Holy Week 2026 at Bear Creek UMC

Holy Week is a sacred time in the life of the church as we walk together through the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry and celebrate the joy of the resurrection. The family of Bear Creek United Methodist Church is invited to gather for worship, reflection, and celebration throughout this meaningful week.

The journey begins Palm Sunday, March 29, with a United Worship Service at 10:00am, followed by a Children’s Easter Egg Scramble for our youngest members to enjoy. During the week, we will gather for a Maundy Thursday Service on April 2 at 7:00pm, remembering the Last Supper and Christ’s commandment to love one another, and a Good Friday Tenebrae Service on April 3 at 7:00pm, a powerful service of reflection on Christ’s sacrifice.

Finally, we will celebrate the joy of the resurrection on Easter Sunday, April 5, with Traditional Worship at 9:00am and Contemporary Worship at 11:15am.

We hope you will join us for these meaningful services as we reflect, remember, and rejoice together during this holy season. All are welcome to come and celebrate the hope of Easter with our church family.

Give the Gift of Life – Blood Drive at Bear Creek UMC

One of the simplest ways we can care for our neighbors is by giving the gift of life. Bear Creek United Methodist Church will host a community blood drive on Sunday, March 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the gym, and we invite members of our church family to consider donating.

Blood donations are vital for hospitals and patients facing surgery, illness, and emergencies. Your donation can make a real difference and help save lives in our community.

As a thank you, donors will receive a free Mag-Safe Apple/Android power bank, and each donation also includes a free A1c diabetes screening as an added health benefit.

The season of Advent invites us to slow down, prepare our hearts, and welcome the light of Christ anew. At Bear Creek United Methodist Church, we hope you will join us for a series of joyful and meaningful celebrations as we move toward Christmas together. Our choir will share the beauty of the season through a special Christmas cantata, and our Christmas Eve services will offer both family-friendly moments filled with glowsticks and a traditional candlelight service for quiet reflection. We look forward to gathering as a community, sharing in the warmth of fellowship, and celebrating the hope that Christ brings into the world.

After the One United Worship Service at 10:00am on Sunday, May 18, 2025, you are invited to attend the Lawrence Lehnert Memorial Crawfish Boil Fundraiser! We are serving Crawfish plates (2 pounds per plate) for a donation of $25. Your extra donation can always be given! Your support will help continue the ministries of Bear Creek United Methodist Church.

Don’t want the crawfish? Burgers and hotdogs (with chips!) are also available for $10 per plate! (2 hotdogs per plate). Please CLICK HERE to sign up so we will know how many to expect! We want to be prepared for you!

Desserts will be auctioned off to satisfy your sweet tooth! If you have a special dessert to donate to the auction, please contact Merlys Wilkerson through the church office.
