]]>Previous proposed legislation would return skill games to its previous legality for 180-days after the initial deadline, which would be April 13, 2027.
This new legislation would extend that deadline but it would also add a sunset on the April date, which would require another piece of legislation to extend the deadline. Otherwise, once the new deadline passed skill games would return to their current illegality.
The bills memo argues, that this extension will give the legislative the necessary extension to pass a permanent piece of legislation.
