The season finale is here. Does Lanterns stick the landing on its story? Yes it does but there's a small caveat and its in the overall telling of the narrative mainly in its "tell but don't show" logic at times.

Digger is conundrum of a film. On one hand the marketing of this movie doesn't give you much to work with to get a read of what its about. Flip side is that its visually intriguing that you end being being curious on wanting to see it. Its definitely a crazy wild ride that has a message that makes you sit with it for awhile

We are getting down the wire as we head into this season finale and Episode 7 gives us not only the buddy cop dynamic of Hal and John but alos further intrigue on what exactly Hal had planned in his backpocket. Definitely a hefty episode.

Your Mother Your Mother isn't quite the Blade film that everyone assumed it was. In fact this movie has more in line with Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai in that its a personal film about overcoming grief and dealing with Latif picking up the pieces of his family life amidst him being a hit man. The action that the movie does have is great and it works in line with the story. But this movie is way more about the drama than action. Its a movie that showcases everybody's talent.

After years of post-production hell, we finally get to see the movie we all been waiting for...I mean, some of us were waiting for. Its time to rip the band-aid off and talk about JDF's last hurrah with Legend of the White Dragon. This is a serious talk because all three of 3BG is here alongside PrimeGundam and Blackwing2040. Just a warning, we're brutal with this one.

Episode 6 represents a story reset coming off the action packed Ep. 5. We finally get the 2026 story kicking off and yet the heavy weight of the previous 4 episodes looms large here. We catch up on what the characters have been up to since the Rushville incident and new mysteries unfold in the process.

This Resident Evil film represents the best way to go about doing an adaptation of a beloved franchise. We have a film that follows an average joe that ends up being in the bioterrorism chaos that is the Raccoon City incident. The movie is instantly relatable in that you're rooting for this guy to make it through all the trials and tribulations he endures. He's figuring things out as you would if you were playing a character in a video game. The scares and horror work very well from start to finish to where you end up wanting more. Definitely a solid film overall.

While on the surface, 'Lights Out' presents itself like a season finale, its really an end to a storyline that gave us a better understanding on what drives Hal Jordan and John Stewart. And at the epicenter of this is two entities: Zoe the Manhunter and Lianna the Guardian. Hal and John's conflict came about due in part to the shady nature of how the Guardians operated. Its through this that this episode gives us a big character moment for John.

Much like with Episode 3, this episode provides even more clarity and progression for both Hal and John to where they end up having a good comradery throughout this endeavor. We get a big reveal on who is the Manhunter and we finally get some time with Sinestro and seeing his relationship with Hal.

Episode 3 of Lanterns provides alot of context for not only John Stewart but for Hal Jordan as well. We see how closely tied together John and Hal truly are as this episode goes into the backstory of John Stewart and how he got to the position to be part of the Green Lantern Corps. 

Its wild too that we are still early in the season and yet we get a much needed episode that ends up making you look at the first two episodes in a different way.

The guys are back talking about three Kamen Rider movies that came out during the Showa Era. In a way they were the prototype for what we got in Kuuga and Agito. At any rate, sit back and listen to the guy talk on these three films and chop it up on the recent news on the Hasbro Power Rangers show being canceled. 

And just like that, Episode 2 of Lanterns ups the ante and in a way addresses some of the complaints folks had in the pilot in that the show wasn't whimsical enough. The plot has gotten more intriguing and has eliminated certain theories from the Ep. 1. Also by the end, Hal and John have finally grown to respect one another even though its still a little uneasy between the two. 2 episodes in and the show it still keeping folks captivated.

Jason Statham bringing the heat again with another simple action banger. This time we see himn having to clear his name by sneaking onto a ship and figuring out a simple conspiracy. Its about what you expect out of a film like this. Nothing crazy, very straightforward. Villains who are smart and effective so Statham has to actually work for his kills. Entertaining film overall.

