Streamlined Installation

Plus, if you’re upgrading from G3X Touch, AXIS displays use most of your existing sensors and components. And while they provide even more display area, they share the same panel cutout and screw points, offering a more cost-efficient upgrade path for your aircraft.
Industry First
The headline is an industry first: on the 11.6-inch display, Garmin has built the IFR GPS, NAV/COMM radio, and audio panel into the display itself. One unit does the job that previously took a display plus a separate navigator, radio, and audio panel in the stack. The practical consequences of that integration are the real story: less equipment in the panel, lower installed weight, and a simpler, more cost-effective installation. For an owner planning a panel upgrade, fewer boxes and less wiring is a meaningful saving in both money and downtime.

These digital, state-of-the-art, remote-mount DME radios are designed to provide slant distance information on select Garmin flight decks and displays.
Both products can allow pilots to track two separate DMEs simultaneously. Compatible Garmin avionics can also automatically scan and tune up to three additional DME frequencies.
The GDM 450R is designed for Part 23 General Aviation aircraft, while the GDM 4500 includes additional environmental hardening and interfaces for turbine aircraft and helicopters. Either product offers a cost-effective way to add or upgrade DME capabilities on many popular aircraft.



GDM 4500 for Turbine Aircraft and Helicopters
Designed specifically for turbine aircraft and helicopters, the GDM 4500 meets higher qualification levels and is environmentally hardened. Along with Garmin integrated flight decks and TXi displays, it is also compatible with select third party systems, enabled by ARINC 429 support. The Free Scan capability and DME-DME navigation capability come standard with the GDM 4500 as supported by a compatible FMS.
GDM 450R for Part 23 General Aviation Aircraft
The GDM 450R can display distance information on select Garmin integrated flight decks, as well as TXi Flight Displays. Up to two separate DME frequencies can be tuned by the pilot via the navigation radios, providing slant-range distance relative to DME ground stations. For additional flexibility, the DME hold capability maintains the active DME distance indication when tuning the associated NAV radio to a different frequency. With an optional enablement, compatible Garmin avionics can automatically scan and tune up to three additional DME frequencies.
Pilots can leverage this multi-channel capability for DME-DME Area Navigation (RNAV), using distance calculations from two or more DME ground stations to determine the aircraft’s position for RNAV routes. Additionally, the Free Scan Capability allows the system to search for DMEs in range. For integration with legacy distance indicators and navigation radios, GDM 450R also supports legacy databus connections.

Garmin is pleased to announce the launch of new 12.1-inch display size in the TXi family of flight displays for piston, turboprop, and jet aircraft.
The new display joins the existing 10.6-inch, 7-inch portrait and 7-inch landscape flight displays for G500 TXi and G600 TXi systems.
This additional display size increases the already versatile lineup of TXi upgrade possibilities, which deliver advanced PFD/MFD/EIS capabilities and provide an all Garmin retrofit path for hundreds of aircraft models.
The 12.1-inch touchscreen provides a 33% larger active display area, while the thin bezel design keeps the overall unit width the same when compared to the 10.6-inch model.
The new display matches the design of the TXi and GTN Xi navigator families and comes in both black and gray variants, allowing customers to design a comprehensive panel with a cohesive look and feel.

Larger indications and touchpoints provide improved readability for pilots, as well as easier touchscreen interactions.
Additionally, the larger display provides more visible vertical map distance at equivalent zoom ranges as well as an increased HSI map size and chart displays, without impacting the screen layouts.
A single 12.1-inch display can be set for either PFD, MFD, or PFD/MFD functionality with an optional engine indication system (EIS) strip.
Like the rest of the TXi family, the 12.1-inch TXi flight display features a bright, sunlight readable, high-resolution LCD touchscreen display. Powerful dual-core processors boost the system’s graphical capabilities – with swift zooming, panning and map rendering. Pilots can easily access display functions with touchscreen inputs or via the familiar concentric knobs.

TXi Flight Displays allow aircraft owners and operators to replace maintenance-prone mechanical gyros with reliable solid-state attitude heading reference system sensors. These digital systems can reduce lifecycle costs and improve dispatch reliability while also offering weight savings. By incorporating TXi engine monitoring, pilots can more easily see and analyze critical engine, fuel and electrical parameters to help maintain the best, most efficient performance from their aircraft. Extensive integration capabilities with Garmin systems and select third-party systems enable TXi flight displays to provide a simplified, feature-rich upgrade.

