Here we go with another season of hard tackles, broken bones and dreams, dramatic physical skirmishes and charged-up lunatics taking sides. And I’m just talking about our politics – NO, WAIT! Football! Football!! As a matter of fact, thank God it’s football season, so we can take our minds off that other rubbish for a few wonderful hours and enjoy ourselves again. Hurry up and kick the ball already! Here we go 2026.

Patriots at Seahawks – If you want a dramatic opener, take the Super Bowl matchup and rerun it, right Roger? Speaking of His Annoyingness Goodell, he secured four more years of being an overpaid empty blazer by selling that claque of inflated egos (owners) on his ability to print money from television, while the fans get stiffed with pay-per-view and other streaming ripoffs. Sorry, back to the game. The Seahawks stonewalled New England in the championship game last year, so what will be different this time? In the Pats’ favor, it looks like both starting safeties for the Squawks will be out, leaving practice squad fill-ins at two important slots. Not great. They also lost their primary rock-toter to free agency, so we’ll see what that remodeled ground game looks like. For the Flying Elvises, RB Henderson is likely out and most importantly, so is C Ben Brown. I don’t like the fact that either a 1st or 2nd-year sub is going to be filling in against the nastiest defensive line since the Steel Curtain at the most crucial linemen’s position. I like Seattle to pick up where they left off, polishing their Lombardi Trophy with Patriot jerseys in this one. Hawks soar when the Muskets don’t roar.

49ers at Rams – This game is already stuffed with acrimony. Strong division rivals, chippy innovative young head coaches, and a damn long plane ride to friggin’ Australia are all aspects of this battle. I’ll keep it simple, though. Defense wins football games, and the Rams have two of the all-time great quarterback eaters across the line from Brock Purdy or Mac Jones. Aaron Donald has returned like Michael Myers to haunt the sleep of frightened young QBs leaguewide again, while the Rams added Myles Garrett to complete the Nightmare On Elm Street. Hollywood loves a good horror flick, and this game has all the makings for Shanahan having to play Kurtis Rourke (who?) after hammer meets anvil with Jones and Purdy in the middle. Scrams served powdered quarterback to their Aussie hosts in the Thunder from Down Under.

Bears at Panthers – Two young slingers are going to go at it as these rapidly rebuilding franchises make strides towards greater legitimacy. Both defenses are ranked, with an edge to Da Bears. Brice isn’t as Young as he leaves behind rookie QB mistakes, and he has nice targets in McMillan and Legette, who can Leg-it for nice Yards After Catch. Caleb Williams appears to finally be the guy for Chicago, after a string of disappointments under center. I’ll take the Windy Bruins to maul the Black Cats in good Charlotte.

Buccaneers at Bengals – When a team chooses to carry FOUR quarterbacks instead of opening a slot for another position, you know they worry about the health of their starter. Cincy is a good team, but they could sure use a spare lineman or d-back where that fourth QB is slotted, imo. Joe Burrow is great, and fragile. I get it. But four QBs is a statement not to be ignored by other teams. Says something about that O-line, where they probably should have used that 4th qb slot. Anyway, what will Tampa be this year? The quixotic Pirates of the Panhandle just signed Mayfield to big booty after feigning indifference to him for the last 6 months. Will this be another Desean Watson debacle, or grist in Baker’s motivation mill? Cincy is the better team on paper, but they are also notorious for losing games they should win. Flip of the gold doubloon on this one. Pirates get marooned in Ohio.

Saints at Lions – Okay, obvious joke here. And Christians vs Lions here should turn out the way it did historically. Problem is these Lions are…indecisive? They should have run away with their division last year, instead inexplicably finishing last and out of the playoffs. I love Dan Campbell, but if he can’t get this talented team to win games, he’s just another guy. It’s GO time or go back to being the stuffed Lions in the basement where they have been for decades, as their window is closing rapidly. Legendary talents like Megatron and Barry Sanders were wasted on this feckless franchise, shamefully. N’Awlins is a fun team with real offensive punch, but haven’t really put it all together yet. I’m not convinced that Rattler won’t get rattled, and deliver strikes to Detroit’s ball hawks. You have to admit this game has some of the best names, as we’ll find out if Kool-Aid McKinstry can quench the thirst of Detroit’s receivers and just how highly-polished Mahogany really is. Consumed Christians are the Mane attraction at this coliseum on Sunday.

Bills at Texans – First game means nothing, unless you are trying to make a statement about the kind of season you hope to have. Houston needs to get to the next level, young, hungry and talented. Buffalo needs to get to the Super Bowl, always a bridesmaid. The Bills carry a #4 overall ranking by the NFL staff, so expectations are still pretty high. I felt McDermott was holding them back, and now it’s on them to go the distance. Losing the opener is the wrong statement. If they get good pressure on CJ Stroud, he will make mistakes they can exploit. Cook gives them a reliable ground game and ball control, which should make the difference in this Western-themed matchup. Bills round up a win in Houston.

Ravens at Colts – A healthy Baltimore is a force of nature. This team is stocked with solid talent on both sides of the ball. Indy managed the Choke of the Century by blowing an 8-2 record in 2025 and finishing 8-9, like watching Mr. Magoo at the Indy 500. Steichen needs to ensure that this never happens again, but just how good are these Colts? Not good enough to beat the Ravens is my take. New Baltimore thumps Old Baltimore.

Browns at Jaguars – Finally an easy one. Cleveland is the dumpster fire that never goes out. Garrett is gone, Watson is the most expensive bust in NFL history and they cannot afford to dump his useless butt, and their prospects for this year are….brown. I loved Draft Day, a really fun, inciteful movie. That was the best Cleveland has EVER looked, and it wasn’t even real! Jacksonville is a legit deep playoff threat, and at home. Orange is the new black-and-blue. Jags bag and tag the sags from Lake Erie.

Falcons at Steelers – Prediction time: Aaron Rodgers retires DURING the season, after getting banged up at some point. Not how I want to see him go out, but he’s going out this year. He has cheated Father Time too long, or at least had a dysfunctional relationship with him, like with the rest of his family. Pittsburgh is one of those teams you can never drive a stake into, because they just keep surprising. But when they go to their backup QB after Game 5, it’s going to mean the end of 2026. The Falcons aren’t ready for prime time although getting there, but road wins in Pittsburgh are hard to come by. Black n Gold hold the fold against Arthur Blank’s rebuilding raptors.

Jets at Titans – Welcome to the Stinker of the Week. I had two tickets to this game and left them on the front seat of my car. Somebody broke into my car….and left two more! I’m going J-E-T-S because Geno Smith & Breece Hall. That’s it. I’d rather mow the lawn.

Cardinals at Chargers – This should be called Saint Louis at San Diego, battle of the displaced franchises. Jacoby Brissett leads the Red birds under center, and I like his spirit and try-hard (he earns his starts) but still feel he’s a (good) placeholder. I just can’t shake it. The Cards have been reshuffled after Murray’s departure, and don’t hold a winning hand yet. The Bolts finished 11-6 last year and in the playoffs, and will probably fare about as well this year. No reason to think Arizona is going to come into LA and rip a win from Justin Herbert. Cards fold due to weak hand in LaLa Land.

Dolphins at Raiders – I was wrong about the Jets/Titans; this one stinks just as bad. The Raiders are a spectacle like Mark Davis’ haircut – you can’t not stare. Miami is no better, looking like the aftermath of a fire sale, with a roster of singed merchandise and a shiny new head coach who will soon be dented and scratched like Aunt Mildred’s 1965 Rambler Ambassador. This game has flies on it. I’ll take Vegas, because Kirk Cousins was once a respectable player and because somehow the Raiders managed to hold onto Maxx Crosby. I am fascinated however to see how a player named Storm Duck is going to do for the Fish. He sounds like something a Miami hurricane deposited onto South Beach. Poker Chips beat Fish n Chips.

Packers at Vikings – I’m all in on the Bay. They are ascendant & focused, while Team Purple looks to be searching (again) for their identity. They won’t find it before Green Bay has established an insurmountable division lead, imo. Pack smacks the Purple back.

Commanders at Eagles – I like what’s happening in DC, but Philly is still one of the top 4-5 teams in the league. Perhaps a spirited game, but Washington won’t be in Command at the end. Eagles land and take Command.

