Autotuner Simoes 18.1 OBD VR Cannot Unlock ECU Solution

Problem: One of Autotuner‘s users was trying to read and write a VW Golf 7 Simos 18.1 ECU via OBD. He has this message: This VR might not be able to unlock the ECU. Can AT do it by OBD or does it have to downgrade the version first? Here is the clue. For some reason, Autotuner can not unlock 5g0906259-0010. All other tools can so not sure why they have an issue. It won’t work with 0010 if its already been flashed to that version. Try roll back to 009 lower version. If AT is impossible to write with 0010, 0007, 0006, it cannot do it via OBD. Do it in boot mode or use a different tool: Flex or KESS3. Kess works on that software version.

Xhorse Multi Prog 2024 Geely Coolray Cluster Mileage Correction

It’s a 2024 Geely Coolray, and I need to correct the mileage. The panel looks like this: First, remove the instrument panel. To do this, pull the visor up with one sharp movement, unscrew the 12 screws, and then remove the panel. The rear panel cover is secured with clips and 4 screws. EEPROM chip which contains the mileage. We read the m24c08 microcircuit using any convenient programmer, but it’s necessary to desolder it; you can make a mess with a clothespin. Let’s remove the dash panel, lower the fuse box, and unscrew the four BCM mounting bolts. It’s on the left pillar at the top of the front; it contains a bunch of components. Removing it is very inconvenient. Next, we need to find something to read it with. There’s no EEPROM there; all the information is stored in the processor. The Xhorse Multi Prog programmer helped us with this. The connection is easy, but you’ll need to be handy with a soldering iron. We read it, sent it to the same programmer, uploaded it back to the BCM, and then re-entered it into the instrument cluster. I put it back together, and bingo! The mileage is exactly what I needed. I ran the auto launcher through the modules, and the transmission included the mileage from the BCM. I didn’t see any digital mileage in the other modules, so that was it.

Program 2022 Volvo XC60 all keys lost with Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus successfully. Decode lock with Lishi auto pick. Remove CEM module under the instrument on the driver’s side. Disassemble the CEM module and read data with key tool plus. Connect 6 wires on the CEM circuit board. Also requires soldering a 100 ohm resistor on the green wire. Xhorse Multi Prog Clone PSA SID803 ECU via OBD or BDM?

Question: I have a Citroën C4 2.0 HDI with Siemens SID803 ECU (not SID803A), and in the Xhorse Multi-PROG software, this specific ECU is only listed under OBD mode for reading MAPS. Since this is only a partial read, is it safe to flash an EGR, Stage1, file via OBD with this tool? Solution: OBD mode you can just read and write maps. Not full data. To read full micro eeprom and flash you need to open it and read it in BDM mode. One of our cutsomers has already cloned one like this just by opening it in bdm. In sid803 need read in bdm and modify egr in micro not in flash. For OBD you need ioTerminal.

It’s done in boot mode. OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 unlocked in boot glitch mode. Need to have soldering skills. Open ECU, remove 1 resistor and solder C4-06 adapter. Requires G3 with ECU Flasher license activation and connecting MP001 programmer. DC706 and ECU Master will do the same. Automatic checksum correction with G3. Adblue off ok.