Garmin is pleased to announce the GTR 205 and GNC 215, our next generation of COMM and NAV/COMM radios.
Designed for both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, the GTR 205 and GNC 215 are versatile radios that can serve in a variety of aircraft types and panel installations.
The 1.3-inch height form factor matches previous-generation SL30 and SL40 radios, enabling easier upgrades and creating more room in space constrained panels. Pilot-selectable 25 kHz or 8.33 kHz channel spacing provides global capability. Both radios feature a sunlight-readable color LCD display, indicating the currently tuned active and standby frequencies, as well as their station ID – such as “KOJC TWR” or “KSLE ATIS”1. The vibrant display as well as the dual concentric knob and backlit keys mimic those found on other modern Garmin avionics products, providing an intuitive user interface and simplifying product operation.
Adding advanced communication capabilities to any panel, the GTR 205 is an optimized and cost-effective solution. The 2,280-channel capable VHF COMM radio comes standard with 10 watts of power, and a 16 watt option is also available. For operators requiring NVIS compatibility, there is an option for that as well. Additionally, pilots can monitor a standby COMM frequency while tuned to the active frequency, allowing them to perform various tasks such as listening to ATIS transmissions without leaving the active ATC frequency.

The worldwide frequency database makes it convenient to find frequencies by searching an airport identifier. Frequency memory and instant recall make tuning to the most often or recently used frequencies quick and efficient, plus holding down the volume knob will quick-tune to the emergency channel 121.5. To assist with approaches, holds or other assigned maneuvers, the GTR 205 includes a built-in timer, with the option to count up or count down.
The GNC 215 NAV/COMM radio offers all the same COMM features as the GTR 205, while also adding full VHF navigation capabilities, including VOR/ILS with localizer and glideslope. Navaid lookup allows the GNC 215 to find the desired frequency from its built-in worldwide database when entering a navaid, and the Automatic Station ID feature will automatically decode a station’s Morse code to provide positive visual identification.
The GNC 215 also has the ability to monitor the standby VOR frequency while displaying the received radial and features a supplemental CDI display for a VOR or localizer. These NAV/COMM products interface with most CDI, HSI and autopilot systems, as well as most Garmin flight displays to show the Nav indicators in the primary field of view.
Both the GTR 205 and GNC 215, offering advanced communication and navigation capabilities, are available for order now from Amka Aviation.

The G1000® NXi flight deck is now available for integration with the Blackhawk Aerospace XP67A Engine+ Upgrade for the King Air 300 and King Air 350, adding a significant benefit to those looking to maximize these aircraft. Additionally, Garmin has expanded its Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval to now include King Air 350 aircraft with a max gross weight of 16,500 lbs.1, bringing the enhanced capability to operators looking to maximize payload and efficiency.
The Blackhawk Aerospace XP67A Engine+ Upgrade for the King Air 300 includes two factory-new Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67A engines and Hartzell 5-bladed composite propellers, combined to deliver maximum cruise speeds as high as 343 knots true airspeed with an initial rate of climb up to 4,000 feet per minute. This performance increase results in only 19 minutes to climb from sea-level to flight-level 350 – half the time compared to a King Air 300 without this upgrade. The XP67A Engine+ Upgrade is available via the Blackhawk Aerospace Dealer network.
King Air 350 owners and operators can also take advantage of enhanced payload capabilities via the G1000 NXi approval and integration with Textron Aviation’s increased gross weight STC. The increased gross weight STC is available from Textron Aviation and requires software enablement for G1000 NXi applications. This STC applies to B300 aircraft, serial number FL-584 through FL-1030 (excluding FL-954 and FL-1010), and B300C serial number FM-25 through FM-65. It is also compatible with production Textron B300 and B300C Heavyweight aircraft.


The GNS to GTN Xi upgrade programme offers credit toward the purchase of a new GTN 650Xi or GTN 750Xi series touchscreen navigator with a qualifying trade-in (to Garmin) of a GNS 430/530 series or GNS 430W/530W series navigator. Additionally, all trade-ins will receive a free Flight Stream 510 and a free year of databases (via OnePak or International PilotPak)!
Returns must include the original installation rack and backplate and be functional and flightworthy to be eligible for the trade-in credit.
