I have seen that “good ‘ol boy” system in action, and ya’ll are in my prayers. God does eventually catch up to these good ‘ol boys, and sometimes, if you are lucky, God will let you watch. I got to watch as the arrogance, ignorance, and unaccountability unfolded publicly. Not everything was addressed, but improvement in our integrity began immediately and integrity and accountability continue to improve. It is a slow, step by step process.

Total abuse of office and resources for the sole purpose of intimidation. Boothe and Kowalski essentially fabricated criminal activity against the Plaintiff where there was none and intentionally deceived a judge to give the appearance of legitimacy and propriety. I’m surprised they didn’t plant drugs to try and validate the search, seizure, and arrest. The termination of Mrs Johnson was without cause and no proof ever provided ultimately leading to defamation of character jeopardizing her professional credibility. All of this activity is blatant abuse of office and pure manipulation and intentional intimidation by the Defendants.

This post is worded very well! I am amazed at your ability to remain even remotely objective in this situation. You were terribly wronged. That fact is very clearly laid out in the legal document. I have no doubt that this injustice to you will eventually be rectified. I am truly sorry that you guys had to go through this alone. I applaud your efforts in protecting your family and in seeking to right the wrongs that plague so many of our government institutions. I am a firm believer that absolute power corrupts absolutely. I am not saying that the defendants in this case held absolute power, but it certainly seems they acted as though they did. You have my respect, admiration and unending support.

In the toc.ncx file each TOC entry looked like this:

If I removed the anchor tag (#toc_marker-6), repackage everything, then upload it, everything works.

I added the ‘ to each line to ensure the code showed up.

Janet, I’m just seeing this, so I hope you figured it out. But an .epub file IS a .zip file. So you would just change the extension from .epub to .zip, and then vice versa.
Start with book.epub.
Change extension: book.zip.
Unzip book.zip.
Make edits.
Select all files, zip (compress) it back up, name it book.zip.
Change extension: book.epub.
