Hello,

Thanks a lot for your comments on the Planar 3 plus Exact cartridge. I have the Planar 3 with the Elys 2 and am considering upgrading it with the Exact. Is there a big and noticeable difference between both cartridges? In the medium term however, my aim is to move towards the Planar 6 with the Ania MC cartridge. The rest of my set up comprises a Rega Elicit amplifier and a Rega Apollo CD player as well as Spica TC 60 speakers.

It’s a mystery to me – I’m seeing the same issues with Ziggy, there seems to be a number of different label configurations and discogs is only catching up to them.

It seems as though their was three (excluding promo version) 1972 pressings at least.
I have the same as yours, also a no Mainman with the 4mm spine overlap and the Mainman version with the 4mm overlap. Are these all the 72 Aus pressings? It also seems the 72 Mainman is commanding more $ on discogs than the first no Mainman press.

The last copy that sold on discogs was $199 . Another sold last year for $140. You rarely see it for sale which obviously adds value. If you ever want to part with it can you please contact me . I would pay up to $300 for it. My email is

Is it a US or UK release or Australian? I just found out there’s a yellow label Oz 1st on Fontana (according to Discogs).
Price would depend on condition of the sleeve & disc and also where you are located.