Cowboys at Giants – The poor Jints are back at the bottom in rankings. Such a storied franchise on extended hard times, it’s a shame. Maybe the Mara’s can stop fighting each other long enough to put a quality team on the field. At least they got a proven coach in Harbaugh. 26th overall ranking should motivate Big Blue this season. If Jaxson can throw some Darts, that will help. Dallas has upgraded after some costly departures, and unless the earth’s axis shifts unexpectedly Sunday night, this will be their opening win. Lone Stars become stars, on Broadway.

Broncos at Chiefs – BaBaBumPum…It’s Monday Night Football! And a good game the entire nation will be watching. The Broncs are as good as it gets in the AFC, and although the Chiefs have been vanquished of late from the final rounds of the playoffs, they ARE the Chiefs, resilient, talented, and coached by the evil genius of Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo, and at home in that NOISY stadium. I can’t hear you – my ears are ringing! I like the Chiefs in this match, not because Denver can’t beat them, but because they are home, hot to get back into the conversation, and Patrick Mahomes. Upset warning is flashing. Chiefs ride the Broncos hard and put them away wet.

Across the world, it was the spread of Christianity that valued the lives of ALL children, and ended the practice of leaving disabled or unwanted babies alone outdoors to die unspeakably horrible deaths. It was Christian influence that imprinted ALL human life with the imago dei regardless of health, sex, race, or social status.

When Trump wants to cut the knees out of an opponent, you don’t see him citing a white paper full of dry stats, like so many failed Republicans before him. He doesn’t (usually) demonize his or he character in any sense beyond bumper-sticker sloganeering. (Another strategy with, at best, mixed results.)

It’s far easier, and more effective, to simply zero in on detail that makes it easy to turn them into a laughingstock.

With James Talarico hoping to be the next Senator of Texas, the jokes practically write themselves. Especially when part of the schtick involved literally quoting the man verbatim, and putting that ridiculousness in the context of the Texas electorate, which happens to be where the convention is being held.

When he comes to Talarico’s vegetarian inclinations, attentive listeners might even pick up a subtle(?) bit of double ententre in his mockery.

Why does this cancer patient call herself a ‘victim’ of the Canadian health care system? It’s pretty obvious, really.

The Bernie Bro socialist set love to make big promises about ‘free medicare for all’, but love to hide the facts about what it REALLY looks like in places they already have it.

Canada, for instance.

Canucks don’t get a bill for typical hospital visits. But that doesn’t mean they don’t pay in other ways. Because the procedures and diagnostic tools still need to be provided for, the equipment needs to be supplied, and the layers upon layers of hospital staff still need to get paid. It all adds up, and even governments eventually run out of money.

Rather than refusing service, which would go over like a lead balloon, governments control costs in other ways. Limiting diagnostic machines, would be one example.

MRI Wait Times Across Canada: 2026 Data & Statistics Following that link will bring you to a page that shows Canadians wait, on average, 10.8 weeks before they get an MRI done. (Or they can drive over the border and get one within 24 hours, if they pay for their own.) Why the difference? Simple: there are 10 machines for every Million Canadians, and 40 machines for every million Americans. If you really want to hit the ‘free health care’ crowd with an uncomfortable truth, have them compare those waiting times with Veterinary MRI’s, even in Canada. Why the difference? Customers pay for the veterinary ones. Government pays for the human ones.

Another way thy control costs is by having you jump through dozens of hoops of consultation before a treatment is approved. In the case of Jess Grossman, (age; 36) even the life-saving cancer surgery that was ordered by the surgeon did NOT go proceed. The reasons are horrifying, and baked right into the Canadian system.

The extra steps with weeks of waiting while treatments were on hold just cost Jess Grossman the window of opportunity for surgery that may have let her beat a life-threatening cancer diagnosis. Here it is in her own words:

This actually opens up another massive difference between Canada-style Government-paid and US-based right-to-try user-directed options.

In Canada, plenty of medical services are NOT covered. (You’ll notice they are not rationed, like paid medical services, either.)

Most notably, the public health system does not cover prescriptions, dental care and vision care. Also omitted are ambulance fees, long-term care, emergency medical while you are out of the country, psychological counselling/therapy and services provided by registered specialists such as massage therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic and so on. — Manulife

There are almost endless stories featuring a Canadian who exhausts the ability/willingness of the Canadian system to treat some serious illness. What do they do when that happens?

Sadly, some will give up, roll over and die. The Canadian government will gladly fund the full cost of Medical Assistance in Dying because hey — when you’re dead you no longer cost the government anything to look after! And if you have an estate, the Government gets to cash in on those taxes!

For those Canucks stubbornly intent on remaining alive, they tend to cross that US border and find a hospital with cutting-edge equipment, a place where the patient decides whether to incur the costs of an expensive procedure if it means adding a few years (or some quality of life) before they clock out of life on terra firma.

In other words, the last, best hope of Canadians with an urgent medical crisis is using the American system they love to condemn. If state run systems were capable of making something better than what America has, they’d have done so already.

Our the Troller-in-Chief will get a chance to unleash his trademark catchphrase on the guy who burned down any pretence of ‘comedy’ in favor of pushing whichever agenda Schumer/Pelosi/Fauci and the rest of the left had decided to back on a given day. After years of self-righteous sanctimony from the Kimmel camp, you just KNOW he’s going to enjoy that last laugh.

As we near the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, you might expect the mayor of New York to exercise a little… sensitivity to the topic. There are, after all, a great many people who watched (and smelled!) their city burn as emergency crews rushed to rescue people trapped in the burning building, or recover the remains of those who could not be saved. Heroes ran into danger and never came home again.

It was an act of unspeakable evil that brought all of America together for — well, a little while, anyway. But that was a long time ago, and politicians today are banking on the numbness that comes with the passing of time, and the distance that youth puts between themselves and what can only be known second-hand.

Mayor Mamdani, of course, wasn’t around when NYC was hit. Both he and his family have been routinely called out for being sympathetic to Jihadist violence generally (including suicide bombing in particular), and for being friendly with unrepentant supporters of the 9/11 attacks.

For a mayor of NYC, that’s kind of a big deal, maybe?

If he had any real desire to assure the public they misjudged him on this issue, he might have handled the public signing of his Executive Order differently… Or at least keep the ceremonial pen until AFTER the cameras had left.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani spent Friday signing two executive orders tied to the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, then handed the ceremonial pen to Ramzi Kassem, his chief counsel and a man who spent years defending an al-Qaeda operative convicted in a terrorist plot.

The City Hall ceremony covered a pair of 9/11-related orders, one establishing a Day of Remembrance and another aimed at strengthening the city’s defenses against future terrorist attacks.

There’s really no excuse for Christian art to be anything less than the best of all art available.

As CS Lewis reminds us, Christians have the best of all myths, because it has the benefit of actually being true. But more than that, we are called to excellence in all of our endeavours and are invited (commanded, even) to imbue all of our work with the excellence one would expect if we were personally commissioned to do the work by — whoever your favourite billionaire celebrity might be.

We wouldn’t slack off or cut corners on a job like that. It would be done with a pride and purpose that takes us to the very edge of our ability. And artists among us have the opportunity to do that — and more! — for the same God that inspired a couple of artists by filling them His own Spirit so the could get the job of building His Tabernacle done right.

Now, that same Spirit fills ‘whosoever believeth’.

Jeremy Boering has had great success with his retelling of the Arthurian Legend ‘The Pendragon Cycle’ tearing up the box office rankings.

The legend itself unfolds back when the dawn of Christian belief was just beginning to break through to the warring pagan tribes that filled the Island. It’s a fantastic story that in no way requires that damning parenthetical phrase (well, good for a Christian art piece, anyway).

Boering understands that success in art really SHOULD be a commercial success. If nobody wants to watch it, then it probably wasn’t all that great in the first place.

Here’s a video where he goes gloves-off on Christians abandoning the field in the fight to create a culture worth passing on to our kids. The first section is him making this case. The rest is certainly worth watching as well.

Seminaries are packed with people who would gladly do the work of the ministry — someday, long after they get their credentials. This guy was not waiting around for any diploma to start building God’s kingdom. He technically wasn’t even a preacher.

