The monthly Danbury Arts in Action (DAIA) benefit coffeehouse will Feature Grooved Pavement, an acoustic quartet paying homage to the work of Jerry Garcia; from his early work with the Hart Valley Drifters through his iconic roll in the Grateful Dead, Old and in the Wayand this eponymously named band.

Grooved pavement is comprised of Tom Eliason and Ross James on guitars, Dave Lowenadleron on mandolin, and Steve “screaming Cat Flachsbart on fiddle.

AN AFTERNOON OF NETWORKING AND MUSICAL SHARING FOR ALL THOSE WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND MUSIC: EDUCATORS, MUSICIANS, PERFORMERS, ARTS THERAPISTS. LIBRARIANS, PARENTS AND FAMILIES.

Community Drum Circle

Danbury Community Drum Circle is a weekly gathering on Sundays, 5:30-8:30pm. A suggested donation of $5 is requested. Refreshments and food provided.

Gatherings are on hold until further notice. Stay tuned!

We view our drum circle as a celebration of life, community, and music-making in the moment. Our intent is to provide the Danbury community with an effective tool for health and wellness, and a breath of fresh air in our fragmented stressed out world. Our drum circles create a fun, supportive, and a safe environment, and are facilitated by professional musicians who are passionate about bringing this unique tool to you. Our community drum circle is an opportunity to enjoy a group activity with friends and neighbors. It is a family-friendly event and open to all ages. No previous musical or drumming experience is necessary. It’s all about FUN!
