Summer 2020 Practicum with Early Identification Program Summer Academy

Welcome! My name is Carla Goodwin and I am in the Higher Education and Student Development MA program. Full-time, I work as an undergraduate Admissions Counselor at George Mason University. This summer, I am hoping to gain some academic and professional insight into the high school side of the college admissions process. As increased access for marginalized and nontraditional populations is my interest area within higher education, my practicum site allows for this interest to be explored. I will be completing my practicum with Mason’s Early Identification Program, which is a college preparation program specifically for first-generation students in the Northern Virginia area.
