Death's Sigil is a prominent sign of Oblivion's touch on a character that manifests no matter where she goes. Each Sigil is unique; one wraith might have wings of choking smoke, another might leave footprints of sea water in the Skinlands, and a third could exude the odor of a charnel house. This Thorn naturally makes a wraith very distinctive, with all of the advantages and disadvantages this offers. Only by spending a Willpower Point can a wraith turn off the effects of this Thorn for a scene.

The Devil's Dare is the emotional equivalent of a game of 'chicken'. To use this Thorn, the Shadowguide invest a number of temporary Angst points (marked off immediately) and declares something that she dares the Psyche to do before the end of the day. The difficulty of the dare determines the cost. The dare itself consists of an action that the Shadow is daring the Psyche to take. It must be within the wraith's capabilities to perform. If, by the end of the day, the Psyche has not worked the dare into her actions, she loses a number of temporary Willpower points equal to the Angst points invested.

By spending 4 temporary Angst, the Shadow can materialize as a separate entity. While in this state, the Shadow can converse, affect objects, and use Thorns. The manifested Shadow is in all ways physically identical to the wraith and bystanders may have a great deal of difficulty telling the two apart. Even the auras of the two Corpora are the same. A manifestation lasts for a single scene, and after manifesting, the Shadow must rest for no fewer than 10 minutes. A wraith can tell the difference between another wraith and a manifested Shadow by rolling Perception+Awareness (difficulty 8).

This Thorn alters a wraith's appearance, briefly. Whenevr the wraith looks into a reflective surface, the Shadow has the option of activating Mirror Mirror. When used, the wraith's appearance in the reflective surface is horribly distorted in some way, usually in accordance with one of the Shadow's Dark Passions. The distorted visage in the reflection is visible to all. System: There is no cost to activate this Thorn, but as repeated use dims its effectiveness, wise Shadows save it for appropriate moments.