Lanterns is a new project in the DCU brought to us by Damon Lindelof and Tom King. This first episode sets the tone for what this season may be. We get a mix of mystery and lots of Green Lantern lore as we watch the dynamic of Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Stick around...This show has the makings of greatness

Brand New Day is a culmination of the growth of Peter Parker from the previous 3 Spiderman films. And boy is the pay off so good from the its opening moments. This is a movie that gives you the definitive Spider-Man experience and you see all its inspirations onscreen especially in regards to the recent Playstation games. Solid film top to bottom. A Must Watch!!!

Oooh buddy the guys had a fun time blasting the bullshit that is currently happening in the gaming industry. Its a hot mess and we vent and get our jokes off on these corporate chuckleheads

The Invite is one of those films that sneaks up on you because of how it presents itself upfront. On the surface the film comes off like a standard comedy fare regarding two couples engaging with each other over dinner. But over the course of the film, it slowly starts being about the state of both couples relationships especially the marriage between Rogan and Wilde's characters. The movie goes about it in a very real way thats funny, insightful, and engaging. Definitely a solid watch overall.

Kenji Ohba had a lasting legacy in the tokusatsu world and he will be sorely missed. A man who pioneered the Metal Hero franchise and kicked it off with Space Sheriff Gavan.. Who cemented himself in the Super Sentai genre in Battle Fever J and Denziman and was a very dedicated stunt performer that established a high energy style that we still see to this day. Even outside of the tokusatsu world, he made an impact as a performer being in various films especially in the Kill Bill Franchise. So sit back as CJ and Prime talk about Kenji and watch the Gavan/Gokaiger film.

Supergirl is a drastically different film per the usual superhero fair. Its a movie thats taking a very powerful character and putting her in a very personal story thats still filled with the usual superhero action and adventure that we've seen before. And it ends up working very well by the end of it all.

So Sony came in HOT with the latest State of Play and they are really establishing in wanting folks to continue to invest in their console. CJ and DJ Tsu talk all about the games and get a little nostalgia as well.

Masters of the Universe was in developmental hell for a long time. Its one to develop an animated series surrounding He-Man cause ultimately its a property that started out being made for the sake of selling toys much like alot of cartoons that came out in the 80s. Over the years though, the He-Man lore started gaining traction especially on the comic book side which lent itself to more semi-serious endeavors like the early 2000's Animated series and the recent Netflix show. 

In comes this movie which takes some of the silly aspects of the 80s show and mixes it in with the serious material and gives you a very fun and straightforward movie that is very unapologetic in what it is. Its a film thats very confident with the source material and it shows top to bottom from the performances(especially Jared Leto's Skeletor) to the world of Eternia. This is a movie that comes alive with its energy. Its definitely worth the watch even if you aren't a big He-Man fan.

The Mandalorian and Grogu is a throwback to the classic tried and true simple action/adventure movie where the movie wastes no time in getting you invested in the story. You can easily go into this film not watching the tv show because the movie through its actions tells you all you need to know not only about Mando but also of Grogu and the dynamics between the two. Great set pieces, solid visual effects, and a simple yet engaging story makes for a fun watch from beginning to end.

The Gundam Hathaway movies lowkey ask alot of the audience in terms of understanding its story. By itself, this second movie presumes you not only watched the first film but you also have an understanding of the UC stories particularly the film, Char's Counterattack, which heavily factors into the continuing story of Hathaway Noa. Overall, Sorcery of Nymph Circe is a solid 2nd entry leading into the 3rd act of Hathaway Noa and his mission to take down the Earth Federation. Solid visuals and even the music choices do a great job of immersing you into the story of Hathaway, Kenneth, & GiGi's character progression.

Is God Is comes to us from Aleshea Harris who is taking her stage play of the same name and giving it the movie treatment. Its an excellent throwback to the Grindhouse Revenge flicks and every person in this film brings their A game. You really feel for the twin sisters, Racine & Anaia, as they set about taking revenge at there mom's behest as they navigate there feelings on it. 

