the Star Wars galaxy has made his return.

How is he back? How did he escape the pit of Carkoon? No idea, and even though Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian made him a pretty major part of its season 2, it didn’t get into the actual means of Fett’s return.

That may, however, factor into the upcoming Book of Boba Fett TV series, and also the upcoming Marvel Comic based on the character. Just announced, the book has zero detail as to what the narrative might be, though Boba looks to be his old self on the cover.

That’d mean that we’d be looking at the young Fett, from the Original Trilogy time period, and not the post-Jedi version. Well not to worry either way, since you won’t have long to wait for more on the subject. Marvel says that Star Wars’ website will have additional tomorrow. So basically, stay tuned.

He’s back

Boba Fett. The name is legend when it comes to the Star Wars universe. And thanks to The Mandalorian season 2, we now know that the clone warrior did not in fact meet his fate in Return of the Jedi.

Fett played a huge part in the second season of the hit show, and is now set to feature in his own spinoff. The Book of Boba Fett, starring actor Temura Morrison as the title character, will be hitting Disney+ some time at the end of this year.

But before we get there, you might want to have a look at what Hot Toys is preparing to unleash. The high-end toy maker has what looks to be a The Mandalorian-inspired Fett on the way. Though, that and the single image you see here is all we have to go off of so far.

Nevertheless, it’s pretty easy to tell this is going to be a terrific take on the aged Fett. Not that you really even needed the pic to tell that, since Hot Toys has something of a great reputation going for it.
