]]>As the impact of Covid 19 continues around the world I want to provide you with a further BA Business update.
Our focus and no.1 priority continues to be protecting the wellbeing of our employees and their families, followed by maintaining a trading business and shaping the business for the future.
We continue to manufacture products at both our Doncaster and Rotherham facilities and have clear guidelines and social distancing in place on those sites. These sites continue to receive orders and supply; stocked Pronto product in both standard and made to measure sizes, flat pack and rigid cabinets and complete kitchens; all within our standard lead times. We continue to receive orders from customers on MyBA for Cookstown and this will continue.
We are also monitoring closely the advice from the Government in England and the Northern Ireland Assembly on the actions we need to take during this crisis which relate particularly to our 3 manufacturing sites in those Countries.
As a result and following the instructions from the Northern Ireland Assembly during the past 24 hours the message is that the Country remains in lockdown and as such people must stay at home. Therefore, our Cookstown site will remain closed until at least the end of May. We have detailed plans in place which will allow us to recommence operations at Cookstown very quickly once this lockdown is eased, but until that time we need to adhere to the advice given. We will continue to monitor this situation carefully and will notify you of any changes.
In terms of England our understanding is that retailers like yourselves could potentially be allowed to open from early June and as such we will monitor that date closely and coordinate with yourselves. We are also aware of differing restrictions in Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland, all of which we are monitoring closely.
Our customer service teams, Anthony McCabe, Anthony McMorrow and myself are available to take any calls and answer any questions that you might have.
These are unprecedented and challenging times. We thank-you for your patience and hope that you can stay safe and well, we are here to support you in whichever way possible.
Together we will make a difference.
Best regards
Peter Rush

]]>I hope that you, your family and friends are managing to stay safe and well during this period of uncertainty.
At BA we have been focussing on protecting the wellbeing of our employees, maintaining a trading business and getting the business in the right shape for the challenges ahead.
We continue to monitor closely the advice from the Government and Public Health England on the actions we need to take during this crisis. We have been very careful to make sure that we adhere to the recommendations that they have given and will continue to do so in the future.
The announcement by the Government at the end of March relating to the closure of all non-essential businesses saw a reduction in order intake at our Cookstown site and that has remained the same even though we have continued to receive orders and will continue to do so through MyBA.
We are still taking orders and manufacturing product at our Doncaster and Rotherham facilities. In maintaining this service, we are ensuring that social distancing is in place on these sites and that every precaution is being taken to keep our employees safe. These sites continue to receive orders and supply stocked Pronto product both standard and made to measure sizes, flat pack and rigid cabinets and kitchens all within our standard lead times.
We continue to offer digital marketing support on an individual customer basis. Full details are on the ‘Customer Support’ tab on MyBA, if you want to make use of this.
Finally, we will be communicating with all customers in the next few days to see who is able to accept deliveries of product already ordered.
To summarise:
Our customer service teams, Anthony McCabe, Anthony McMorrow and myself are available to take any calls and answer any questions that you might have.
Stay safe and well, we are here to support you in whichever way possible. Together we will make a difference.
Best regards
Peter Rush

]]>The post BA announce new brand ambassador in Patrick Bradley appeared first on BA.
]]>The firm, which is celebrating 30 years in UK manufacturing, launched the new kitchen and bedroom brand at the end of 2019 to promote their full bedroom and full kitchen offer available throughout their extensive dealer network.
The multi-award-winning architect is most famous for his Grillagh Water House, described by Kevin McCloud of Channel 4’s Grand Designs programme, as his favourite Grand Design in all of the 20 years the series has aired, earning him the accolade of Kevin McCloud’s Grandest Design in 2019.

Brian (left) and Kieran McCracken welcome architect Patrick Bradley (centre) as the new ambassador of BA’s Blossom Avenue brand.
Patrick, who lives close to the BA Cookstown facility, says he relates to the local business which continues to innovate and put quality and design first; “Construction businesses are under ever more intense pressure to deliver sustainability, quality design and durability particularly in the housing sector.
“I believe BA and their new brand Blossom Avenue is of the kind of quality which immediately reassures builders as well as buyers. I am impressed by the finishes and material choices and the manufacturing standards are among the highest I have seen.”
The well-known and popular architect who works on high end residential, housing, office and leisure projects across Great Britain and Ireland will feature prominently during product launches, retailer events, trade shows and in marketing collateral.

The Northern Ireland firm established in 1990 and which now has three significant sites in Cookstown, Co Tyrone, Doncaster and Rotherham in Yorkshire, has launched the brand to strengthen their retail partners’ offering, providing one of the largest collections of contemporary, classic and traditional kitchens and bedrooms in the marketplace today.
Nuala Brady, head of marketing at BA, says the partnership with Patrick Bradley is strategically significant; “This is a tight field in which top brands have worked hard to achieve profile and market position. Patrick Bradley brings successful business, a unique sense for design and its application to the Blossom Avenue brand, for which BA is pursuing a strategy to embed it firmly and quickly among the independent retail sector as well as through consumer channels as much as possible.”

The firm, which is celebrating 30 years in UK manufacturing, launched the new kitchen and bedroom brand at the end of 2019 to promote their full bedroom and full kitchen offer available throughout their extensive dealer network.
“Our network of retailers will want to see this and with the added power which Patrick brings to our message, we look forward to the Blossom Avenue brand experiencing its predicted growth throughout 2020.”
Patrick will be at KBB Birmingham in March to launch the latest Blossom Avenue designs to the hundreds of retailers in attendance, as well as celebrating 30 years of BA’s successful business throughout the UK. On the BA stand (O90, Hall 17), visitors can be some of the first to see the brand’s new product, meet with the sales team, experience the new product development area as well as the complete bedrooms range.

]]>Our very own Product Manager, Graham Carse, shares his thoughts on the emerging trends coming in 2020.

Jayline Supergloss Dust Grey & Supermatt Cashmere
Door Styles
When it comes to door styles J-Pull style doors continue to be the No.1 bestseller in the market place with lacquered versions starting to decline in sales, in favour of wrapped style J-Pulls. True Handleless kitchens have seen massive growth over the last couple of years, and are now firmly established as part of the mass-market. Shaker style doors are starting to grow in popularity as a handleless option, giving a classical slant on what was initially a very clean, contemporary look.

Thornbury Graphite & Earl Grey
Colour
Matt Black has been a huge trend in accessories recently, everything from handles to taps to shelving systems and for 2020 this will come through in full kitchen doors, as seen in the German market recently. New iterations of Black Ash are also coming through strongly as a design statement, with high definition surface textures and deep embossed woodgrain effects creating a fresh update on an 80`s staple.
Grey is still massively popular, and becoming darker, from Dust Greys through to Graphite tones. Now, this trend is spawning a whole palette of grey-toned colours that mix superbly, with some as strong trend colours in their own right; deep shades of Plum, Dark Green, and Navy Blue all blend harmoniously onto a grey backdrop. Dark grey is also becoming dominant in fittings & components. Drawer systems, hinges, pull out systems, bins and corner storage have now established themselves as the internal finish of choice, with grey cabinets also becoming popular.
Taupe is also coming through as a colour of note, in particular, the darker finishes, mixed with greys & charcoals.
