I got fed up with dealing with it so have swapped it out for the fotorite magenta based on the test here:

I’m fine with all other IS colours – just the magenta constantly causing issues.

His grammar may be up to scratch, but his reasoning is way out. When I first watched the video I assumed the screen was a no-cost item as the laptop was dead and the cost was for other items. It still seems that way to me.

I know you did not post this looking for praise, but I must say that I have found your projects on Kickstarter that I have backed have contained high quality hardware and very helpful support.

Keep up the good work!

That’s the thing. The comment seemed quite literate and grammatically correct. Also notable that it was edited within the first hour as well. I wonder what was amended/corrected? Maybe inserted the S-word into the penultimate sentence an extra time for comic effect? There really was no other way to react than to laugh.

If he doesn’t like free content then he can opt to stop consuming it. It’s easy. He could read a book or something.

The plus side of taking the money at the time of pledging is that backers can’t pull out. The downside, probably from IGG’s point of view, would be that if a project fails they may still have some transaction fees to pay, so they have an incentive to get projects across the line.

I quite like the way KS does it. It allows backers to change their mind, but it can be open to abuse. At one time there was a mystery £5k contributor to various Pi projects who was doing it just to be an a’hole. They wouldn’t be able to do that on IGG.

But the whole point here is that both of the above are known about in advance by both backers and creators and are the same for everyone. Extensions are not.

I am not affiliated with the product but I have contributed to it. There is a difference with IndieGoGo in that they take the money when you pledge, and you get it back if the project is not fully funded.

I’m not sure how I feel about it getting an extension. On the one hand, it does mean that I will get one, assuming that it reaches its target at the second attempt, but I’m slightly worried if it only just makes it and they haven’t quite done their costings right that I won’t get one, but I also won’t get my money back.

I haven’t found them too bad, but like any inks they will fade with time. I stopped using them because sadly my Canon died about 2 years ago 🙁 I was feeling stingy at the time and replaced it with an inferior Epson SX535WD

I have read your review on the fotorite and octoink, so I have tried both but I find photographs fade very quickly in normal day light not in direct sun light. Have you found the longevityof these inks very short. Regards Don Collins
