]]>There is no doubt that this park is the green jewel of the Horta and Guinardó district. It was designed in 1792 by the Italian engineer Domenico Bagutti, as an initiative of the owner of the estate Joan Desvalls, the Marquis of Llupià and Alfarràs.
This is Barcelona’s oldest garden and a matchless example of artistic gardening, which reached its apogee when the marquis’s descendants extended the grounds under the supervision of the architect Elies Rogent, with the addition of a romantic garden with flower beds, small squares, tall trees and a waterfall. A total of 55 hectares of partially landscaped gardens laid out according to the widespread taste for neo-classical gardens at the time, although the park’s woodland setting gives it that romantic touch. The grounds are full of hidden corners to be discovered, some of them decorated with sculptures of mythological figures.
The park is also the home of the Torre Soberana, a 14th-century country house, which was restored and redecorated in the Arabesque style in the 19th century. The park takes its name from the maze, created from pollarded cypress trees, and is a meeting place where young and old alike, who visit this charming spot at the foot of the Collserola Ridge, can enjoy their leisure time.

]]>This is one of the best known examples of Catalan modernism and an emblematic monument of the city. Unfinished by architect Antoni Gaudi, the Sagrada Família is located in the district of the same name (Eixample district).
The architect has designed a meticulous symbology that makes this building a mystical poem. He has also shown great audacity of formal construction, such as the way of designing the chain-shaped arch structure1 or the combination of naturalistic sculptural treatments and the abstraction of towers. According to data from 2004, the Sagrada Família is the most visited monument in Spain, surpassing the Alhambra in Granada and the Prado Museum in Madrid.

Club activity is incredible and recognized as one of the most vital city. In the afternoon we met a British-style Club, dedicated to pipe smoking, the Tertúlia, culture, gastronomy and leisure activities.
In the Club it operates a Gastronomic Section organizes tastings and dinners, a photographic section, a Cigar-Pure for lovers of cigars, a section of Opera, a section of Tertulias and Cine-Forum, other Football … Workshops are also organized to learn to smoke a pipe, darts and chess or exhibitions of painting and photography. Sherlock Holmes’s friends usually gather here, as well as lawyers, doctors, journalists etc.
All ideas and proposals partner are considered and enhanced to get the support and success they deserve.

]]>Its history began in the year 1968, when the niece of the President of the Autonomous government of Catalonia, Josep Tarradellas, opens a Bar in the number 3 of the street Bellafila, in full Gothic neighborhood.
Two years later, an antiquarian buys the place and reforms it, adding the element that gives name and own personality to the place, a modernist elevator, (with double sliding door), like entry and that was extracted from the delegation of estate of Route Laietana.
When you cross L’Ascensor’s doors, you transport yourself to another time, a place in which his sober decoration breathes an old air, where it predominates over the wood, and complements itself with ancient posters, red draperies and lamps of crystal, which together with the tenuous lighting and a music with a volume adapted to be able to have a conversation, they believe an intimate, hot and cozy atmosphere.
A bar that though it is in full center, behind the Plaza Sant Jaume, remains secret at sight, since the alley is not a place of step. A place that detaches nostalgia for four sides, ideal to take a drink and to support a chat.
The personnel is very nice and the cocktails that we could taste are very good.
We would recommend it’s speciality which is the Gin Tonic, with a lot of varieties.

The decor was made by Joaquin Gallardo, decorator who also made the Cova del Drac, a very symbolic place where regularly jazz performances took place.
Throughout these more than forty years it has been visited by thousands of people from different generations, and always continues to charm and amaze all who visit it.
The originality of this place is also made by the fact that every night of the week, a fortune teller is there for you. Indeed, Monday to Thursday from 20:30 to 1am, for thirty euros and if you understand Catalan or Spanish, Montse will make you enjoy its almost thirty years of experience in the same room. From Friday to Sunday, it was the turn of Georgina who also speaks English and Italian to pull you cards if you wish.
The particularity of this place is that all cocktails are home made and prepared at the moment by expert hands behind the sleek black counter. Mojito, margarita, caipirinha, tequila sunrise, gimlet, among others … you will find what you like and more.
For less than 10 euros, comfortably installed in the pretty velvet seats, sip your cocktail as long as you like!
Magical, magnetic, unique, unusual, exciting, peaceful, quaint, friendly, vibrant, endearing: this is a bar that we like very much ! Everything as the atmosphere, the music, or the cocktails contribute to create a magnetism that gives off a kind of very special vibrations and not indifferent to nobody.
