While Spring is coming to an end in about 30 days, the London weather is still unpredictable some days it’s sunny, some are rainy. Overall temperature, are still a bit cold especially in the morning. For this reason I wanted to share 3 of my fashion must-haves for the remaining couple weeks of uncertain weather.

Rule 1: a cardigan is non-negotiable.
It’s part of my survival kit for the mornings where I cycle to work and think that because the sun is out, the weather will be warm. Or maybe it’s because I’m now 30 and once you reach this age a free cardigan is giving to you. Anyway, for me it has now become a staple for my spring wardrobe even more that I work from home more often, so it helps me look business ready even if I’m wearing the most awful pants and t-shirt.
The other advantage is that it makes any basic outfit look expensive!
I recently bought a couple of cotton-blend cardigans from Uniqlo on Vinted for a less than 10 pounds each.

Rule 2: A leather jacket or trench coat, you’ll need.
One statement outerwear piece that makes you look like you planned the outfit, even if you didn’t. Any bad outfits can be hidden under a long trench. My one and only trench coat for the past 5 years is a vintage piece from Burberry that I bought in a thrift shop in Paris. The best 200-something euros I’ve ever spent in fashion. No regret whatsoever.

Rule 3: one colourful bag to bring the joy back.
If there’s one accessory that needs to be colourful in my outft it always start with my bag!
That’s my little fashion “fun touch”, when I’m not wearing any colour or to just lift up my mood and summon the sun. To be fair, that has been my motto when buying bags for a while, I probably own only one or two black bags, the rest are bags or colour.

I went to see “Eternity” last Saturday and cried at the cinema for the first time in a very long time.

If you know me or have read any of my movie reviews on this blog, I am a sucker for rom-coms. I love happy endings, feel-good movies, anything that’s about love, I just love, LOVE.
So it is without surprise that on Saturday, I decided to use my last Everyman Cinema voucher to go see Eternity (film by David Freyne).

Movie plot

After someone dies, they wake up as the happiest version of themselves on a train en route to The Junction, a place where they have one week to choose between a multitude of afterlives, where they’ll spend their eternity. They’re matched up with an Afterlife Coordinator (AC), who’ll guide them throughout the decision process.
In ‘Eternity’, Larry Cutler (Miles Teller) dies unexpectedly and ends up in The Junction. He has a week to figure out where he wants to spend his afterlife, but he also needs to consider where his wife, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen), would like to spend eternity. After a week, he’s reunited with his wife, Joan, at The Junction, but she’s also reunited with someone else … Luke (Callum Turner), her first husband, who died in his early 20s in the war.
This is where the dilemma lies for this trio: who’s Joan going to spend Eternity with and where?
Who is she going to choose? The dreamy first husband, whose life was taken way too early and whom she still loved all her life, or the man with whom she shared 67 years of love, grew a wonderful family with her and created a life that she loved.

My opinion

After watching the trailer, I thought that if I were in Joan’s shoes, I’d probably choose my young long-lost husband who waited for me for 67 years instead of the husband with whom I spent 65 years of my life. Would this decision be 80% based on the fact that Luke is a 12/10? Totally, I am vain! (Joking! or partially). While watching the movie, I realised that even if one part of Joan waited all her life to be reunited with Luke, she also spent 65 wonderful years with Larry, and nothing can erase this.
This is why you see her so conflicted about her choice. Indeed, she woke up to a younger version of herself, but on the inside, she’s Joan, who died with 80 years’ worth of memories.

What do I like about this movie?

I took from this movie to lessons:

1) Lesson about Living Your Life.
When you wake up on the afterlife train, you wake up as yourself at the age you were happiest.
This made me wonder, if I already lived through the happiest time of my life, or if the best has yet to come? I hope the latter, but I don’t think I’d be too sad if it wasn’t the case. It may sound a little cynical, but in the past couple of years, I’ve really been trying to live life to the fullest. Even if some periods were not great, I try to focus on the positive moments within these years.
If you delve into the subject, the question that you need to ask yourself is: “How can I ensure I am living my life to the fullest without constantly thinking that I’m missing something?” Sometimes we’re too preoccupied with chasing the next high or reliving past moments that we might end up missing the happiest times of our lives.