His job was to make sure that grouchy widows weren’t at each other’s throats over who got what food. Philip was brought on as a deacon. Our fancy-pants term ‘deacon’ comes from the greek word diakanos. Which means — you guessed it — servant or waiter.

These ‘waiters’ were not your ordinary church committee folk. They were chosen because they were filled with the Holy Spirit and with power. We already met Stephen. He was the first martyr. Now we’re meeting Philip. The very first person to bring the gospel to Ethiopia did so because of wild story we see him in the thick of today.

And just to drop an exclamation point to the fact that he was no one-hit-wonder, it gives us a quick look at his own personal role in putting ‘Paid’ to the promsies Christ made about the Church exploding outward to ‘Judea, Samaria, and the Uttermost Parts Of The World’.

Imagine what might happen if we truly turned our prayers to awakening this sort of passion for God’s Kingdom in today’s church, instead of lamenting how we assume the Church’s best days are somehow ‘behind us’?

What might it look like if God’s church stepped up and reached every one of the people groups that flooded into the West during the last decade’s immigration waves? We’d suddenly have sending churches of native-speakers for pretty nearly every people group on the planet!

If we read examples of people with vision like Philip’s — and take them seriously — we might finally start to cry out to God, not about the little trivialities of our own petty fiefdoms, but that our hearts be enlarged for a passion of the building of the kingdom of God.

But enough preamble from me. Let’s get to Doug’s message!

The video clips running alongside her statements ought to be enough to falsify her claims. But since the left isn’t great about ‘subtle’, let’s hammer it home a little.

Let’s break down that one-minute-nineteen-second slice of lunacy point by point.

The assertions:

1) Stoking fears about black-and-brown Americans.
2) Lying about how minorities will destroy the suburbs
3) Whipping up violence and intimidation
4) and pinning it all on what’s been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity
5) It’s true! research backs it up. Only a tiny fraction of demonstrations had any violence at all
6) What Trump is doing false/wrong/racist
7) lecture about fear, misinformation and fact-checking, and spreading lies to win

ClashDaily Replies
1) (a) we don’t claim black-and-brown Americans were the problem. Rioters were the problem. Many of the Antifa regulars were bored rich white kids trying to find meaning in their otherwise nihilistic worldviews. We’re glad they were arrested too.
(b) Have you noticed the pivot to ‘black-and-brown’ yet? They have to make that pivot, because the more they flood the zone with illegal aliens from Latin America, the smaller the voice of the African-American voting block becomes. If they lump them together in one block, Dems are hoping you won’t notice that the specific concerns and interests of that group are going to be swallowed up by an increasingly distant and disinterested movement. (See also how the LGBT ‘coalition’ kicked Martina Navratilova out of the movement when she refused to bow the knee to the new enthusiasm for Trans)

2) Lying about how minorities will destroy the suburbs? Again. Not ‘minorities’, so much as lawless criminals encouraged to riot, of any color. See Seattle, Portland, Kenosha, among other examples.

3) Whipping up violence and intimidation? When her husband was President, law enforcement in Dallas was giving a proper police escort to a duly-organized and permitted BLM parade, at the end of which, a racist with a rifle started picking off police officers. His affiliations were with some groups supported by the same subversive Cuban spy agency that was in bed with the Weather Underground, whose founders launched Obama’s campaign in their living room. 4) ‘Overwhelmingly peaceful movement’ — as mentioned in point 3, leaders of these protest are closely tied to Cuban subversive operatives, with a long history of fomenting actual violent domestic terrorist movements, including kidnappings, bombings, and various other acts of violence, with the end-goal of fomenting a violent revolution in America. The ‘racial solidarity’ has been chosen specifically for the way grievances can be stoked and unhealthy passions can be inflamed.

5) Tiny fraction… any violence at all? Portland had one HUNDRED consecutive days of rioting, with leftist activist groups bailing them out of jail so they could continue rioting, and Kamala encouraged mass bail-outs which was used to let a great many criminals walk free, even when their crimes had nothing to do with the ‘protests’, in some cases further endangering the people they had victimized in the first place.

The George Floyd riots resulted in several dozen deaths, from 25-42, by some estimates. For the record, the total number of unarmed black men killed in a police encounter

6) This isn’t a statement of fact, this is a narrative you use to whip up emotion among your own electorate, just like the death of democracy blather, frothing-at-the-mouth claims of what pro-life laws will look like, and even some crazy claims that Clarence Thomas will overturn inter-racial marriage. (Which would be really awkward both for himself — his wife is white — and for the Veep.)

7) This entire video is an example of her side doing exactly that. Just like we saw Abigail Spanberger as the ‘moderate’ candidate, Joe Biden as ‘sharp as a tack’, and that we need to ‘believe the science’.

Go sell crazy someplace else, Michelle.

These four verses from Matthew’s quill spotlight three aspects of classic, biblical, masculinity that are evaporating, in many churches, like a pack of smokes at an AA meeting.

What are they, you ask?

Well, I’m glad you inquired, you inquiring mind.

They are:

1. Jesus was a mountain man.
2. Jesus wasn’t scared of lepers.
3. Jesus wasn’t some little chick that bragged about what he did.

Let’s chip away at numero uno, shall we?

Jesus was a mountain man.

I’ll never forget attending a pastor’s retreat in Texas many moons ago where I was publicly chastised during a dinner for ordering one Coors Lite.

That’s one … Coors … Lite. Not twenty. Not seven. Not two.

Just one.

I was told by this minister that I was being a “bad witness” by drinking beer in public and that according to him, Jesus was angry with me.

What I found ironic was the fact that he was about two-hundred pounds overweight, had more chins than a Chinese phonebook, and could barely walk across the restaurant parking lot because he was so out of shape.

Another thing I thought was a tad bit weird was him getting fussy about my one Silver Bullet when he had seventeen pieces of fried catfish and thirty-three hushpuppies. “Physician, heal thyself” seems a befitting verse for Mr. Busybody.

If Jesus were alive today and hanging out on a mountain top, old chunky butt would be left in the dust because of his self-imposed obesity and rank inactivity.

Men should be hardy and able bodied, like Jesus.

Jesus often hung out in the mountains.

Back then, there were no ski lifts or helicopters to transport one to a summit. Jesus had to be physically fit to get to these high places that he loved to frequent.

When most people think of Jesus nowadays, they think of some pale-skinned indoor boy that hangs out with the Virgin Mary all the time talking about how mean the other boys are to him.

Most of the Christian art–which is total effeminate crap in my estimation–depicts Jesus as some squeamish, non-athletic, Boy George-type dreamy Savior who walks around in a taupe peignoir and sandals. In my mind’s eye, I see the Son of Man more like a Bear Grylls, who has no problemo whatsoever traversing streams, bounding over boulders, scaling a rock face or piloting a gruff boat in rough seas.

Christian males, especially in big cities, wouldn’t dare try to conquer a mountain because that would require sweat, getting dirty, possibly twisting an ankle or worse … like wrecking their manicure they just got at Shambreeka’s Nail Salon.

If you want your holy testosterone to kick in gents, get beyond the pavement, away from the lame and tame and interface with the wild just like Jesus did. It’s magical. Be like Jesus and head often to the hills. Everytime he retreated to the woods He’d come back refreshed, filled with the Holy Ghost and ready to stomp more demonic skulls.

Another muy masculine quality in Matthew 8:1-4 was Jesus’s willingness to interface with the forbidden lepers.

If you had leprosy back in JC’s day, then guess what? Uber-religious people wouldn’t go anywhere near you.

Not only did your ears, fingers, toes, nose, and penis fall off, you also didn’t smell that hot and you had the added displeasure of lumps covering your noggin. In addition to that humiliation you were banished to live in a Lepers Only subdivision that was about as appealing as watching Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi dirty dance.

In other words, no one wanted their picture taken with you to share on their Instagram page if you were a leper.

Lepers were deemed “unclean” by Moses in Numbers 5:1- 4. Therefore, if you wanted to be considered Lysol-disinfected by the Law of Moses and respected by the pretty people of the Old Order, you kept the heck away from the lepers and the leper colony.

Jesus shattered that rule.

