One day I was babysitting by 3 year old cousin and she was running around and pushes me down saying, “Lay down, you’re dead. Let me eat your heart out. Num. Num. Num. It’s so yummy.” I then tried to get up and she said very loudly, “NO YOU’RE DEAD. DON’T MOVE.” I told her mom when she got home and a few days later found out that she was pretending to be the Evil Queen in the original Snow White.

You are quite wrong about the oil in the DH recipe. I have the box right here, and it does NOT call for 3/4 cup oil! It calls for 2/3, which is already nuts!!!

No reason boys shouldn’t have pretty sparkly fingers. I’ve gone to my blue collar job in deep red flyover country wearing nail polish. The only reaction was a couple of my female co-workers telling me how pretty my nails were, and a couple more asking what kind of nail polish I was using.

I teach middle school culinary and used this recipe at the beginning of the semester as our “Mystery Lab” (to teach them to read the recipe all the way through).
Since then, they have asked to make it again many times. It is so simple but was a huge hit – especially with middle schoolers!