2) Lesson about Choices.
When it comes to choosing between different options, I’m the worst! I’m incredibly indecisive, a true Libra! I wish we could live in a Marvel Universe, where we have the possibility to live in different realities and see what happens in these other universes. I’d love to know where Noémie, who didn’t end up going to London, ended up, and what she is doing? I’d love to see that!
That’s why I wouldn’t want to be in Joan’s shoes – it would be an impossible choice for me. Like her, I sometimes get so drawn to the past that I choose it for comfort, or to imagine what could have been, instead of focusing on what I’ve already lived or what could still happen.

What’s my final opinion on the movie?

I really enjoyed the movie – so much that I ended up crying because you know, LOVE is beautiful. However, I thought that it was slightly too long or that the movie repeated itself at some point. We got stuck in a sort of storyline limbo for a good 30 minutes until the epilogue. I wouldn’t say that the ending needed to come straight away, but it could have been planned a bit better.
The best description would be that we were going up on the roller coaster, almost reached the perfect ending, then went back down for a long time before the rhythm picked up again.

I’d give the movie an 8/10 – it’s a feel-good movie, a rom-com as I love them, even if there were some down times that I didn’t like. I also really enjoyed the trio we had on-screen; they had a great alchemy, and Elizabeth Olsen’s role reminded me of one of her characters in the early episodes of WandaVision. I actually prefer her in comedic space rather than as Scarlet Witch (even if she’s my favourite superhero). The two husbands, Miles Teller and Callum Turner, were perfectly cast; one is a not-so-perfect, but who would totally get husband of the year award. The other one is a Calvin Klein model who’s perfect (or almost) on every plan. If we add the two charming Afterlife Coordinators, we have the perfect main cast.

I’d totally recommend seeing ‘Eternity’, a movie that touches on love, life, and death with comedy and subtlety. A feel-good bubble that is much-needed!

Have you seen the movie? If you haven’t, would you go to see it?
A movie by David Freyne, starring Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner.

Blogmas are back?! Aboutnoemiel is back?! What’s happening?

I’ve recently re-read this blog post I wrote six years ago, in which I explained my feelings about the changes in the blogging scene, made blogs redundant to the profit of social media apps.
Interestingly, it seems that blogs, Substacks, Medium, and other platforms have been gaining in popularity recently. People are looking for more authentic content and turning to written content instead of video. This means that we’re back on my favourite playground!

Why am I back?  Like in that blog post, there are still a million reasons why I haven’t been able to  fully commit to the blog these last few years, despite missing it so much. My life is a constant stream of things to do, and lately I learned the hard way that I need to take the time to stop and rest! I realise that I haven’t been able to spend time with myself doing activities that I really enjoy, because I was too busy trying to uphold my 1000 commitments. (I do not regret doing upholding these commitments, but sometimes I do tend to forgive myself).
At the end of November, I had a week off from work, and spend most of my time getting back in touch with my creative side through the blog, working on projects I had left untouched for over a year, going to the gym or just enjoying London. This is when I realise that I need to make time and put in the effort to do things I enjoy, like blogging. This is why I thought maybe I should bring back Blogmas this year!

At first, I thought I’d have time to write the 24 posts for Blogmas, but the truth is that in the past I had written 24 blogmas posts and ended up being burned out and bored out of blogging. Thus, 12 posts felt more realistic, which is what i’ll try to do writing from today until the 25th, including – because I’ll have a surprise project ready for you, by this date (fingers crossed).

