She's the first modern all-weather lifeboat to be propelled by waterjets instead of traditional propellers, making her our most agile and manoeuvrable all-weather lifeboat yet.<br>Llandudno Lifeboat Station was established in 1861, and has a long history of bravery, with accolades including Bronze Medals for heroism, long-service medals, and MBEs. Key honours include the 1919 Bronze Medal for a dramatic schooner rescue, and recent recognition for extensive rescues involving the depicted Shannon-class lifeboat

GOING “SHANNONISTIC” OUT OF ST IVES<br>Drawing by Nick Langdon. It depicts the St. Ives Shannon Class All Weather Lifeboat, Nora Stachura, heading out of the Harbour at great speed into a vibrant and very late sunset with a large rising moon. The Shannon is the first modern-generation all-weather lifeboat to run on waterjets rather than propellers. This allows the vessel to operate in shallow waters. Waterjets provide greater control when alongside other craft, in confined waters and in all sea conditions. There has been a lifeboat station at St Ives for well over 100 years, a lifeboat having been stationed there in 1840. RNLI St Ives has a rich history of gallantry and has been awarded Thirty-eight medals, consisting of 18 Silver and 20 Bronze

AROUND THE COBB AT LYME REGIS<br>Drawing by Nick Langdon. It depicts the Lyme Regis B Class Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat The Spirit of Loch Fyne around The historic Cobb, which has been destroyed or severely damaged by storms several times since 1377. When a bad storm in 1817 damaged the Cobb, it was virtually rebuilt using local Portland stone. The Lyme Regis lifeboat was originally established in 1825 by Coastguard Captain Richard Spencer and in 1826 was brought under the auspices of the RNLI. Lyme Regis Lifeboat Station has a rich history of lifesaving, and its crews have been presented with 20 awards for gallantry

Colour pencil drawing by Nick Langdon entitled TRIBUTE, and depicts the coxswain of Penlee RNLI Patch Harvey, and the RNLB Ivan Ellen in the background. This drawing is a tribute to his courage, leadership and determination to save lives in storm conditions, rescuing a sailing vessel with 8 people on board, that was disabled and taking on water approximately two miles off Porthleven upon 31st October 2022, and justly awarded a silver medal for gallantry and thanks of the Institution inscribed on Vellum. Mechanic Marcel Le Breton, Navigator James Roberts and crew members Will Tremeer, Adrian Thomas, Dan Sell and Trevellyan Worth also awarded Silver Medal Service Certificates for their courage, determination and teamwork under pressure and in extreme conditions. This sort of heroism exemplifies the extreme conditions that RNLI crews have faced in so many rescues, since its inception in 1824

It depicts a fictional rescue scene of a dog inspired by various RNLI video footage available to be seen online, as well as featured upon TV. It's not just humans that our lifesavers rescue, we also rescue animals especially dogs, who sometimes swim out too far or run off the edge of cliffs. Wells-next -the Sea Shannon class lifeboat Duke of Edinburgh 13-46 on the River Thames by Battersea Power Station.<br>Reflections on Thames Flotilla. On the 24 September 2022 over 150 boats will form up and create a wonderful spectacle of a ÔÇÿriver of light on the water of the River Thames reflecting on the 70 year reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II over the United Kingdom and The Commonwealth. To commemorate the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, these craft, of all shapes and sizes, lit with only white lights, will parade from Chelsea Harbour to Tower Bridge through the centre of London. Arriving in the Cromarty Firth for the first time, the Shannon was escorted by the stations current all-weather Trent class lifeboat Douglas Aikman Smith'.<br>In a fitting welcome to the town, five of the stations volunteer crew, with a combined service to the RNLI of over 125 years, sailed her into Invergordon. She arrived at precisely at 1:37pm to match the vessels number 13-37, depicting the 13m of the vessel length and 37 indicating the 37th Shannon class lifeboat built.