Following the New Covenant law of love, Jesus healed the audacious leper whose faith dared him to approach the Son of God.

Oh, and by the way, Jesus could have healed the dude with His word alone but He went a step further and touched him. That was completely unnecessary for Christ to render His supernatural power but He did it anyway.

In our current context the “lepers” would be anyone who the legalistic evangelicals would deem “unclean.”

Y’know … like peeps with COVID-19, HIV, meth-heads, strippers, porn stars, the LGBTQ crowd, different races, political affiliations, and idolatrous cultures.

It takes a man to defy religious conventions, blow off what judgmental Christians will think about him, and reach out and touch folks myopic believers have deemed “unclean.”

If you don’t think that requires testicular fortitude then step out of your stained glass environment and try it. I guarantee it’ll require cojones to ignore the naysayers and infiltrate unsafe spaces with the power and the love of God.

And lastly, Jesus told the former leper, “See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

There are two things I dig about verse four of Matthew chapter eight:

1. Jesus said to tell no one.
2. Jesus sent the “unclean leper” to the priest for a little show-and-tell.

It takes a man not to brag about what they’ve done. Most pastors today would’ve dragged that leper around the planet showing off how God has used them to heal this poor guy. They’d put it on Facebook, call up Oprah, and try to get Netflix to do a documentary about their mighty healing ministry.

Jesus, on the other hand, said tell no one. Jesus, you see, wasn’t some little fame-seeking Christian tinkerpot. The only person JC wanted him to tell was the priest who deemed lepers as unsavory compost that shouldn’t be touched but rather left to rot.

The quick transition from ‘Googling’ every question that pops into our head to asking chatbots to plan our lives for us already leading to some disastrous consequences. This one could have been fatal.

As probably everyone’s grandparents used to say, ‘God gave you a brain, use it’. Little would they have imagined living in a world when even life-and-death decisions would be outsourced to the ‘wisdom’ of a machine.

The along came the ability to ask a phone the answers to all of your most pressing questions.

Looking for a rare quote, or a recipe that can made with the ingredients on hand, or influences that gave rise to a particular school of thought? Not a bad tool to have available. But planning a trip up a mountain?

Yikes. We won’t need to worry about Skynet ‘offing’ us. We might just do it to ourselves.

Case in point: Mount Shasta California.

Three guys — college students — decided to go for a hike up Mount Shasta. They consulted a chatbot about what sorts of things they might need, and were given tips about how much food and water, and what kind of food they should pack. They figured it would be an 8 hour trip. They didn’t bring much of what they needed, and they proceeded at an alarmingly slow pace up the mountain, debating turning back at two separate waypoints. Even the choice of where where they decided to make camp for the night put them in danger.

They COULD have done a little asking around. Or used ‘old-school’ tools like Google to get some super-basic information that could have saved them this hassle, embarrassment and yes, a brush with death. In under a minute I was able to pull up this helpful site from an adventure guide company with the following information:

Can a beginner climb Mt. Shasta?

Absolutely! What happened to the climbers?

For one thing, AI promised them an 8-hour round trip. I say again, 8-hour ROUND trip. Sixteen hours after leaving, they reached the summit. Phone was dead and no longer helpful for navigation. Backup charger was not working properly. At least one guy had issues with a headlamp that wasn’t working. We now know they  knew about the dot-org website for the mountain, but they didn’t consult it, relying on AI instead.

They had a decent tent, but pitched it in a dangerous location. One guy didn’t have a headlamp and wrenched his knee on the way down again. They wandered off the trail to a place with dangerously loose rock and no path down. The trip was a wreck. There was a hypothermia scare. Eventually, park rangers came up and, with no feasible place for a helicopter to land, walked their exhausted selves back to safety.

After some food, water, and a pep talk, all three walked down under their own power. Passing their campsite, rangers found the group’s tent pitched damagingly close to the headspring of Clear Creek, among scattered food wrappers and cookware. They reached Clear Creek Trailhead at 6:30 p.m, concluding the planned 8-hour trip after 39.5 hours.
Meyers attributed the incident to lapses of information and mentorship. The group said they knew about the robust Mt. Shasta information website, shastaavalanche.org, but didn’t use it to prepare. They also had suitable gear—a solid tent, headlamps, and snow travel equipment, as well as summit passes—but lacked other equipment that would have supported their plan, like a reliable charging system for their phone or a backup method of navigation..
“Our objective is always to give people information,” Meyers said. “We don’t try to influence what people do, but instead give them the knowledge and resources they need to make good decisions in the mountains.
“We know people are going to use AI to prepare themselves, and it’s happening more and more – especially with educated young people. But there’s no excuse for ignoring the information when it’s freely available. We just try to encourage everyone to talk to a real person first. We’re here to help.” — Backpacker

What you’ll see on-screen is a couple of gay dudes who are raising concerns about their own safety if the ‘far-right’ (meaning people who want Spain to remain Western, rather than being overrun by a hostile culture that believes all the world needs to submit to their religion… by force if necessary) gains political ascendancy in Spain. They’re worried about Victor Franco, but don’t give a moment’s thought to the inherent dangers of a long history of menacing totalitarianism waiting at the other(?) end of the spectrum.

What will these Spanish guys do if the ‘wrong party’ gains ascendency? Their knee-jerk response is exactly the same one we heard from all those Hollywood gazillionaires. They’ll leave the country. It’s what they said their Plan B option was that took an otherwise dull and unoriginal sentiment and made it unintentionally hilarious.

They want to seek asylum elsewhere.

They want to seek asylum in ‘Palestine’.

There are a couple of problems with that plan. First off, so far as independent nations go, Palestine does not currently exist on a map. It has no autonomous nation status. So what they’re really saying is they want to single out the Palestinian-controlled parts of the (slightly) larger nation in which it is currently located, meaning Israel.

If they were to seek asylum, it would be the Israeli government handling their paperwork, and stamping their passport, not some PLO bureaucrat. That fact by itself would likely throw cold water on the idea.

The SECOND problem is far worse than the first. It takes us back to the old ‘Chickens for Chick Fil-A’ mockery of the ‘gays for Gaza’ protesters. Don’t take MY word for it, here’s part of a 2024 ‘Gay City News’ article blasting the LGBT crowd for hating Israel  and aligning itself with Palestinians, despite… well, I’ll let him say it in his own words, after praising Israel for:

The Palestinian territories? Not so much. Still today in 2024, Palestinian culture ostracizes, humiliates, jails, tortures and often murders people simply for being gay. This reflects endemic and legally-enshrined homophobia across both the PA-administered West Bank and the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
LGBTQ Westerners’ aligning themselves with a culture that gladly goes on record mocking and rejecting their support, often threatening them with obscene sexual violence, could be an example of supreme ignorance or extreme masochism. However, the reality is often even more confounding. It reflects a progressivism that has lost so much sight of the true battles it exists to fight, that it now sacrifices its ideals of equality and freedom in exchange for antisemitic libel campaigns that systematically undermine decades of liberal progress.

A term that often comes up in these discussions is “intersectionality,” the notion of a common thread between all oppressed groups. By this logic, queer people are oppressed, and Palestinians are oppressed, so their struggles are automatically tied together. For each to succeed, they must fight beside, and for, each other. For a group that styles itself as ‘standing up to totalitarians’ they sure are in a hurry to consolidate power under their banner.

One of the strongest arguments against Republicans pulling the so-called ‘nuclear option’ and ending the filibuster is the assumption that the second Democrats get their grubby mitts on power again, they will use the power of a bare majority to cause irreversible harm to the American Experiment in self-government.

They will create new voting blocks to give themselves more votes. They will enshrine new agendas that citizens would never have supported (just like they did under Biden) and they wouldn’t have to worry about court challenges, because they would rig the system in their favor by putting enough clowns like Boasberg in SCOTUS who don’t give a damn what the Constitution actually says so long as it advances the party’s goals.

Sure, America would still be a republic on PAPER, but look around. There are plenty of totalitarian countries with ‘Republic’ in their name. This would just be one more example.

Even FDR, for all of his efforts at consolidating enormous swaths of power into the hands of the Federal government stopped short of his desire to ‘pack the court’ with more than 9 judges so that his policies could prevail. From then until now, political orthodoxy has agreed that court-packing was a sure sign of tyranny. But for anyone paying attention, from the second Trump started making judicial appointments in SCOTUS, the left started attacking their once-beloved Article III judges as ‘illegitimate’.