Back to my old blog post, 6 years ago, I wrote that the 3 reasons why I’ll always keep a blog and why I think they’ll remain relevant:
1) content that lasts
2) bored with reading long Instagram captions
3) more intimacy on a blog – more space to write your feelings and thoughts
Do I still feel the same? Yes, for the most part!

1) Blogs, written posts are still a medium that can be easily consumed years after.
You’re reading someone who has probably more than 1000 videos across Titkok and Instagram saved, 2000 plus posts published across both media.

Still, I spend more time revisiting the content I’ve published on my blog rather than on these platforms. There’s a sense that articles will always be available in the future, while videos will always be replaced by the next viral one. It’s sometimes hard to feel like my video content, at least the short format ones, will make any lasting impacts or be remembered. While for my posts I have more hope that someone will revisit them as I do … I’m still
surprised when the movie review I wrote of Hacksaw Ridge pops up in my analytics as my most read post of the month.

Maybe the lack of lasting content on Instagram, Tiktok or Youtube shorts is due to the fact that if your post is not successful after an hour or 24h, the algorithm pushes it down and puts it in the content abysses. Whereas a blog post can gain bigger traction long after it was posted and doesn’t rely on immediate success.
Another point about blog posts being content that lasts longer than on certain social media apps is the fact that you’re not at the mercy of a website owner to keep your content alive (cc. Tiktok disappearing). Unless OVH goes bust (and even then), and as long as I will be paying for my web hosting services, this blog will remain alive on my term. That’s something that’s never negligeable, espeically if creating content online is your source of income!

2) I can’t say that I am still bored reading long Instagram captions, as now they’ve sometimes become more informative than they were in the past, especially since the algorithm gives advantages to longer descriptions…. But do I remember a third of the long captions I’ve read over the last 12 months? Not really, did I enjoy them at the moment? Totally. Will I still write long captions for my audience? Yes, because these are feelings that I want to share at the time and will probably resonate for a couple of days with my audience. However, I do put more intention when reading blog posts; thus, I’m more susceptible to remembering them or going back to them in the future.

3) More intimacy? I still believe so, I feel like this is still my safe place where I can write whatever I want without feeling judged and without the need to have a perfect creative output. Weirdly, I also believe that blogging feels more intimate because you don’t really realise how many people who write to immediately. It could be weeks until you look at the comments or views, thus you sometimes feel like you write to a small audience. Writing can also feel less performative; you do not need to put on a show for people to enjoy what you’ve written.

Additionally, someone on Twitter said that Substack and blogs will be even bigger in 2026, because people want more authenticity, fewer ads on the platforms they consume every day.
Is this realistic? I remember the period where blogs were generating as much money than what Tiktok, Youtube or Instagram is generating for creators today. For this reason, I do believe that we will naturally go back to the capitalism stage for blogs, but at least everyone’s attention span will have increased by at least 1minute at that point. Joke?

Ultimately, I believe  the reason why I love writing so much is that I can be my authentic self, I don’t have to overthink, I let words come as they want and then restructure my thoughts, but they don’t have to go through the multiple layers of filters I put in place when I talk. Maybe I love writing better because I can also hide behind my words; I can be semi-anonymous to the reader. It feels good to be kind of anonymous, like the pictures of me in this post that I took last year at the Vogue Inventing Runway exhibition.

Hi there,

Two blog posts in a few weeks – what’s happening to me :o … Nothing really, just feeling a bit more motivated at the moment!

Anyways …

I am back with two summer looks! I know it will come to an end soon, but September always have a way to surprise us by becoming one of our best (unofficial) summer month.
For today’s post I’m sharing outfits in which I incorporated a touch of colour. I feel that recently summer looks have become very neutral, we’re not getting from brands clothes with the bright colours like we used to back in the good old days (love talking like an old lady!). Also, people do not try to play with colour as much as we used to (Is everyone super sad??).
So here’s my two cents to the fashion community to help you create looks that use a neutral base (white), but also have of bit of punch to it.

