The basic element in this journey is Consistency, being consistent can make us a game changer of our lives. For example, we all go through something that is barely acceptable for us and we lose all our hopes and are easily demotivated. But to remain consistent in that situation is to move on by forgiving yourself, by not keep on thinking on that specific thing. But this does not mean just to forget it, but to come up with more energy to cope up with that and to find ways to make it up in a better way. Stay focused that what you lack and what you need to change with positive behavior in the future.

Consistency absolutely does not mean to focus on your actions only. There is direct relation between your thoughts, your words and your actions. Your words must align with your thoughts and your actions should depict according to your words.  This will not only benefit you but also your position in the society. People will start trusting you, your word of mouth and your actions.

There are a number of advantages that carrying on in a consistent way will offer. Patterns are essential to raise your certainty, seeing as when you make a pledge to something and finish, you figure out how to confide in your aims. Your status or reputation will likewise profit by consistency since when your practices mirror your words and guarantees, individuals will confide in what they can expect from you. There is an idiom, “your reputation goes before you.” If you are known to finish, individuals will value that and recall you for it.

In addition, our journey towards achieving our dream can never be easy, there will be many complications and setbacks. Whenever we pursue a goal that is worth achieving, it will be hard. We fall down many times, and every time we have to ask ourselves: “Is this really for me?” There will be many detours, each of them trying to break us. How do we respond to them will determine our success or failure in life?

Moreover, we all confront failure in our life either it is a business failure, relationship failure or failure of achieving goals. It is not always a bad thing to fail even it can never be a bad thing. In fact, most of the people who fail in life will tell you that failure pushed them on to bigger and better things. All these lines look dramatic to you but believe me I have also experienced failure in my life not once but twice and this inspired me, strengthened me and gave me a magical power to work hard and tackle all the difficulties on the way towards achieving my goal of life.

There is only difference of one thing between the people who fail and who get success and that is an opportunity. People who fail, they just give up on their dreams and do not give themselves another opportunity to try. On the other side, people who do not give up and give a second chance to themselves become successful.

Along with it, most people believe that failure is the opposite of success, or it is an obstacle on the way towards success. However, the truth is totally different it is actually a necessary part of triumph. It should be embraced instead of avoiding it. We can transform our failure into learning to supercharge success.

Additionally, failure is the most essential aspect of personal growth and progress. It empowers, motivates and encourages us to become stronger. Accepting our failure opens new opportunities for us. One can be better in its field of work by understanding and accepting its mistakes.

Furthermore, we should analyze our failure. We should ask ourselves why we failed. Why did we fail to achieve our aim? Was it lack of hard work? Was it lack of efforts that we made? How we can be better at it? And questions like how can we make our weaknesses our strength? The only way to learn from failure is to understand it, to investigate it and to accept it. By investigating what went wrong, will minimize the chances of making the same mistakes again. We should find solutions for our mistakes and make our faults our strength by working on them.

Achieving something is not an easy task. It takes a lot of courage, struggle and hard work. That’s what makes success great. If we want to chase our dream no matter how hard it is, no matter how many times we fail. We have to stand up, we have to try, and we have to give our best until we achieve our goal. This is the true spirit of people who believe in their dreams.

To sum in a nutshell, we have to stay focused on our dream and have to believe in ourselves and in our dreams no matter how many times we fail, we have to stand up and have to work on our weaknesses. We have to work harder than before. Truly successful people are those who fight with difficulties, who face challenges and work day and night to chase their dreams. We should never give up and learn from our failure to make our dreams come true.

The constitution of Pakistan necessitates free quality education from the ages 5 to 18 and according to the article 25-A, the state is required by law to facilitate the students of suitable age to their respective educational requirements. However, Pakistan witnesses a monopolistic structure and free education is proximate to a myth in the country. The country faces a split of numerous boards to cater educational services to the students and the private vs governmental schools is now not the only division faced by students of a growing nation. The government schools are subconsciously deemed as schools for the underprivileged and the perception has ingrained a level of inferiority both in the students and the teachers of the schools. The infrastructure falters accordingly as the educational institutions cast an image of an architectural site with weary walls and an eerie vibe. The private schools have transitioned into a ‘luxury show’ instead of an educational realm where schools continue to push the high society picture into blooming minds to either turn them pretentious or simply put them in a superiority complex. Not only that but even the board differential and practices seem no longer interested in supporting educational reforms instead continue to push their own brand, each trying to hone their share in the student split of the country.

