Tampa Bay built its early advantage with a two-run double from Richie Palacios in the second inning before Junior Caminero and Yandy Díaz delivered two-run home runs late in the game. Caminero’s seventh-inning blast extended the lead, while Díaz added another in the eighth to put the game out of reach. Both hitters previously had ties to Cleveland’s organization.
Freddy Peralta helped keep the Guardians’ offense in check, allowing one run over 5⅓ innings. He earned American League Championship Series MVP honors after giving up just one run across 12 innings in three appearances during the series. Cleveland threatened late, but Tampa Bay’s bullpen closed out the victory and the American League pennant.
The Rays will open the World Series against the Brewers on Friday in Milwaukee. The matchup brings together two teams aiming to win their first World Series title, with Tampa Bay returning to the championship stage after a six-year absence.

]]>The decree gives the Department of Health and Human Services and the NIH 90 days to institute the new division, which will operate alongside the agency’s long-standing Office of Research on Women’s Health. NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya noted that the entity is designed to close scientific gaps regarding biological sex differences, accelerating therapeutic applications for conditions such as endometriosis, maternal health issues, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, and menopause. Concurrently, the newly formed White House Women’s Health Task Force, co-chaired by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, will synchronize federal policy across health agencies to modernize care standards and support regulatory updates.
During a ceremony in the Rose Garden, First Lady Melania Trump outlined key objectives for the initiative, emphasizing the integration of artificial intelligence to expedite medical discoveries, the development of targeted therapeutics, and making life-saving treatments more affordable. Addressing attendees, she stated, “Our mission must serve women at every stage of life”. The administration’s platform also seeks to reduce public stigma surrounding midlife female medical conditions and lower financial barriers to necessary treatments.
The executive mandate incorporates administrative actions by the Food and Drug Administration, including efforts to re-evaluate safety warnings on hormone replacement therapies and approve new medications for postmenopausal symptom management. Additionally, federal health officials unveiled specialized research collaboratives aimed at tracking diagnostic follow-up timelines for breast cancer and evaluating maternal-infant outcomes tied to fertility treatments. Observers noted that the order focuses heavily on midlife health, menopause, and chronic conditions while omitting specific language concerning reproductive rights and contraception research.

]]>The announcement coincides with ongoing federal initiatives aimed at establishing long-term investment accounts for children. Financial institutions and corporate entities have increasingly explored ways to match federal contributions or donate asset shares to minor accounts. While specific timelines for eligibility and registration remain unconfirmed, Musk signaled that the upcoming distribution will serve as the initial phase of broader distribution efforts.
The potential valuation of the proposed giveaway represents a massive financial outlay. With roughly 72 million to 73 million children residing in the country under the age of 18, the stock allocation would total approximately $10.5 billion based on recent trading levels. The move closely followed discussions surrounding alternative corporate philanthropy methods. When artificial intelligence enterprise Anthropic revealed plans to commit equity to a fund serving public interest, Musk publicly advocated for direct share distribution. “I recommend giving the shares directly to the public,” Musk wrote online. “This is what I will be doing”.
Financial analysts note that the proposed contribution represents a tiny fraction of Musk’s personal fortune, which is largely anchored in his holdings across space and automotive technology ventures. Musk currently retains several billion shares in the aerospace firm, giving him substantial voting influence over company governance. While market figures experienced modest upward movement following the post, neither Musk nor corporate representatives have issued formal operational frameworks explaining how the distribution will be financed or executed.
Legal specialists and regulatory experts highlight multiple administrative hurdles that must be cleared to realize the distribution. Transferring equity to millions of underage individuals involves strict compliance with securities regulations, tax obligations, and custodial account requirements. Observers also note questions concerning eligibility requirements, including whether the plan will extend exclusively to citizens or cover all legal residents, as well as potential transfer restrictions on privately held holdings.

