This release calendar is your roadmap. It shows when favorites return, when limited batches hit the taps, and when new ideas step into the spotlight. Every cider on this list carries momentum from our wins at the 2025 Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition (GLINTCAP). Those medals weren’t about flexing—they set the bar. We’re bringing that gold-medal standard into every batch in 2026.

Before we get into what’s pouring month by month, it’s worth grounding this lineup in what stays constant.
We ferment with real Virginia apples, grown in local soil, not concentrate. That connection to place shows up in every sip—layered, bright, and honest. It’s why our ciders drink the way they do and why they hold their own year after year. Every cider we make is naturally gluten-free. That’s not a checkbox or a trend. It’s simply how cider works when apples lead the way.
You’ll find all of this pouring at our Virginia hard cider taproom and bar, where the calendar comes to life one glass at a time.

The year opens with comfort, bite, and a slow shift toward brighter days.
January – Winterfest (Cranberry Spiced Cider)
Winterfest brings warmth when it’s needed most. Built from our Gold Medal Roc Hard Amber base, this 6.2% ABV cider layers cinnamon with hints of cranberry for a cold-weather staple.
February – Paddy Green
Fairly dry with a tart finish, Paddy Green is made with 100% Granny Smith apples. Sharp, lively, and crowd-loved, it clocks in at 115 calories and 9g carbs per 12 oz. This one makes tongues dance.
March – Blueberry
Fresh blueberries join three local apple varieties mid-fermentation, bursting open for deep flavor and tannins. The result lands balanced, bold, and far from flat.
April – Peaches Over Amber
Our classic amber base gets a jolt of peaches. What started as curiosity turned into a fan favorite that bridges spring and warmer days ahead.

Longer days call for bright pours and lighter drinking.
May – Lemon Peach Tea
A warm-weather go-to that stays balanced and easygoing. Peaches and select apples build a smooth base, while lemon brings just enough snap to keep things lively.
June – Fire on the Mountain
Inspired by campfires and glowing ridgelines, this raspberry and blueberry cider finishes with a vanilla crumble note that fits early summer nights.
July – Pineapple Mango
Tropical flavor takes over with this semi-sweet seasonal. Pineapple and mango bring island energy straight to the Blue Ridge.

As the year matures, the lineup leans into depth, spice, and local history.
August – People’s Choice (TBD)
August belongs to the crowd. This release comes straight from fan feedback, with details announced closer to the pour date.
September – Ginger Gold Peach
The Ginger Gold apple traces its roots to Hurricane Camille in 1969. Paired with all-natural peaches, this cider honors a resilient Virginia apple with a clean peach finish.
October – Into the Orchard
Cinnamon, allspice, and cloves ferment with our molasses amber base. Carbonation pops, flavor follows, and the finish stays dry but welcoming. Served cold, room temp, or heated for our famous Hot Toadies.

The final stretch brings richness, reflection, and a few special pours.
November – Ginger Gold Blackberry
That same historic Ginger Gold apple meets all-natural blackberries, creating a deep, fruit-forward cider rooted in local legacy.
December – Winterfest (Returns)
Winterfest comes back around to close the year, pouring cranberry spice and comfort straight through the holidays.
May 30 & September 5 – Toadeeo
Brewed for our Rockfish River Rodeo, Toadeeo blends wild blackberries and raspberries. We crush the berries ourselves, tipping our hats to bull and bronc riders with a cider that hits tart and bold.
This calendar isn’t about rushing the year—it’s about savoring it. From gold-recognized foundations to short-run favorites, 2026 is stacked with reasons to raise a glass. Mark the dates, gather your crew, and meet us at the taproom. The year of flavor is already pouring.

Our ciders are built in Nelson County, Virginia, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and poured fresh at our Virginia hard cider taproom and bar. Paddy Green stands front and center—a cider that’s crisp, tart, and unapologetically dry.
It’s also our International Gold Medal Winning Blue Ridge Mtn Hard Cider, recognized at the Great Lakes International Cider & Perry Competition (GLINTCAP). Today, it remains our #1 cider year-round!

Beer often leans on malt weight and hop finish. Paddy Green cuts a different line. Built with Granny Smith apples grown in Nelson County, Virginia, it drinks lean and sharp with a clean snap at the end. Reach for Paddy Green when you’re craving acidity and clarity instead of fullness.

There are days when stouts and hazy pours feel like overkill. Paddy Green keeps things light without watering anything down. It’s dry, tart, and refreshing—easy to keep drinking without palate fatigue.

Paddy Green pairs where many beers fall short. Its acidity works with salty, rich, and sharp flavors—cheese boards, fried foods, grilled fare. Instead of competing with the plate, it clears the way for the next bite.

This cider wasn’t built to please everyone. It was built for fans of dry Irish cider. After many trips to Ireland, our founder grew attached to the dry, no-nonsense ciders found there. Back home, the goal was simple: recreate that sharp Irish character using local fruit. Granny Smith apples grown near the Blue Ridge Mountains proved to be the right call. After small test batches and steady customer buzz, Paddy Green was born—and it went on to take Gold Medals at GLINTCAP, the largest international cider competition in the world.
Beer has its place. So does a cider that drinks clean, tart, and dry from start to finish. Next time you’re scanning the taps, skip the usual and grab the pint that’s earned Gold on the international stage. Paddy Green is pouring now—sharp, honest, and ready when you are. Discover how the crisp, complex flavors of our ciders can transform your dining experience from ordinary to extraordinary.
The right beverage can enhance the flavors of a meal, and our locally sourced, farm-to-can ciders are no exception. Just as you might pair a fine wine with a specific dish, hard cider offers a versatile and exciting spectrum of tasting notes that can complement everything from a hearty entrée to a light appetizer. This guide will walk you through the art of pairing, ensuring your next meal is perfectly matched with a refreshing Blue Toad Cider.

Our traditional dry hard ciders are celebrated for their crisp, clean finish. This makes them an incredibly versatile partner for a wide range of savory dishes. The subtle apple notes and effervescence cut through richness, making them a perfect match for roasted pork, grilled chicken, and savory seafood dishes. The acidity acts as a palate cleanser, preparing you for the next delicious bite.

For our more fruit-forward ciders, like the popular Toadeo Wildberry or the tropical Pineapple Mango, think contrast and harmony. The inherent sweetness and bright fruit flavors are a fantastic counterpoint to spicy foods, such as Thai curry or zesty tacos. The cider’s sweetness tames the heat while its fruity notes complement the dish’s complexity.

Our seasonal releases are crafted to capture the essence of the time of year. For our autumn ciders, with their warm spice notes, consider pairing them with hearty stews, roasted root vegetables, and classic fall desserts like apple crumble. These pairings create a comforting and cohesive flavor experience that celebrates the best of the season.

Our award-winning Imperial Paddy Blueberry Hard Cider demands a pairing that can stand up to its bold, rich flavor profile. Consider matching this gold-medal cider with equally robust foods like a juicy steak, aged cheeses, or even a decadent dark chocolate dessert. The cider’s complexity will shine alongside these strong, distinct flavors.

A well-crafted charcuterie and cheese board is a classic companion to hard cider. The variety of textures and flavors—from salty cured meats to creamy, tangy cheeses—is beautifully complemented by the different profiles in our cider lineup. Experiment with different combinations to discover your own perfect pairing.
We encourage you to use this guide as a starting point for your own culinary adventures. The world of food and cider pairing is vast and exciting, and the best way to learn is by experimenting.