They’ve been sowing distrust since the Kavanugh appointment, and it’s only accelerated since. First with ACB and then with the Dobbs decision. Dems in the Biden era didn’t even put a stop to the illegal protests outside the homes of GOP-appointed judges, not even AFTER a failed assassination attempt.

Here’s the total count of the vote Republicans brought to the House floor, mandating a PERMANENT LIMIT of nine federal judges.

It would have required a two-thirds majority to pass. Dems rejected it. But the point was made.

The GOP is willing to concretize the 9-member SCOTUS. Dems are not.

Of course not. Now that the hard left has taken over the party, the Dems have an agenda to push.

They really don’t give a damn what they have to burn down to a make it happen. In fact, burning stuff down is pretty much their calling card.

When Kamala was made ‘border czar’, she didn’t visit the border, she went to South America. She CLAIMED she wanted to ‘address the root causes’ of immigration.

More than six Hundred Venezuelans (not even counting everyone else) later, she still hadn’t ‘solved the root causes’. All she really wanted to do was keep them flooding in.

And why not? After Havanna, Venezuela was the biggest nexus pushing the New Left agenda. (See: pages 23-25) It saves you convincing lifelong Americans that the Dem agenda makes sense. Flood the country with their people, you’ll change the overall complexion of the people in it. They’ll bring their politics with them. If that trend continued long enough, one day it wouldn’t be the animals in the Venezuelan zoos that are being stolen and eaten. It will be the Bronx zoo. (Thanks, Mamdani!)

But what happens if Venezuela itself changes?

Realistically, Venezuelans came to America for the jobs and money. Under Moduro, the place went to hell in a hand basket. What if, instead of working entry level jobs in a country with the cost of living we see in America, they could work in the place they grew up in, with enough money to live the typical American dream in the place they once called home?

It’s win-win. Both countries get something out of it.

The Venezuelan announcement helps reverse the harms of Biden’s disastrous open border. Or at least mitigate them. It’s reversing the polarity of what’s drawing their people in which direction.

Now that Maduro is out of the way, and Trump has struck a deal with the interim government, American companies that lost their investments when Venezuela nationalized are getting access again. They’re rebuilding what Venezuela stole, but couldn’t operate. Turns out ‘seizing the means of production’ isn’t quite so easy as you might think.

How does the press in Canada handle the situation? Well, first off, their baseline levels of TDS make their American counterparts look like MAGA patriots by comparison, so naturally, they’re assuming the worst.

But this journey has taken the express train to crazy town.

You have a chance to ask one question to Adm. Samuel Paparo, commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and what are you asking? Is it about China? Bilateral cooperation? Deployment? Rivals stockpiling icebreakers to open up Arctic travel?

None of those. Instead he’s asking whether US is contemplating going to war with Canada.

War? Really?

Paparo answered with the mocking contempt such a question rightly deserved.

You don’t need the permission of Citizens to enact radical agendas if you flood the zone with newly-minted citizens who already hate everything America stands for… except the freebies they hand out.

We spent most of Trump’s first term hearing endless claims that Trump was nothing more than a Puppet of Putin. It spilled into the 2020 election, and the already-disproven lies may have actually gotten some traction from the people who trust news sources whose integrity is SO precious to them that they refused to return Pulitzers awarded for reporting bogus information.

Then came Trump’s attempt to end Birthright Citizenship, which on its face was intended to enshrine in law the elevation to full citizens those who had either been slaves themselves or were the children of freed slaves. If your loyalty (or that of your parents) is to anyone other than these United States Of America, your citizenship goes to that OTHER loyalty. Ambassadors aren’t citizens. Nor are tourists. The fact that even Federally-recognized American Indians needed separate new legislation in 1924 to include them as naturally-born US citizens is kind of a clue that it takes more than taking your first breath on US soil to become an American. (See 1884 court decision Elk vs. Wilkins for relevant precedent that legislation was addressing.)

Libs never stop to ask themselves about ‘second order consequences’ of their worst ideas.

New Jersey closed gyms, with malicious prosecution of the owners. New York bolted boards through b-ball hoops in parks.

Non-compliance got you shunned or fired.

What do you supposed would have happened during COVID in an age where flock cameras and AI could generate CCP-style Social Credit scores for the good and naughty little girls and boys. (And whose definition of good and naughty do you suppose would Team Biden have relied upon?)

It’s not about what the tech could be used for in the best case scenario that matters… so much as what kind of unchecked power does it put in the hands of people who CANNOT be trusted to use it correctly?

Nils cut his teeth as a counterintelligence agent in the ebbing days of the Cold War, with a prescient observation that Islamic terrorism would become a major global problem. “Bill Clinton did his part by treating Islamic terrorism like a criminal problem rather than a national security problem,” he says. 

Bush preserved America’s dependence on Middle Eastern oil, opines Nils, adding that after 9/11, the United States should instead have spread the burden of war more broadly through national service and war bonds while aggressively developing domestic energy production. From this perspective, bin Laden’s strategy was not simply to attack America, but to destabilize U.S.-friendly petroleum regimes in the Persian Gulf and exploit an energy dependence that left the nation strategically vulnerable.

Grevillius shares an informed dose of skepticism toward government-run investigations—a sentiment that resonates with a growing number of Americans. Public confidence in the nation’s intelligence and federal law-enforcement institutions has fallen dramatically in recent years, with both the CIA and FBI suffering historically low ratings as distrust mounts toward the very agencies charged with protecting the American people.

But Grevillius takes the argument a step further: Sometimes the private guy simply does it better.

He points to Allan Pinkerton, whose private detective agency performed functions in the 19th century that would later become the province of federal law enforcement and intelligence. Pinkerton and his operatives gathered intelligence for the Union during the Civil War and helped protect Abraham Lincoln, including famously uncovering an alleged assassination plot before Lincoln’s inauguration. In Grevillius’ telling, Pinkerton was something of a 19th-century precursor to the modern private security contractor—doing privately what government agencies would later institutionalize.

That distinction matters to Grevillius. Private operators have powerful incentives to produce results: fail, and you lose the client. Government bureaucracies rarely face the same immediate consequences. He sees that dynamic extending far beyond detective work, pointing to everything from federal law enforcement to disaster response. His larger point is provocative but difficult to dismiss: government doesn’t possess a monopoly on competence simply because it possesses a badge, a bureaucracy or a budget—and sometimes the people outside the system outperform those entrusted to run it.

Asked whether people come to private investigators as a last resort or because they don’t trust law enforcement bureaucracy, Grevillius responds, “I get it both ways. People who have been cycled through the system and punished appropriately for their belief that their government is here to help them…sometimes the government does help them; usually not.”

“I have a radical idea that incompetence and indifference are the most endemic, pernicious, damaging forms of civil corruption you could imagine,” asserts Grevillius. But what has helped him succeed and thrive in a very hostile, high-risk profession boils down to two things: his ability to understand the subtext of what is going on and read between the lines often; secondly and most importantly, Grevillius emphasizes emotional roughness. 

“Take any healthy man of the correct age and you can make him into the physical specimen,” he says. “But if he lacks the emotional toughness, you can’t breed it into him; you can’t create emotional toughness where it doesn’t already exist.”

“It’s because the things that make us tough are being replaced by things that make us soft,” agrees Rice, comparing the toughness of Reggie Jackson and Willie Mays to athletes today. “The things that make us tough are being replaced by things that make us soft. A lot of it is just the digital nonsense and devices,” he says. 

“Cyborgs, A.J., they’re cyborgs,” responds Grevillius, “You take away the digital device, they’re half a human being.”

Canucks and the Dems are making this all about Trump being petty, when Trump is just playing the same hardball games with Canada Cretien once played with Clinton.

In the process, both sides have completely lost their sense of humo(u)r. Neither group will appreciate this as much as they probably should.

Back when NAFTA was signed, the loonie was worth about .60 cents US. [Currently about 0.72; down from the mid nineties in the Harper years.] Cretien used that low dollar to incentivize US companies (manufacturing, Hollywood, and anyone else who would take the invite) to set up shop north of the border.