]]>Atlanta adds Dalton, 38, to a quarterback group that includes Penix, Tua Tagovailoa and rookie Jack Strand. He joins the Falcons just 10 days after the Philadelphia Eagles released him. A second-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2011, Dalton spent nine seasons with the team and earned three Pro Bowl selections. He has also played for the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, Panthers and Eagles. He spent this past offseason with Philadelphia after arriving in a March trade from the Carolina Panthers, but made only a brief appearance during a Week 3 loss to Chicago, throwing an interception on his lone pass attempt of the season. Across his NFL career, Dalton has recorded nearly 40,000 passing yards and 254 touchdown passes, giving Atlanta a veteran presence with extensive starting experience.
Rush, 32, joined Atlanta during training camp and started the team’s first two games while Penix and Tagovailoa dealt with injuries. He completed 22 of 39 passes for 229 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions in those outings before moving into an emergency third-quarterback role after Penix returned to the lineup.
The Falcons enter the week at 2-4 and are scheduled to host the undefeated 49ers on Sunday. Dalton’s arrival strengthens the team’s depth at a position that has already faced multiple injury-related changes this season.

That fan-backed project includes interviews with several cast members but is unaffiliated with the newly announced HBO Max film.

The new HBO Max production marks the first studio-authorized documentary centered on the show’s legacy.
The documentary will feature interviews with series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, executive producer Daniel Palladino, star Lauren Graham and additional cast and crew members, offering an in-depth look at the making of the WB drama and its lasting cultural impact. The Palladinos are also serving as executive producers. ]]>The driver, identified as a thirty-four-year-old woman from Garden City, Kansas, remained at the scene and was taken into custody. Law enforcement officials noted that she has been cooperative with the ongoing investigation, which is still trying to determine whether the event was accidental or intentional. Two juveniles were passengers inside the vehicle when it entered the field, and authorities mentioned that the driver may have had a child participating in a separate game at the facility.
Among the eleven hospitalized victims, five were children ranging from five to nine years old, while the adult victims were between twenty-eight and sixty-eight years of age. Medical personnel categorized the sustained physical trauma from bruises to severe wounds, though officials noted the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Bystanders and coaches rushed forward to administer immediate medical assistance before emergency units arrived.
Local leaders expressed profound sorrow over the incident, with Wichita Mayor Lily Wu addressing reporters to describe the event as devastating for the entire community. Police Captain Aaron Moses emphasized the severity of the situation, stating, “This is a tragedy”, while Police Chief Joe Sullivan commended bystanders for stepping in to provide critical care. In response to the crash, municipal authorities canceled all subsequent athletic activities at the complex and appealed to the public for any photographic or video evidence.

]]>The blaze ignited around 4:00 p.m. local time within the installation’s active training zone before rapidly consuming surrounding grassland and causing a subsequent explosion. Federal authorities stated there is no indication that terrorism was involved, though an official inquiry into the precise cause remains underway alongside the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Prime Minister Mark Carney characterized the event as “one of the worst tragedies for the forces on Canadian soil in peacetime”.
The rapid spread of the fire triggered a massive emergency response involving military first responders, local municipal crews, and air ambulances dispatched from across the province. Paratroopers from military medical units deployed to local facilities to assist, while regional hospitals worked to absorb the surge of casualties. Nearby healthcare institutions were quickly inundated by the influx of wounded personnel, forcing regional health networks to divert non-emergency patients to prioritize victims transported from the military installation.
Medical personnel describing the scale of the emergency highlighted the extreme strain placed on regional trauma centers. Royal Alexandra Hospital emergency physician Dr. Warren Thirsk noted that “This number of patients would overwhelm the city of Edmonton,” adding, “It is more patients than any of us want to count right now. It’s a disaster. It’s a one in every 15 to 25-year disaster”. Defense Minister David McGuinty traveled to the area to oversee coordination between municipal and federal authorities, calling the situation “active and delicate” as fire crews monitored remaining hot spots.
Senior defense officials and military leaders expressed deep mourning for the personnel lost in the line of duty. Gen. Jennie Carignan, Chief of the Defence Staff, described the incident as “a profoundly difficult moment for the entire Canadian armed forces”. Department of National Defence officials reiterated that their primary focus remains assisting grieving military families and conducting a comprehensive technical investigation into the tragedy.
