The final conference of ”Local Alliance for Integration“ (LION) project , funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union (AMIF-2016-AG-INTE), was successfully implemented on Friday, November 29, 2019 09:00 – 18:00 at the Conference Room of School of Public Health (former NSPH), 196 Alexandra Ave., Athens, attended by 120 guests among them and official guests of multiple government bodies.

Recreational activities “Create your own world” & “Make your own character”

LION project coordinated by the Department of Public Health Policies, University of West Attica(former ESDY) in partnership with Gent University, Praksis NGO, European Public Law Organisation (EPLO -European Public Law Organization -European Public Law Organization), CMT ProoptikiProoptiki and Syn-eirmos NGO and in collaboration with Dia-drasis: educational program of YMCA for refugee children is organising Recreational activities called “Create your own world” on 12.07.2019 & “Make your own character” on 19.07.2019. The activities aim at helping children to foster intercultural communication between different cultural groups, express themselves and interact with each other.

The activities are designed for children from 2,5 to 6 years old and the groups of each activity will be max 20 people.

When:12.07.2019 (11:00-13:00) & 19.07.2019 (17:00-19:00)

LION project participted at the International Conference of the International Urban Symposium (IUS): Urban Inequalities: Ethnographic Insights, organized by the Commission on Urban Anthropology (CUA) and Department of Social and Educational Policy of the University of the Peloponnese, on the 21st of July 2019 in Corinth,Greece. During the conference representatives of LION project discussed about Integration Strategies of Third‐country Nationals in Greece.

LION project is organising on June 28, 2019, at 11:00-14:00 an info day related to employment, intercultural coexistence and formal education at “OIKOPOLIS” (5th floor), 29th Ptolemaion Street, 5th floor, Thessaloniki, T.K. 54630. The info day will present LION’s project general objectives related to the integration of TCNs in local communities, will summarize issues discussed in the consultations on formal education, employment and intercultural coexistence, and will distribute to the TCNs two informative guides in 4 languages: a guide accessing formal education and a guide regarding intercultural coexistence.
