We had a fantastic Open House this past Saturday (3/2) thanks to everyone who came out to showcase their bikes and autos along with the awesome airboat and airplane! It was a great turnout!! Thank you to all of you that helped us getting ready and during the Open House!! We could not have done it without your help and the participation of our loyal customers.

Open House & The After Party Event

On Saturday, March 2nd we will be hosting our “Pre-Bike Week” Open House at Chris Cruz Artistry 11am-3pm.

A fun day of Food & Drinks, Door Prize give-aways, Ride in Bike display, Airbrush and Pinstripe demo’s, Big-Toy Art display… a fun day for all!!

After the Open House, we will be having an “After Party” along with the “Deland Rock & Metal Festival” at

OB’s Restaurant & Lounge, 1750 N. Woodland Blvd., Deland, FL 32724 (just around the corner from our shop)

VIP Tickets for the After Party are $30 and can be purchase ahead (just call or email us) or purchase during our

Open House.

VIP Tickets include: Early access to the Festival which begins at 12noon and last til 2am. There will be OB drink special just for the VIP ticket holders, Access to The Chris Cruz Artistry Bike Exhibit, Raffle ticket for the Custom Painted Art Plaque by Chris that commemorates this 2013 Event (value $600), A Big Toy Art display.

From the ole’ hometown

Customer, Jimmy Dettor, from my ole’ hometown of Buckingham, Virginia, drove down to DeLand to have me customize his new Chevy 3500 wrecker truck. I first did some of Jimmy’s trucks back in the early 80’s when he had his wrecker business in Charlottesville, VA. Now retired, he and his wife, Peggy, decided to come pay me a visit for some graphics & pinstriping on their new toy. It’s great to have long time customers! Thanks Jimmy & Peggy!

Ride to the Ranch

This was our first time participating in the “Ride to the Ranch” fundraiser benefit for the Duvall Home. The day was just gorgeous! They hosted a good turn out with adding the first time poker run to their annual event. Everyone enjoyed the live music entertainment as well as some great bbq. We will post when next years Ride is ready to happen. Be sure to spread the word to help make this wonderful fundraiser event a yearly ‘must do’. Thanks to everyone who helped support The Duvall Home!

Flagler Corvette Show at Flagler Pier

We will be at the square in front of the pier all day showing some awesome Vettes that Chris painted along with many other beautiful corvettes all along the the downtown flagler streets. Starting on this GiNormas gate project for local business, Ideal Aluminum. We will be painting a special gold metallic paint on all the accent pieces and lettering. It’s going to look amazing when finished and at the entry of the Ideal Aluminum’s customers home or business.

We hosted the Central Florida Corvette Association for their “Drive-Out” rally to our shop today. What an awesome club! We really enjoyed meeting the new members as well as some of the club’s sponsors and visiting with our veteran friends in the club. Everyone enjoyed cold refreshments and snacks, looking at photo books of CCA’s works, and seeing the great projects that we have currently going on in the shop . The club got to watch Chris do a custom pin-striping and lettering on an art panel he airbrushed of a cool looking corvette. This was one of the door prizes we included in our gifts give-away. Guess who forgot to take a picture of it when Chris finished painting it , yep that would be me! I will have club member, Bob Gray, who was the lucky winner, to forward a picture so I can post asap. Other winners included Becky Winn, and MaryAnn Boland. Congrats again to the three of you.