Now that Trump has flipped the script, and is moving big business the other way, Canadians are freaking out. Most countries have realized that the best strategy when you’re in an octagon with a silverback gorilla is to find some solution both sides can accept.

Canada, unfortunately, is being run by an actual Davos elitist — one of the insider policy wonks, not just some drooling devotee. He doesn’t really care about what happens to Canada. He’s got two other passports and plenty of money parked in the US. Like Lord Farquad, he’s willing to ‘make sacrifices’ so long as it’s the little people who bear the brunt of them.

We thought we had a deal. Details were agreed to. And then we didn’t.

It might have been because of how a deal might impact elections in Quebec. Or the Alberta’s independence vote. Or maybe he wants to throw a wrench in the US midterms. Probably had something to do with Billionaire donors in Switzerland advising his decisions. Who knows? But Mr. Elbows up is not interested in making a deal.

So Trump did a little trolling, and renamed Lake Ontario. He could have picked ‘Lake Superior’, the biggest one. But that wouldn’t have had nearly the impact of renaming Ontario, not just because ‘Conservative’ Premier Doug Ford has his BP spike dangerously high at the mere mention of Trump, but because Toronto just happens to be on that lake. And they will take it VERY personally.

In fact, Doug was so triggered that he built a billboard that said Lake Ontario. In two languages. Because THAT’ll show him.

That’s the background that brings us to the meme of the day. The fight has been put to music, and he did a pretty solid job.

They WANT you to think this is some sort of a racially motivated harassment campaign. In reality, it’s a crackdown on crimes they ALL pretend to care deeply about. Including gun crimes.

When we started seeing a pattern of truckers on the roads who couldn’t speak a lick of English, we knew there was a problem. When Sanctuary states refused to cooperate with investigations? That problem started looking like it was part of something MUCH bigger.

When Sec Duffy set about flipping over rocks to see what was lurking under them, suddenly all KINDS of creepy crawlies were exposed to the light of day for the first time. An organized task force was set up to tackle the problem at scale. And we’ve got some results.

Clown media on the left are desperately trying to downplay the story as a ‘failure’ of the fraud task force because the problem they’re trying to solve really isn’t that bad, statistically. These are the same credible and reliable voices who told us so confidently that the ‘border was secure’ under Biden, that inflation was either ‘non-existent’ or ‘transitory’, depending on when you asked, that the fall of Kabul was a ‘success’, and that both Biden and Kamala were intelligent, talented and capable candidates. Final Determination & Consequences: If the state fails to correct the problems, FMCSA issues a final determination of substantial noncompliance. This triggers a mandatory withholding of federal highway funds, starting at up to 4% in the first year and increasing to 8% for each subsequent year of noncompliance.
Decertification: For serious issues, FMCSA may begin the decertification process. A decertified state cannot issue, renew, transfer, or upgrade any CDLs.

HSI and USDOT-OIG are investigating medical practitioners suspected of improperly certifying medical exams required for illegal aliens to obtain CDLs.

Investigating companies exploiting visa holders, engaging in visa fraud, labor exploitation, financial crimes, and drug trafficking associated with CDL businesses.

Didja catch that? This thing we’re not supposed to care about — because racism — even includes investigations into companies that are exploiting legitimate visa holders and pressuring them to break the law ‘or else’.

Jesus nuked that heretical notion in his first podcast. Everyone gets a storm. Everyone will have bad things happen to them. What’s masculine and refreshing about this promise of pain is: It’s nonsense free. Jesus forewarns folks of impending, could be calamitous, trials heading towards everyone who strolls this terra firma and they could be devastating if you’ve been playing games in a Christian Disneyland, not erecting your life on his eternal principles. That’s man stuff. This shock-and-awe, reality-based revelation, laid to the psyche of those who have ears to hear causes them to prepare accordingly and build their lives well. Forewarning equals forearming to the shrewd follower of the Galilean. Here Jesus is being a drill sergeant slapping his troops around and getting them ready to rumble in a spiritual war that’s about to hit them in the kisser. Effeminate pastors who love to be loved, don’t brand their congregation with such an austere wakeup call because that type of intel thins their herd and they need that herd to buy their bunkum because BMWs can be oh-so-expensive these days. Another masculine aspect that Jesus leveled on the listener is something you don’t hear too much of nowadays, namely: God is a tester and not everyone passes the test. In our effete days of extreme wussification, we omit stringent testing of the kiddos in schools because they’re deemed to be mean and could shame your stupid kid for being a moron who’s been playing around instead of paying attention. Indeed, in our times we give participation “trophies” to clods who rocked up in 9th place or ran the wrong way in a relay race. Not so with Jesus. His preaching had a punch and I pray to God that there’s video in heaven of him preaching back in the day because I would love to see how he preached compared to the sweeties today that fill pulpits around our nation. I travel a bit, preaching around our country, and I’m disturbed by the lame, nicer-than-Christ, Sons of Charmin who’re supposed to be Sons of Thunder. There are too many that lack authority. They lack gravitas. They’re like sappy Christian versions of Jimmy Fallon. They don’t scare people. They don’t convict the congregation. They’re puppets, not prophets. They’re echoes and not a voice. They’re not John the Baptist, they’re Juan the Babetist and it is some sad and pathetic junk. The prophets, apostles, and the Chief Dragonslayer himself, Jesus, spoke with authority. They branded the listener. They spoke on behalf of God, not a denomination and not from their fragile little ego that needs lukewarm sheeple to lavish mad praise on them because they live for the approval of men rather than the approval of God. There is a fundamental problem emerging in cybersecurity that has little to do with whether America has enough security researchers, enough software engineers or enough sophisticated security tools. The problem is speed. Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly capable of finding vulnerabilities in software, analyzing enormous quantities of code and identifying weaknesses that might otherwise take human researchers considerably longer to uncover. That is a significant advantage for defenders, but it creates a new problem as well: finding vulnerabilities is only the beginning.

Once a vulnerability is discovered, somebody still has to determine whether it is real, establish how serious it is, identify the affected products, notify the appropriate developers or maintainers, develop and test a fix, distribute that fix and make sure it is actually installed. The discovery process can increasingly be automated. The remediation process is still very dependent on humans, organizations and the complicated infrastructure connecting them.

That is the challenge the Trump administration is attempting to address with Gold Eagle, a new federal vulnerability coordination initiative intended to accelerate the discovery, prioritization and remediation of serious software vulnerabilities. The effort incorporates the Vulnerability Information and Coordination Environment, or VINCE, and is designed to bring government agencies, software developers, security researchers and critical-infrastructure operators into a more coordinated process.

The concept is important because the United States does not have a shortage of vulnerability information. In some respects, it has the opposite problem. Researchers, automated systems and AI tools are producing enormous quantities of findings, and not all of those findings deserve the same level of attention. Some are duplicates. Some are theoretical. Others are genuine weaknesses that could expose millions of systems. Separating one category from another is becoming an increasingly important cybersecurity function.

Gold Eagle is therefore less about creating another tool for finding vulnerabilities than about improving the pipeline that follows discovery. That distinction deserves attention. The federal government does not need to replace the private sector’s security research ecosystem. It needs to make the ecosystem work better, particularly when a vulnerability affects widely used open-source software or infrastructure that crosses organizational boundaries.

There are already efforts in the private sector aimed at solving portions of this problem. Akrites, supported by the Linux Foundation and technology companies, is focused on vulnerability discovery and coordination in open-source software. Other initiatives, including Athena, have similarly attempted to bring researchers, software maintainers and major companies into more efficient vulnerability-management processes. Gold Eagle has an opportunity to complement those efforts rather than duplicate them.

That will not be easy. Questions about scale, participation and coordination with existing programs are reasonable, particularly because the volume of software vulnerabilities is enormous and growing. A government clearinghouse cannot simply become another destination where researchers submit reports and then wait for someone else to act. The measure of success has to be whether the distance between discovery and remediation actually becomes shorter.

