]]>Miss Amelie has arrived in Beechworth. The location is prime, at the one and only round about in Beechworth. The upstairs balcony gives you sensational views of Beechworth whilst sipping on coffee, sweet pastries, salads and wraps. And it’s licensed so a glass of local wine or beer to accompany some fine food is a Beechworth must do.
Tiny is two years old and it’s just that….a tiny space but with huge personality. Drop in and see Liv and Jake, who are without doubt the most entrepreneurial and energetic young folk going round. By night, Jake is a photographer and Liv a musician, and by day, Tiny is their gig. They serve fabulous coffee, hot chocs, chai and jaffles. Small but mighty – most definitely.

]]>We are rolling with the punches, like all of you, but are totally committed to safe travel, following the Victorian Government’s restrictions and good cleaning protocols to manage your safety. Luckily 1860 is self contained for one couple only so there are no shared spaces or risks from interacting with other guests.
We absolutely do not want anyone to suffer more than they have due to COVID 19 so our cancellation policy is to refund all bookings (100%) or move the dates if you would prefer. If you need to cancel your booking due to contracting COVID 19 or due to mandatory quarantine requirements, we will need a Dr’s certificate or proof of your quarantine status to enable the refund.
We wish you all good health and can’t wait to see you again in Beechworth.

]]>If you’re in the beautiful north-east of Victoria in Autumn , you’re in for a leafy treat. Mid to late April is when the leaves start to turn and show off their impressive red and golden hues. To add to the gorgeousness you absolutely must turn off-the-beaten-track and head 8km from Beechworth to the rolling hills of Stanley.
In this impossibly beautiful hamlet you’ll discover the Europa Gully Orchard, located at 22 Chambeyron Road Stanley. Here you can pick the freshest apples – to your heart’s and tummy’s delight. The very clever and committed Charlie and Jade Showers from Black Barn Farm, have opened up the vineyard for pick-your-own farm sales of heritage varieties including long forgotten names like Mutsu, King Cole and Five Crown. All the apples are grown without the use of synthetic fertilisers, insecticides or herbicides.
After filling your hearts with the pure goodness of farm fresh, hand picked apples, head to the ‘Dough Bros’ stand and order yourself the best apple cider doughnuts in Australia. Delicious!
Europe Gully Orchard is open every Saturday, 10am – 4pm plus everyday during the Victorian and NSW school holidays (6-28 April). They are closed Good Friday and Anzac Day.