The nose-diving educational standard of Pakistan varies over regional and gender disposition of the country’s demographic. The urban areas of the country witness literacy rates of over 80% while rages as low as 15% in semi-urban and rural areas. Pakistan stands as second largest in terms of population of school-aged children yet the literacy level projects dismay. Gender discrimination is another facet to the educational disparity as only 18% of Pakistani women receive substantial education while the enrolment rates are much worse. Even the minority of the female students have staggering attendance records and even the consistent students hardly make it to graduate level. A prime example is the shortage of female doctors largely due to the demanding nature of the jobs and the lack of relevant educational policies in the sector.

The educational system is now nudged by the private coaching institutes, providing winning scheme instead of knowledge and worldly skills to succeed. The continuing dependence on such institutions is not a minor concern as more than 90% of the students enrolled in private schooling institutions thrive on the notes and lectures provided that should’ve been only a periphery to the entire educational structure. This sad reality is another reason of the declining enrolment and uneven performance of governmental schools as such hierarchical display of trade of education in terms of admissions, jobs and standard of living it stands obvious that those students won’t climb higher in such a system. What perplexes a rational mind, however, is that the educational reforms are nowhere to cut such namely facilitators but instead the institutions have started to form a collusion to divide the students amongst themselves to make an even profit whilst putting the future students in the dark.

Only 6% of the county’s population actually target to the post graduate educational levels and the irony to the situation is that the graduates of such tough educational conditions and structure are molded in the same mindset and instead of correcting the system, 95% of the educated personnel leave the country for good. In such a vicious cycle of education being traded as a privilege rather than provided as a right, are they really the ones to blame?

The madrasa began more than a thousand years ago in the rich cultural centers of civilization such as Baghdad, Fez and Morocco (Madrassah Education: What Creative Associates has learned, 2008). It has similar arrangement such as Aristotle Peripatetic School of 335 B.C. and is based on similar principles of Jewish Beth Midrash and Yeshiva schools, it is important to note the etymology of words Beth midrash and madrassa.

Madrassa is credited with educating the top Muslim scientists, scholars, philosophers, mathematicians, chemists, theologists, physicians and astronomers in the medieval times. It has produced scholars and scientists such as Abu Nasr Al-Farabi, Al-Battani, Ibn Sina(Avicenna), Ibn Battuta, Ibn Rushd, Al-Khwarizmi, Omar Khayyam, Thabit ibn Qurra, Abu Bakr Al-Razi, Jabir Ibn Haiyan, Ibn Ishaq Al-Kindi,  Ibn Al-Haytham, Ibn Zuhr, Ibn Khaldun, Ibn Al-Baitar

These medieval madrassas taught grammar, poetry, philosophy, medicine, mathematics and astronomy (Farooq, ‘Objectification’ of Islam: A Study of Pakistani Madrassah Texts, 2010). This system of education expanded to the subcontinent by the Muslims. During the 18th to 19th centuries, Mullah Nizamuddin of Farangi introduced a standardized method in the subcontinent, the Dars-i-Nizami.

Madrassas in Pakistan are a private system of education to those who are unable to attend public or private schools because of distance and/or the unviability of educational facilities. Madrassas are funded through government grants, donations from the local communities, student fees, local government grants, fees and payments from religious occasions. Even though madrassas do receive funding, it is irregular in nature. Unless offered as private education, madrassas in Pakistan are regarded as NGOs. Some madrassas offer religious instruction, boarding and lodging. Instruction is liberal to conservative dependent on location and socio-cultural environment. Instruction can vary from personal knowledge to a more structured approach that includes curricula and a syllabus. Madrassas are more receptive in rural areas because they acclimate to the socio-cultural environment and hence satisfy the needs of tribal communities. Madrassas are synonymous with rural education as the availability of private or public school in the rural areas is scarce.

The quintessential component of reforming education in Pakistan is by utilizing these madrassas that serve millions of school age children. Madrassa education is the only way of education for millions of poor children of the country and continuous damaging words against this system will do no good. Yes, there are some defects in the system but these can definitely be removed with constant effort. There are madrassas in areas that are unreachable by Islamabad and it is these areas where education is needed the most. The curriculum of madrassas can be modernized through the simple introduction of a balanced curriculum and including the teaching of English Language which is also one of the official languages of Pakistan.

Pakistan government met with severe opposition while introducing Pakistan Madrasa Education Board Ordinance of 2001. The implementations of such reforms have taken a backstage in recent years but these Madrassas reforms are needed and can be achieved by census among the Ulemas and policy makers. There are three major aspects of the madrasah reforms; firstly teaching of English language, secondly curriculum update and thirdly teachers; we will discuss each of these here:

Often times it is considered in Pakistan that teaching English language means westernization however we think that teaching English language does not mean to follow Western idealism but rather be in line with the information presented, consider the following facts

• 359 million of the world population speak English as their first language and approximately 1 billion of the world population speaks it as the second language hence keeping pupils from such an important language actually restricts them from communicating with the rest of the world and be competitive and understand other point of view
• Importance of Internet cannot be more emphasized as it is the digital gateway to information and a new avenue to trade and commerce and since approximately 55% of the most visited websites have content in English hence it is imperative to learn this language.