Daredevil Born Again has been a surprisingly fun show to watch. A show that took the build up of Matt Murdock's journey from the first season of the Netflix era show to his trajectory of butting heads with Kingpin, this show does a phenomenal job of keeping you invested in whats gonna happen to not only Matt but to his supporting cast. CJ and DJ Tsu talk all about Season 2 of Born Again.

Megaranger is a solid show that really makes you appreciate the ambitious material the show does especially on the visual effects front. On top of that, if you watch Power Rangers in Space, you definitely can love this show for what it is in terms of its theme and the character dynamics. 

MKII hits all the notes of what people wanted out of the first MK film from a few years back. This is a film that gets straight to the point from beginning to end and it works due to the excellent pacing. Its every bit of a love letter to the franchise that will have you wanting more by the end. Definitely worth the watch.

For a movie that had so much potential, Michael ends up being just an "okay" biopic. This is a movie that touches on Michael Jackson as a person but is more concerned with the spectacle that was MJ once the music hits. Its a shame too because you can see the potential that this film could've really been and yet it never hits the highs to really give insight to MJ the person and the relationships he forged along the way that helped him become this iconic figure.

Wonder Man represents a different type of show in that its more concerned with being focused on the personal journey of the character than doing a typical heroes journey. In the grand scheme, its a smart choice. Wonder Man as a character has a very muddled history much like DC's Hawkman. So whats the best way to present the character in a streamlined way? Have the show structured around Simon Williams trying to make it in Hollywood while he's also trying to figure himself out. Pair him up with Trevor Slattery and you got a solid show that does a really good job of being self contained yet lowkey progressing certain aspects of the MCU. Definitely a must watch.

The Moment is a film that wants to be 'This is Spinal Tap' so bad and its unfortunate that the film doesn't hit those entertaining heights that you expect out of a mockumentary. The movie plays into the real life rise of musician Charli XCX. If you're a fan of her then you'll probably enjoy the film for what it is. If you're someone that isn't familiar with her but you're hoping the film would give you an idea of Charli and her music then you're gonna be bored as hell. The film tries to hit you with comedy and drama but it doesn't really stick the landing on it. You end up with a very flat movie overall. 

Sam Raimi has always been a solid director that knows his wheelhouse when it comes to his approach on delivering an entertaining movie. Send Help is a black comedy, horror, thriller film that has some surprising and predictable moments. Rachel McAdams steals the movie from the start and gives you a character that you're invested in seeing come out of the situation the film presents. 

A criminally underrated Kamen Rider sequel that unfortunately got looked over mainly due to it being advertised as a standalone show even though it was part of a live action franchise.

Films based on true stories tend to vary from either super series to light comedic. Dead Man's Wire is a tried and true dark comedy. Based on the 1977 Indianapolis hostage standoff involving Tony Kiritsis, the film does a good job of balancing the seriousness of the situation with the offbeat personality of Tony as a person. Very tense moments and also moments of levity to where you actually empathize with Tony's plight.

In the weirdest of ways, Anaconda works somehow. Take the root idea of what 'Be Kind, Rewind' was and add in a bigger budget and you get this film. Its silly in all the right ways and wrong ways as well yet ends up sticking the landing how you expect it to go. A film thats not really a remake and its also a sequel to the original film at the same time. Given the actors in this film, you can see the jokes coming a mile away. End of the day its a silly movie with some earnest.  Do with that what you will.

Its been awhile but DJ Tsu & CJ are back to talk about the 2025 Video Game Awards, the winners and losers, and what it means for Indie games in this every changing video game industry. We also talk about the upcoming Street Fighter movie teaser that dropped, and other odds & ends.

What happens when you get a film that bucks against the direction you think its going? Thats what Rental Family does. On the surface, you watch a foreigner in Brendan Fraser maneuver around Japan as a working actor trying to make it big through a special job as a companion to various people. Once the movie presents itself very quickly that its not what you think, you end up getting a very heartwarming and honest film but people and feelings. Solid direction, great cinematography, and excellent acting. 