The urgency becomes clearer when the threat landscape is viewed at the level of an ordinary computer user. In a recent campaign, Microsoft researchers observed attackers distributing malicious Visual Basic Script files through WhatsApp. The scripts initiated a multi-stage infection process designed to establish persistence and remote access, using legitimate Windows utilities and cloud infrastructure along the way. Kaspersky separately reported a campaign in which malicious VBS files delivered an RMM agent, demonstrating how attackers can abuse legitimate remote-management software rather than relying exclusively on obviously malicious tools.

That technique creates a particularly difficult detection problem. Remote Monitoring and Management software exists for legitimate reasons. Businesses use it to administer machines, troubleshoot systems and provide technical support. When an attacker installs the same type of software without authorization, the line between ordinary administrative activity and malicious activity becomes considerably harder to identify. Security teams increasingly have to ask not merely what software is running, but who installed it, why it is running and what behavior it is exhibiting.

Other attacks demonstrate that sophisticated technology is not always necessary. The “Unusual Sign-in Attempt” scam uses fake security warnings and fabricated system information to convince users that their computers or accounts are in immediate danger, ultimately steering them toward purchasing supposed security software. The technical sophistication of the operation is almost beside the point. The attack succeeds by manipulating fear and urgency.

At the other end of the spectrum are nation-state operations. North Korean hackers have repeatedly used fake cryptocurrency companies, recruiters and employment opportunities to target technology professionals. Researchers have documented campaigns in which victims were drawn into elaborate interview processes and then directed toward malicious websites, files or technical assessments. At least 230 people were targeted in one campaign reported by SentinelOne and Validin.

These campaigns illustrate why cybersecurity can no longer be reduced to patching software. A vulnerability in an operating system is one kind of problem. A compromised WhatsApp account is another. A legitimate RMM application being abused is another. A convincing fake recruiter is another. All of them ultimately exploit the same digital environment, and attackers are becoming increasingly skilled at moving between technical vulnerabilities and human vulnerabilities.

This is also where the AI debate becomes relevant. The answer should not be to slow American AI development simply because the technology can be abused. The United States has an obvious national-security interest in remaining at the forefront of artificial intelligence, particularly when adversarial governments and criminal organizations will continue developing their own capabilities regardless of how aggressively American AI is or isn’t regulatedF.

The better objective is to ensure that American defensive capabilities advance at least as quickly as offensive capabilities. AI can help researchers analyze source code, identify anomalous behavior, prioritize vulnerabilities and process enormous amounts of threat intelligence. Those advantages should be pursued aggressively. At the same time, organizations have to recognize that the same technology can make phishing, impersonation, reconnaissance and malware development cheaper and more scalable.

That makes Gold Eagle worth watching closely, but not cynically. The administration is attempting to address a legitimate structural problem in cybersecurity, and better coordination between government and the private sector is difficult to argue against. The important question now is execution. Can the system filter the noise, identify vulnerabilities that actually matter, get information to the people capable of fixing them and measure whether those fixes reach vulnerable systems?

Cybersecurity has always been a race against time. AI is accelerating both sides of that race. The United States does not need to pretend that the threat can be eliminated, because it cannot. It needs to make sure that when a serious vulnerability is discovered, defenders have the organization, technology and authority to act before an attacker gets there first.

Hormesis.  A scientific phenomenon that was discovered in 1888 by a scientist named Hugo Paul Friedrich Schulz, but was latter forgotten about. 

Hormesis is a two-phased relationship in regards to doses of substances and the response to such substances, in which small doses are beneficial, but large doses are toxic.  

And in recent decades, there has been an increase of support within the scientific community for hormesis.  But are still those who are unfamiliar with hormesis or reject it.  

Let’s examine some of the substances in regards to hormesis.  First, there is radiation.  Extreme doses of radiation can result in cancer.  But smaller doses can be good for one’s health.  It should also be noted that nuclear power plants emit low levels of radiation, far less than the radiation people receive daily from cosmic rays and earthborn radiation.  In addition, radiation is everywhere, and it fades away and dies down (especially in the case of natural radiation).  

One particular example of the benefits of radiation is a former mine in Boulder, Montana.  A miner and his wife (who had bursitis) visited the mine, and after several visits her bursitis was gone.  As a result, the mine was converted into a health spa, and those with chronic pain and autoimmune disorders visit it.  Thus, the amount of radon (a gas emitted by radium) is beneficial, despite being 400 times greater than the EPA-recommended level (which shows how much the bureaucrats know).

Second, there is alcohol.  Consuming alcoholic beverages (e.g. wine) at low levels is good for one’s health, such as decreasing the chances of having cardiovascular disease.  But excessive drinking is bad (e.g. cirrhosis of the liver, alcoholism).  

Then there is dioxin.  Demonized as perhaps the most toxic chemical, it is actually a benign by-product of various chemicals, including Agent Orange (which, contrary to popular myth, did not have harmful effects on soldiers serving in Vietnam).  In low doses, it can be a deterrent to cancer.  

In 2004, someone put dioxin in the food that Ukrainian opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko was eating.  Despite having a bad case of acne and having consumed an amount of dioxin six thousand times higher than the normal level, his internal organs were unaffected and thus he survived.  

Despite this evidence, some people choose to ignore the concept of hormesis, particularly in the cases of accidents such as Chernobyl and Three Mile Island (despite the low amounts of radiation being emitted).

At any rate, the concept of hormesis should be made known not just throughout the scientific community, but to the general public.  And in doing so, knowledge will prevail over fear.

Social media loves nothing better than outrage and controversy. It drives algos and often transforms no-talent schmucks into ‘influencers’. It’s ALSO an easy way to manipulate public opinion.

Especially when you can generate bogus engagement with a few hundred thousand bots.

The old Soviets had a term — ‘useful idiot’. Today’s tech can allow a sophisticated propagandist to mass produce such people to act against their own interests, and champion ideas that would have once seemed laughable. It seems we have NOT yet quite learned those hard lessons from the Pandemic era.

The AI question is the latest example. There are a lot of arguments you could use in making the case ‘for’ or ‘against’ pushing the growth of AI. Economics, national security, jobs impact, environment, and intellectual property are just a few of the hotly contested topics for this issue.

We have recently seen that it is ALSO a new issue which could supersede the some local and state-level races — including red and blue races that traditionally prioritize more traditional party distinctions.

With an unusually narrow balance of power, and some of America’s enemies known history of favouring the party that’s increasingly sympathetic to their communist ideals, it’s a good idea to take a minute to step back from those fights and see which of them come from deeply held convictions based on real information and propaganda used to either cause strife, change elections, or (worse still) move policy in a direction our rivals would prefer us to take.

How big a difference could these manipulators make?

Well, we now live in a world where Charlie Kirk’s widow is being blamed for his assassination, people are claiming the Butler Pennsylvania shooting (with an actual fatal shot fired) was ‘staged’, that a woman who confessed to strangling her own children to death was innocent, and that wrote a musical to celebrate the life of a guy who just confessed to shooting a Health Care executive in the back for no other reason than being in the wrong line of work.

Keep this in mind when you see posts with tens of thousands of likes that happen to fit with the information war positions of certain adversaries.

You think this is the only CCP bot farm? Any idea how many Iranian/Pakistani/Russian active bot farms currently exist on here and other platforms?

Even the ‘likes’ themselves are weaponized as social proof.

If someone sees that 3 people agree with an outlandish statement? It’s easily dismissed as being crackpot. But when folks who are NOT so discerning come across an outlandish statement with 30,000 people agreeing to it? Especially with Gish Galloping claim-upon-claim lies made with the absolute certainty of a total psychopath? It leaves the user wondering if maybe they really DO “see something” the rest of us are missing.

And before you know it, they’ve fallen a rabbit hole. And why is that hole hard to get out of? It would require admitting (even to yourself) that you were fool enough to fall for ridiculous lies in the first place. And the longer you’ve held onto it, the more deeply such an admission of stupid credulity hurts the ego.

It’s hardly the first time the CCP and before them, the Soviets, have used our freedoms against us. They’ve used various protest groups to block growth and advancement of various kinds, used peace movements to sway public opinion in foreign policy, and have use racial divisions to generally destabilize things.

Pick whatever side of the debate you think best. Just make sure you are doing it because of your own authentic beliefs, and NOT because you’ve been ‘nudged‘ into a position that was made, not of your own will, but that of the person who ‘nudged’ you.