Observe how the madrassas in West Bengal introduced the English language and how it influenced the introduction of sciences and mathematics. It is clear that these madrassas have graduated students who are successful and knowledgeable and will someday be the doctors and engineers for their communities.

Besides using English as the medium of instruction it is important that the curriculum be improved and upgraded to include Comparative Studies. Comparative Studies introduces logical thinking. This logical thinking can be applied towards Islamic research oriented studies as well as sciences and mathematics. The introduction of Comparative Studies helps to illustrate the true image of Islam as a peaceful, tolerant and compassionate religion.

The teaching of Islam exemplifies interfaith harmony, compassion and tolerance towards other religions and minorities. Madrassa curriculum that will favor these ideals will encourages students to be tolerant towards those not of their community or sect. It is important to note that being tolerant is defined as the act of forbearance with one who is not like you, not shunning or adopting their cultural behavior. If madrassas teach religious tolerance they will have students who are less apt to be a part of violent acts, acting out in society or in the class.

The madrassa school teachers are not well trained or well versed in physical subjects hence in order for these high qualities to be exemplified through madrassa curriculum, as outlined in preceding paragraphs, only certified madrassa teachers who hold a degree in B.Ed. from an academic institution can be allowed to teach in madrassas. As the state of Pakistan improves and increases madrassa teacher institutions, madrassas will grow prosperous in the number of graduates and become the epitome of fine academics.

Here are some direct suggestions for curriculum update:

1. It should include Comparative Studies (at least all main religions) to build logical thinking among students so that they can invest their time in Islamic research oriented activities and be able to present true image of Islam anywhere in the world.
2. There should be a dedicated chapter for interfaith harmony, compassion and tolerance towards other religions/minorities.
3. Religious sectarian divides should be discouraged right from the beginning of a student’s education. This is the need of hour.
4. Madrassa teachers qualification needs to be enhanced in conjunction with modern requirements.
5. Curriculum should be standardized across the board and reviewed constantly by government.
6. The vast majority of madrassas fall outside government control, so those should be regulated without any delay.

Madrassa reforms are of utmost importance for the betterment of the Pakistani society and crucial for creating religious tolerance as well as improving the overall academic prospects for every student in Pakistan. A nationally regulated madrassa reform will increase graduates from madrassas who will be more likely to participate in the economic prosperity of Pakistan.

Madrassa education is the only form of education for millions of poor children of the country. Through a concerted and consistent effort, a balanced madrassa education will promote a positive and productive academic environment for these neglected Pakistani children. They are the future scientists, engineers and mathematicians of Pakistan and the need to protect them as the national treasure is of vital importance more than ever. It is through them that Pakistan will grow in prosperity.

And while passing the road, I not really came across an out of the blue thing but it felt really outlandish to witness such a thing. At the kamahan metro station, I actually noticed how haphazardly four flex’ were being hung by the side of metal rods of metro bus station. And before awaking a wave of anger inside me I roared with laughter. Well I would break the ice and brief what I saw, or perhaps should I keep blabbering and reveal it at the end.

I witnessed three layers of beautiful flex’. The first layer of flex was of “STEPS”, second layer of “STAR INSTITUTE”, the third layer of “KIPS” and last layer “STARS ACADEMY”. I hope you all to understand it’s not an act to demure any of them. But I’m just trying to bring to light the major business and mean of earning in our society. A kid who has just given the F.Sc exams is like a fish in the pond and literally all the institutes are the nets and their bait is MDCAT and ECAT. That hungry naïve fish plunge unto the first parasite been offered to it.

The irony is that fish had been under the yoke of this parasite bait from the time of matriculation this fair pond is last stage. The last move I believe these institutes have is mdcat and ecat.  These institutes plaster there posters unto the minds of the students, and I believe they consider these students just as a source of income.

I would just quote the incident of a small academy while I was in 10^th standard. This local academy in that year started mdcat and ecat classes. What I can claim without any evidence that they earned a lot and what they basically did was to get their hands unto the test paper of one of the famous institute of MDCAT and ECAT, and plagiarize their content. If you’re looking for ways to earn money in summer season this trick could make you earn a lot I guarantee. Just buy a few notes from these leading institutes and use them as your own.