Here we are at the 3rd Avatar film and surprisingly this is a step up from the 2nd film top to bottom. Yes this is a movie that is all about James Cameron flexing his chops at VFX and the movie looks good as hell but same time we get a pretty engaging story with plot points thats been done before. New locations, new characters, and revisiting even old characters from the first film. End of the day, you have a film that is pretty damn entertaining from start to finish.

The Predator franchise has always been consistently entertaining(Barring the 2018 Predator movie which fell short despite some moments). At any rate coming off of Prey, Killer of Killers and even Alien: Romulus & Alien: Earth, it seems like we're heading down the road towards a legit Alien vs Predator movie. But while we're on this road, enter Predator: Badlands which does a solid job of putting you into this established universe with a twist...This time we're following a young Predator who's out to prove himself to his clan. With that setup, we got a film that overall hits all the beats you expect from the Predator franchise even with the PG-13 rating. This is a must watch.

The first film was a lowkey surprise hit that much like the John Wick films captured the over the top insanity from the story to the characters. So here we are with the sequel which does what most sequels do which is give you bigger action and even more insane characters. Yet through all of it, Bob Odenkirk sells you on a guy who, much like Jackie Chan, doesn't want any trouble and wants to just spend time with his family on vacation. 

Spike did what we wanted him to do which is tell a Kurosawa story with Black folk. And he did while really letting the movie ooze in its New Yorkness. The movie overall is a slow burn with a good story and great acting. On its own, its a very good original movie but at the same time it manages to mix in elements from the Kurasawa original film. 

Ultraman Taiga signaled the start of the Reiwa era of Ultraman shows. A sequel to the Ultraman Taro series, we are met with not just one Ultra but 3 Ultras. Fun show overall and Prime and CJ delve into the show and also talk about news around the Toku fandom.

James Gunn's Superman is the type of optimistic movie thats needed. In a period of time where society at large is very cynical all around, we have a movie that is 100% pure wholesome comic book fun. A Superman film that is basically like watching the live action version of the Bruce Timm Superman the Animated Series. This movie keeps you invested from its opening scene all the way to the end of the film. At a brisk 2 hours, you'll come away wanting to see it again and also come back to this brand new DC world that the movie establishes. This is a must see film.

The world of John Wick is ripe full of perfect spinoff material which is the most first world problem to have. Ballerina is one such spinoff that works perfectly because we were already introduced to this world in John Wick 3 due to John's affilation with the Ruska Roma. The character of Eve has a simple plight of revenge and this movie does a phenomenal job of seeing her dish out damage on her revenge tour. More than anything else, this film make you want to see more movies from this world.

F1 is a pure Hollywood sports movie top to bottom. The film gives you enough of a basic understanding of the sport of F1 racing while also serving you the usual Hollywood sports drama and flare. Its worth the watch alone in IMAX cause the racing cinematography is so damn good. Its a must watch.

There's something to be said about how Tom Cruise has kept folks engaged through this 8 movie escapades of Ethan Hunt. And The Final Reckoning hits all the vibes of what you expect out of a Mission Impossible movie. It is PEAK Impossible White Man movie and its so damn good and entertaining.

Definitely don't think anyone saw this movie coming. The first film was good enough in its own way that it told a engaging story but you never came away thinking it would manifest into a franchise. But hey, Hollywood is always trying to franchise every movie so here we are with The Accountant 2. Overall its a fine film but its not the type of film you're rushing to the theater to see. 

Kamen Rider Black RX marked the end of the Showa Era rider shows even with respect to Shin, ZO, and J which came later. In many ways, Black RX was an inspiration of what we would get from future Kamen Rider shows starting with Kamen Rider Kuuga. And also it was an actual sequel series to a previous Kamen Rider season which was a big deal and first for the franchise. At any rate, sit back as CJ and Prime talk about Rider greatness.

