]]>Winnetka Home Renovation Award Winner originally built in the 1950’s.
Our challenge was to transform the home from it’s current condition and add charm, character and create living spaces that would fit our clients’ needs. We changed some structural details and incorporated a unified color palette to give the exterior an elegant, cohesive look. We literally rebuilt the structure on the inside, gutting the framing from 1st floor to the roof rafters in many areas.
Fitted with Marvin windows, it won their Red Diamond Achiever Award, Winnetka Preservation Award and Professional Remodeler Magazine Award. See more about this extensive North Shore design build project.
North Shore Great Room- 2021 Chrysalis Award
The walls that separated the family room, den and dining space were removed to create a beautiful open floor plan which includes an office niche. A new vaulted ceiling adds to the spaciousness of the room and a wall of windows give an outdoor feel with natural light streaming in. Learn more about this North Shore design build project.
A new sunroom added to this Wilmette home
The architectural beauty of this sunroom addition in Wilmette shines both inside and out. Precision millwork forms the octagonal shaped ceiling inside, while a decorative glass cupola adds to character to the space outside. An abundance of natural light comes in from all directions making it a restful retreat with views to the environment.

]]>We invite clients to choose their wood, door style and custom color or stain. Prior to finishing, our cabinet shop assembles the cabinets with appliances fitted and “staged” in our Evanston cabinet shop. This special offering allows the homeowner to view their project before it is installed.
After our clients approve the project, the cabinets are finished and installed by our master carpenters.
Evanston Kitchen Seamlessly Connects to Living Space
We “staged” the kitchen cabinet layout in our Evanston cabinet shop before completing the finish work as seen below. The custom media wall with built-in bookshelves matches the kitchen cabinetry.

Our client chose a mix of light and dark stained woods with a transitional style cabinet design. We custom paneled a large built in wine refrigerator which flanks the home bar for a great home entertaining feature. The result is a beautiful, highly functional kitchen. Our Northfield client desired a layout to accommodate more than 1 chef. Our custom cabinetry enabled appliance placement and storage geared to his particular working style.
Northfield Kitchen Before
We included multiple storage features in the kitchen island to increase the ease of this highly functional kitchen.
Our cabinet shop crafted a handy knife drawer.
We accommodated our client’s working style by including a spice and prep bowl drawer.
Another feature we incorporated into the hardworking kitchen island was the paper towel holder which is tucked into the corner.

For this Wilmette basement renovation we transformed an underused living space into a comfortable area to relax and entertain. Our designers created a custom media center with hidden storage to also house the large TV. We incorporated an elegant home bar with a full size storage cabinet and wine refrigerator. The glass paneled cabinetry beautifully displays barware and the stone finishes add to the elegant aesthetic. A recessed wall fireplace and comfortable seating provide a cozy atmosphere all year round.
Pub-Like Bar in Kenilworth Basement Renovation
We designed this North Shore home bar-rec room to have a pub-like atmosphere. The custom alder wood wall panels and cabinetry provide a rich feel. The classic bar top and rail were given a glossy finish which adds to the over all pub look. See more of this Kenilworth basement renovation.
Childrens’ Playroom in Chicago Basement Renovation
Part of a whole house renovation, is the large childrens’ playroom in the basement. The original lower level had all the amenities an adult family would want but lacked a space for young children. The custom media center accommodates an oversize TV and has display shelves and closed cabinetry for extra storage.
Home Bar Seating for a Crowd
We took advantage of the expansive space in this lower lever to create a large bar which can accommodate a sizeable number of guests. Our craftsmen created the bar and cabinetry from Alder and used an espresso/walnut stain. This elegant lower level recreational space will be a fun place to gather for years to come.