Summer is the fishing season of students. Before the fishing season there is constant seminar conduction. And I’m obliged to write here that during that seminar the fishing experts revolve your entire life in flashes in front you. While sitting there all you can think is that “how can someone know so much about me? Or “It’s so me”. You are paralyzed in those very moments believe me. You are left on an open road in that seminar and you’re alone on that open road. You’re left stranded to choose which path to choose. Let me share my own experience when I was in one of those before even the seminar ended I had my decision that I’m going to this very institute. And I wasn’t alone thousands of students sitting there thought the same. What’s the biggest move to trap the fish these seminars.

They take you to a medical college auditorium if you’re to take MDCAT and to an engineering university auditorium if you’re to take ECAT. I know it might not sound cliché or anything perhaps it might sound motivational but as a fish (student) it just shoot up the locked down emotions, its motivational I admit but just a part of the trap. These fishers use these locked up emotions to catch us. In this seminar these institutes make you believe you haven’t done anything in your 12 years of education and what you’re lacking can only be gained by joining them. A lot of comparison with other institutes and while being on that open road the fish can only now see the institute whose seminar he is attending. Just like a thirsty goat in the desert the student leap unto the institute. All they can see now is that institute. Little do they know is that the air castles they build are just about to crash. These very institutes take as much fish as their nets can grab. Now you must be wondering what will happen to the fish?

Well that little fish is now trapped in the net, fish can’t escape. Fish had paid thousands just to be in that net how can it just escape the net now? During the 3 months the fish goes through quite a lot of stages above all of them is enduring the summers. In a small net filled to the brim with just fish. What’s even more exciting about being in this net that whatever test or thing you’re attempting there is no result of that test. Fish is now responsible for everything. All fish can do is self evaluation and self blaming too. Why blaming? Cause most of the times fish is left with a question “why didn’t I choose any other institute?”

A move was played by these fishers last year which even resulted in re-conduction of MDCAT. The MDCAT paper of 2017 was leaked by one of these many famous institutes. It was claimed that some students already had the physics portion of the paper. The UHS accused the students of fabricating this whole story. Their stance was that the students jotted down the questions from the question paper on their hardboards and uploaded it on social media afterwards as a monopoly against the UHS. Little did we all knew we believed UHS. The MDCAT 2017 was conducted at 20, august 2017 and after the government took a notice of the paper being leaked the result of MDCAT 2017 was postponed till the investigation was being completed.

I could just say that a wrestling happened between UHS and the academies. I remember the court announced to ban the academies which offer preparation of MDCAT which wasn’t officially implemented as around 9 October the official news that MDCAT will be re-conducted was announced. And by 10 October the fishers came out with new nets. Fish gotta pay again to be in the net. Well I call fish dumb now as it’s reluctance on suffocating again and again no matter what happens.  What I wonder today is how can government let these fish hunters out when they themselves put a ban to them. Well this move clearly increased the income of these institutes. First they were all against these institutes that they sell papers for money and they all cant conduct MDCAT classes and I still remember by 10,October 2017 all fishers were back with MDCAT re-conduct preparation classes. The MDCAT is conducted in every region of world but I don’t see world full of MDCAT preparatory classes.

The government claims that these entry tests are mandatory to ensure no rigging and cheating happens. I just have one question that the board examinations are held under the same government why not ensure this justice there? And the last year incident really made it clear that government’s stance of no cheating and leaking paper doesn’t apply here anymore. If intermediate is underestimated this much then why don’t just halt intermediate for once and all cause cheating and hoaxer free intermediate board exams is just a dream. In my opinion test like mdcat and ecat should be conducted after matriculation where students can explore and determine what really excites and interests them.

Truth to be told these all institutes are the same. I am stating it again that I have nothing against any of these institutes but what they are doing is just using it as business. Its funny how in intermediate these institutes focus on gaining marks more than they focus on building concepts and in the entry test classes which hardly last 2 months they are determined to build concepts. All you will hear in these classes is that without concepts you can’t make it. The dream of the fish is just bait against the fish. What that fish score in MDCAT or ECAT doesn’t depend on what institute fish goes to, it depends on the times fish had revised syllabus. Even If you take a walk down the roads of chungi this very moment. The both sides of roads are heaped with academies. And obviously banner of MDCAT & ECAT stands out above everything. One of the very nifty acts by the syllabus setters is the physics for MDCAT students and chemistry portion for ECAT. It’s like they are determined to torture the students. This stage acts like a grind mill for a student.

If your one of the fish I can’t say anything but this “the test only comes from the prescribed syllabus” and that prescribed syllabus is from the very PTB books you studied last two years. What strikes my mind is why don’t the institutes which conduct these tests start giving MDCAT and ECAT classes? I am not against the conduction of these tests cause I believe you need to prove yourself to be worthy of that title and if earning that title means passing through this test then why not? But these tests are benefiting these institutes in earning millions to be honest.