So post-Endgame, the concensus with folks on the MCU is that its a mixed bag. Way more often than not, the vibes from folks end up being grossly overexagerrated than need be. Thunderbolts since it was first announced at SDCC, was a big question mark for folks based on the characters that were involved especially later on when the casting for Sentry happened. The trepidation from folks was very understandable. So thankfully and shockingly, Thunderbolts ends up being a damn good movie mainly because it goes 180 from what you'd probably expect from a 3 act MCU film. By films end, you end up caring about the characters and there individual journey's. And while the movie does a good job of expanding the MCU world, it also makes sure to still keep focus on its main story with the characters. Definitely go see this movie especially in IMAX. Its worth it.

Sinners is a movie with grand ambitions and Coogler delivers on it top to bottom. While the advertising might give off big tentpole vibes, the reality is that this film fits in the mid-budget range and it works perfectly. This is a movie that isn't trying throw constant action moments in your face. This is a film that builds up to those action beats to where it feels impactful. You truly end up feeling for what happens to these characters and the decisions they make. Go see this film now!

THEY CLONED TYRONE

Kamen Rider Hibiki stands out amongst the other Kamen Rider shows especially during Heisei Era Rider shows. From the Kamen Rider designs down to the enemies, this show initially stood out as being very unique. But in typical business, the show ended up pivoting into a different direction that was in line with previous rider shows. What you end up with is a show that has two different pathways tonally and a movie that in a way brings the show back into its old form.

A remake of the 1922 film, Nosferatu is a movie that nails horror noir vibes of the original film top the bottom. Bill Skarsgård is unrecognizable as the Count and he really builds on the characters motivations as he's psychically stalks Lily Rose-Depp's character of Ellen. Great cinematography, great performance, brooding music that matches the films vibes. Definitely go see this film.

Ending 2024 with a bang as CJ and Prime talk all about Ultraman Blazar. A show that was a big rollout of Ultraman being simulcast here in the U.S. and Japan. It was a big deal alongside the show being dubbed as well. Fun series overall and a wild summer experience with the movie followup. 

Paramount is battin 3 for 3 on these Sonic films and haven't let up. Director Jeff Fowler really has a good grasp on the world of Sonic the Hedgehog and does a phenominal job of making you care on the plight of the characters. In this instance, he nails everything about Shadow top to bottom. And even past that character, just expanding on the worldbuilding of the first 2 movies is great to watch. Go see this film immediately.

The game has changed in terms of nerd apparel. Much like with AlCombo, Sentai Jackets is another company that is changing the way fans can wear apparel from the toku world. This movie is standard action fare in line with the sort of Direct to Home Video throwback from the 80's/90's. The added bonus is this movie using Kraven as the basis of said action film. While the character in the comics does have lore that you could build a movie on, this film scratches the surface in ways that could've been better. You ultimately get a film that ends up being very middle of the road despite it being the best of the SpiderMan spinoff set of movies. Thank God Sony is ending this.

As far as legacy sequels go, Gladiator 2 isn't too bad. While it doesn't hit the same highs as say Top Gun Maverick, Ridley Scott does in a way play it safe. Not a bad thing per se but same time the film hits the same story beats of the first movie. Denzel ends up stealing this movie top to bottom and he's worth it alone to go see this movie. 

Matt Reeves put out a solid film in The Batman and this Penguin series carries on the drama in Reeves Batman universe. CJ and Anthony talk about the journey of Osward Cobblepott as he seeks to gain a foothold in Gotham and make his presence known.

In the middle of recording we got news of Tony Todd passing away. R.I.P.

Studios greenlit sequels to films all the time especially when the first film is a HUGE success. In practicality, the first Joker movie should never have gotten a sequel especially with how standalone the film was and its ending. But typical of Hollywood, money talks so a sequel was greenlit. This film doesn't do a good job overall of justifying itself for existing despite the great acting, great cinematography, and good music. The story is what sinks this film on top of the juxtoposition of trying to be a musical and drama. 

