I’m loving “The Growing Season.” Oh how I can relate. It was such a pleasure to meet you at NCBA and I took your advice to look for a writer’s conference. Instead, I’ve signed up for one on one lessons with Bob Goff! Can you believe that! Thank you again for the pep talk.

I really loved reading this. We actually had whiskey and honey also growing up. I hated it. I remember when my mom would have to hold me in the corner of the cabinet to take it lol. That was the nastiest taste I think I have ever had lol. But you know what it really worked. Thank you for sharing this.

We love pimento cheese! No sugar, no Velveeta just mild cheddar, jar of pimentos, Mayo & pepper.
Thanks for this memory, Sarah!

I love my coffee black and all the things you listed! Country girls we are! …And uch more!!!! I’m so glad that Isaac and his family are living in my Mama’s house and neighbors with you and your family. Cousins are the best to grow up with. Granny Williams and Bruce Philpott (her Brother, Perry’s Grandpa) would be proud family is still important to us!
Perry stands like his Daddy in that picture!!!