We realized too late in the game that governments were playing a dirty game in COVID, weaponizing information to control their own citizens against their will to make the ‘right’ choices.

Let your voice be heard.

Just make entirely sure it’s your own ideas that come out when you speak up. And if you find yourself parroting the same ideas of those who hate your country…?

Take as long as you need to stop and recalibrate. It costs you nothing to recheck your assumptions. But as we’ve already learned, NOT checking them can lead to a world of trouble.

Most fathers bring their family to a place like this so they can learn something about the world around them. Not this dad. He brought his 10yo kid there as an accomplice for a daytime heist.

Jean Zintz, 31, broke into the Mesa Arts Center a week ago, according to a probable cause statement obtained by PEOPLE.

Zintz and his son were captured on surveillance cameras arriving at a parking garage next to the arts center at 1:29 p.m. in a white 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. They then walked around the arts center property and tried to gain access to multiple locked buildings by pulling on exterior doors, according to the probable cause statement.
[…] Once inside, per the statement, they went to a pair of galleries, where Zintz’s son allegedly took four pieces of jewelry: a sterling silver “Trouble” necklace valued at $2,100, a sterling silver self-portrait bolo valued at $3,000, a sterling silver “Rockstar” bracelet valued at $650 and a “Cheii Rockstar” bracelet valued at $1,600. The items were worth a combined $7,350.

The boy allegedly signed his name in a gallery sign-in book and later wrote his name on artwork he made inside a neighboring art studio, where Zintz allegedly left a stainless-steel cup behind. The next day, on Aug. 20, detectives identified the pair and traced them to Zintz’s parents’ home in Mesa. Zintz had been visiting from Washington state. — People

So, lemme get this straight: Junior left his John Hancock all over the crime scene, and dad went back the very next day to retrive the stainless steel cup he left behind? Seems a stupid thing to have brought on a heist in the first place.

The property was recovered at the place they were staying – including part of a cactus that was stolen, for some reason.

The hard left’s allies and enablers keep getting picked off one by one at both the State and Federal levels.

We’ve come a long way from Trump ‘s first term, when the deputy chair of the DNCC held up a book in a very famous photo in a social media post…

…before pouring contempt on any semblance of the rule of law during his role as AG of Minnesota. (Federal probes into his conduct as AG are ongoing.) On the Judiciary committee back then, Nadler dismissed Antifa violence as a ‘myth’ and an ‘imaginary thing’.

Democrats and their media enablers ranged from claiming Antifa were the ‘good guys’ because ‘anti-fascist’ is right in the name — like how ‘People’s Republic’ is right in the name of various totalitarian states — to it doesn’t actually exist — to it’s just a generic idea that others have rallied around. Violent activists were emboldened in the Biden years because they did not fear prosecution.

Then Trump was sworn in for his second term.  That’s when everything changed. We’ve now seen real arrests of real people with felony convictions for violent rioters. We’ve seen NGO protest-for-hire money streams dry up. (Thanks, DOGE!) Foreign agitators have been identified. It’s not a cute game restless students can play during their summer break anymore. We’re playing for real stakes now.

Some of the foreign agitators have problems of their own right now, and find it difficult to focus on meddling in US domestic affairs. New Terror designations have exposed the activist left’s fellow travellers to splashback for any material support. It’s not been a fast process, but it’s been a step-by-step ramp up of pressure.

So far, Florida is the only state to directly name Antifa among terrorist groups treated as a violent threat. Other states have made moves in that direction, but have not yet connected.

Federally, the Trump Team has begun picking off their friends and enablers.

A State Department memo reveals that an international technology collective, now under a U.S. global terrorism designation, provided services to overseas terrorist groups and violent far-left agitators causing chaos in American cities, according to a copy obtained by Fox News Digital.
“Far-left terrorism poses a profound threat to the United States and the broader West,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Today, the United States sanctioned Autistici/Inventati – a major far-left tech collective whose services are used by the most active and violent Antifa cells in the United States and across the world.”
Autistici/Inventati, called the A/I Collective by the State Department, is an Italy-based group that builds highly sophisticated digital infrastructure used by violent left-wing organizations in the United States and Europe, along with Islamic terrorists, according to the State Department. The collective’s services include encrypted chats and email, web hosting, secure video conferencing and streaming and anonymity shields, according to the memo.

Their communications are being cut, and so are their funding streams — foreign and domestic.

It’s almost as if these radicals were never the ‘grassroots’ movements they claimed to be at all.

As thought they’re an op run by outsiders who hate everything America stands for… go figure!

Don’t worry. The media will continue to ‘fall’ for it.

Supposing they can even feign ignorance at this point.

It’s one thing to hate everything someone stands for, but if you make ‘an example’ of someone, you’d better be standing on solid ground.

When ENES freedom wore a T-shirt saying ‘Woman: adult human female’, he was exerting free speech that was intended to bother people who disagreed with him. You’d think an arena filled with athletes who spend half their lives in someone else’s arena would be used to antagonistic messaging.

It’s built right into the culture.

But some people have no respect for the American Experiment, especially that super-annoying right that other people have to hold ideas you find absolutely heretical to your worldview. For instance, can you imagine that some people think that guys sports and women’s sports should be entirely separate things?

No, really, it’s true.

As we’ve covered elsewhere, Enes Kanter Freedom — who has a history of making of hard choices involving putting principles ahead of profit and popularity, even at great personal cost — has become an activist in the women’s sports are for women movement. The WNBA has been dancing around this question, with ‘inoffensively’ vague language in the CBA that refused to stipulate where they stand on dudes in a dress competing against a team of chicks. If they’re going to leave a loophole, people will exploit it. Enes is one of the male players testing their resolve with the upcoming drafts.

If you missed it, this was the entire premise of the ‘Ladyballers’ film.

Now, not only was Enes thrown out for wearing a T-shirt, but he has even been banned from watching any of the Chicago Sky games (that’s the name of their WNBA team, since most of our readers probably didn’t know that before Enes made headlines there).

He was ready for it.

And now, he’s escalating.

That escalation includes the phrase: ‘Preserve all records’.

Enes Kanter Freedom has sent a letter to WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert requesting answers to 5 questions after his ejection from the Fever vs Sky Game & ban from the arena:

1. Identify the policy, rule, directive, or instruction relied upon in treating certain spectators,
including me, differently when we express a viewpoint that appears unpopular with the
WNBA

2. Identify whether the decision to eject me was made or requested by WNBA personnel, Chicago Sky personnel, Wintrust Arena personnel, security personnel, or another individual or entity

3. Confirm whether Ms. Cloud’s conduct has been or will be reviewed under any League
policy governing player interactions with fans, including rules governing altercations that require player suspension, and state what accountability, if any, she, her team, and management will face

4. Provide a full refund of the cost of my courtside tickets

5. Preserve all materials relating to this incident, including relevant video footage, incident or security reports, communications concerning my attendance or removal, communications referring to my WNBA Draft announcement or public advocacy for women’s sports, and
any applicable policies or event-day directives.”

Freedom is giving them 5 business days to respond.

You don’t need to take a DeLorean up to 88mph to see what the ‘good old days’ of biblical belief are. We’re LIVING in the ‘good old days’.

No, not the megachurch shopping mall flavour of churchianity, rigid bells-and-smells of hidebound tradition, or pray like Che revolutionary activist types. That’s losing the plot. No surprise there: if you’ve read The Book, you already know humanity has a long and rich history of totally missing the point. And that’s even AFTER God puts us back on the rails.

When we say we’re LIVING in the ‘good old days’, we’re talking GOSPEL.

Some people go sifting through the old traditions of Jewish customs to wring out the ‘hidden’ excellence of what Christianity was meant to be.

Really? We’ve got an entire BOOK of the New Testament giving actual chapter-and-verse explaining why what God gave us in Christ is BETTER that what came before. It’s a little like a young squab losing interest in his little RC sportscar the second he’s holding the keys of a brand new Corvette convertible.

Suddenly, that radio-controlled car just ain’t that compelling.

And so it is with Christ and the gospel replacing the spiritual training wheels (or as Paul called it ‘schoolmaster’ or ‘guardian’) that came before it under the Old Testament sacrificial system.

What’s that ‘new Corvette’ look like under the Gospel context?