The sequel to B-Fighter, Kabuto takes place 5 years later and sees the previous cast teaming up with a new group of heroes that are taking on a more brutal group of villains. The guys also go over CJ's Power Morphicon experience and the latest toku news.

So here we are 20+ years later getting a sequel to a movie that for all intents didn't feel like it left itself open to do a franchise. Like yeah the OG movie got a cartoon series but that was to be expected. This movie overall is fine and does the job of getting in and out with its straightforward plot. Everyone in this film came to have fun and Keaton is at the forefront of it playing Beetlejuice and its like he never left. Add on William Defoe stealing the film at time and you got a film thats a good time.

Its been awhile but we're back with the TV recaps and this time CJ & Anthony deep dive into The Acolyte and Star Wars in general because holy crap this show really brought out the nastiness in fandom and really showed the people that actually pay attention to Star Wars and those that don't. 

Apple tv to their credit has put out a good amount of quality movies and television shows. The Instigators is one of those films. Its a simple action, comedy movie that hits on the same beats that we've seen before with some deviations here and there. Also helps that Damon and Affleck have a good comradery and the supporting cast(including Ving Rhames and Ron Perlman) do a great job in the roles. Solid little Sunday afternoon flick that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Alien: Romulus brings the franchise back to its roots after having two prequel films that honestly didn't do a good job of selling folks on the origins of the Aliens. But tbh we really didn't need an origin for Creatures from space. At any rate, Romulus is heavy on the nostalgia and callbacks and yet it does a fantastic job of being its own movie that adds to the Alien franchise lore. Definitely check it out.

As with many character crossover films, this movie is definitely up there with the hype and its been a long time coming. This film lives up to its R-rating and pushes it to the limit. And even with all the crass jokes, this movie still has heart and keeps you engaged with all the shenanigans. Tons of cameos and Easter Eggs that don't overshadow what the movie is doing overall. So yeah go check out this film asap.

Twisters as a film works because while it is a sequel of sorts to the original movie, its a sequel in spirit in that it takes the basic ideas of the first film and expands on it in a way that makes it not feel redundant. Solid cast and great cinematography and vfx. Go watch this in IMAX and 4DX if you can.

Director TI West managed to crack the code in developing a movie trilogy. Maxxxine functions extremely well as a standalone film if you never watch the previous two movies in this saga(X and Pearl). And as the 3rd film in the trilogy, the movie sticks the landing in terms of the overall narrative of the character Maxine. The film nails everything about the 80's so much so that you as the audience get engulfed in the era. Plus also Kevin Bacon steals the movie easily. 

Solid movie overall. Go check it out!

TsuPro is laughing to the bank. Ultraman Rising is a movie that just works on so many levels. Even if you're someone thats never watched Ultraman, this film makes you feel as though you have. Solid voice acting, excellent story, and top notch animation that matches the vibe of what Ultraman truly is. 

I don't think anyone forsaw the Bad Boys franchise reaching a fourth film and being a legitimately good film and yet here we are. Bad Boys 4 much like the 3rd film, plays to the strengths that makes the films fun and entertaining by sticking with what made it work in the very first film. The movie overall doesn't overstay its welcome and it makes the film go at a very tight pace. Definitely go check it out.

The guys are back together to talk all about Godzilla and Kong running it back with another film. The movie was fun as hell from beginning to end and yes you should go check it out in theaters. Lots of spoilers so if you haven't seen it, go watch the movie and then listen to this.

Frozen Empire ends up being a great additon to the Ghostbusters franchise in that it expands on the lore and world building of the franchise without being heavy handed on the nostalgia touches. A great mix of old and new ideas. Definitely check out this film.

