Having an over supply of anything makes it worthless. Without properly reducing crime, these houses will only reduce the value of existing homes, then the only option left is to rent them out to section 8.

Reduce crime, increase jobs, increase restaurant options, increase quality shopping, improve on existing homes and infrastructure (ie schools) and you have a winning combination for increased quality of life and home values in Antioch.

Building more homes without the rest of the recipe will end in disaster.