What happens when you get a film that just exists and ultimately you end up feeling like it didn't justify itself being made? Thats Kung-Fu Panda 4 in a nutshell. Fundamentally it does its job telling a story from start to finish but you end up feeling like its lacking overall.

This year's Royal Rumble was one that would make you fall in love with Wrestling. We talk about that and Vince McMahon FINALLY being kicked out of WWE. Also it's a week before the Super Bowl. Dee and Cj are PROPHETS with this NFL I tell you.

A movie that follows Malcolm's life in several stages. His rebellious youth in Harlem. Doing coke, running numbers, burning his scalp, doing goon shit with his ace boon and sleeping with white women. The Nigga American Dream! This goes to his time in jail and his awakening under the teachings of Elijah Muhammad. From there we see his leadership in the Nation of Islam and his blossoming love with his future wife Betty Shabazz. But like in all biopic's we see his fall or rather people plot against him.(*cough*ThePatriots*cough*) Especially after his second enlightening while on pilgrimage to Mecca. And then ultimately his tragic death being murdered in front if his family.

So the real question is how did 3BG get through a movie thats this heavy? Easy! Metal Gear references, redpill jokes and constantly dragging white American culture. But seriously it was a pleasure to review this black movie classic. And Denzel Washington got robbed of an Oscar on this.

The Marvels gives you a classic team-up film that overall works very well. Despite the issues from the film its not enough to detract from the quality. The straightforward nature of the film especially with the short run time helps it as well. The Marvels' giving the kind of fun meant to leave you enthusiastic and smiling at the end of an enjoyable ride. So, if you come away from thinking it has a narrative problem, that's a you problem; not an MCU problem.

This was a long time coming but CJ & Prime circle back to MMPR: Once and Always and see if there opinions on this 30th Anniversary special has changed while also chatting on the future of the franchise with Cosmic Fury looming large.

Its a shame that this film is dropping after the excellent Across the Spiderverse because the big flaws of The Flash is front and center mainly in the loose story adaptation of the Flashpoint comic. For a film thats supposed to be this big love letter to the DC movie universe, the film doesn't quite have the epic scope to pull off this feat. 

Gotta admit...Whoever is head of Paramount has a clear vision of what the Transformers franchise can be ever since Bumblebee. Rise of the Beasts continues this clear storytelling with a straightforward narrative, entertaining characters that you care about, and solid action. 

We have finally reached the 10th installment in the Fast franchise and what we get is a film with lots of twists and surprises. For the first time in the franchise our heroes are getting challenged big time by a villain that doesn't let up. And tbh thats a good thing because that part alone represents what this film is from beginning to end. Crazy amounts of action mixed in with the usual melodrama the franchise is known for. 

This movie could've easily been just a self serving commercial for Nike but what you get is an interesting film that hits on a very historical moment for Nike that forever changed the course of the company into the behemoth that it is today. 

James Gunn put his whole ankle into this film. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 manages to do something rare in that it sticks the landing on this film journey that we've gone on with these characters in the MCU. Everything from the visuals to the music to the story is very well done and keeps you engaged to see where its all gonna lead up. Definitely worth the watch in theaters.

It is very hard to have a movie franchise stay consistent while still delivering the goods. The John Wick franchise has managed to accomplish this and John Wick 4 encompasses everything that we've seen from the franchise. The film is a full circle moment that started with the first film and never lets up. The action setpieces are phenomenal, the characters are fun & interesting, the story is simple & engaging, and the cinematography work is fantastic. And with a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes, the film is paced so well that you don't feel the length at all. Definitely go see this film, you won't regret it.

Simplicity is always good especially if its your first time directing a film. Creed 3 marks the directorial debut of Michael B. Jordan who also stars as main character Adonis Creed. What helps MBJ craft a solid and simple film is that he's already been the character the previous 2 times and anime influence meshes well with the sports drama mainly with the story of Adonis and Damien. We've seen this kind of story before and yet it never gets old. Overall definitely worth the watch.