#1 The tennis city girl

I bought this A-line skirt from Asos Design last year. I really like it but to be fair, it didn’t look as mini on the model as it does on me. I sometimes do wonder if we’re not buying to two different version of a product on Asos … anyway love the skirt and the sportsy look it gives. The top is an oldie from Zara, I absolutely have no memories as to where and when I bought it, I just remember that it must have been a sale item because I tried to find a size up and couldn’t. The colour was so perfect that I didn’t want to leave it in the store so I ended up buying it (unfortunately this is the story of a lot of my clothes … – to my biggest pleasure, not my bank account’s).

#2 Loving you was red

Red has been the colour of the season since last autum, so it’s only appropriate that I make it the perfect colour for summer as well, right?

The skirt is an oldie, but goodie from Asos and the ribbed top is from NA-KD. I feel like the turtle neck top kinds of elevated the style of this top and makes it less casual. It’s probably why it’s one of my favourite “tank” top to wear to work with a blazer it’s the perfect combination.

What do you think of these two looks :)?

Hi There! This blog post is long due since this trip to Greece dates from June 2021. YES, 2021! What happened? Well, I had a busy trip, then moved country, started a new job with many activities and so on. I’ve finally edited all the videos related to this trip that you can now find on my youtube channel. Despite this trip being almost three years old, I still have vivid memories of the places I’ve been to and the emotions I was going through. I honestly thought that it wouldn’t be a good idea to share this content after such a long time, however, I realized that foremost I was doing it for myself (and also to empty my computer and iPhone storage).

Okay, so Greek Islands hopping – In this post, I will share with you, which islands to visit, where to stay, what to visit and where to eat. But also, share my budget. It’s going to be a long one, so be ready.

My budget

As mentioned in the vlogs, I did this trip after quitting my job and while waiting for a new one. This trip was supposed to be a parenthesis in my life during which I would spare no expense (and I did) and just enjoy to the maximum, as I knew I would not be able to enjoy this much time off before a long time (and it’s true).

Budget: 3,000 EUR (transport, accommodation, food and activities)
Duration: 17 days
Month: June 2021

Please remember, that this was a post/during covid trip, which means that some of the prices might have been lower than usual to attract more tourists and in a world without crazy inflation.
Itinerary: Athens –  Heraklion – Santorini – Milos – Athens

Athens #VLOG

Duration: 5 days

I decided to start my trip here because it was a city I had already visited a few years before, it felt easier to have it as a base in the country, as I was traveling on my own.

I stayed at the Selina Athens Theatrou hostel – the hostel itself was nice and had a rooftop (not accessible during covid, unfortunately). I’d say that the neighbourhood wasn’t the nicest, but I’ve found one of my favourite restaurant there.
In my vlogs in Athens, you won’t see me do a lot of the usual touristic places as I had already done them during my first visit in the city. I’ll still include them in this blog post so you don’t miss them (in italics).

Cultural Visit/Parks:

Pedion tou Areos (Field of Ares)
Strefi Hill
Ancient Agora of Athens
Anafiotika
Lycabettus Hill
Kerameikos
Philopappos Hill
Stavros Niarchos Park
Monastiraki Square
Roman Agora
Parthenon
Hadrian’s Library
Monument to the Uknown Soldier
Acropolis of Athens
Athens National Garden
Temple of Zeus

Restaurant/Brunch:
Vegan Beat
Kiouzin
Karamanlidika
Bairaktaris Central

Bars/Rooftop:
Couleur Locale
Ellyz Café
MS Rooftop
360 Rooftop
Carpo Coffee

Heraklion #VLOG

Duration: 3 days

I was mostly there for my friend’s wedding so I didn’t do a lot of tourism. Still, here’s the list of the few sites I in this city.

Grave of Níkos Kazantzákis
Koules Fortress
Agios Minas Cathedral
Kastella Seafood Restaurant

Last year I went back to Crete and spent more time on the island, I’ll write a post summarizing what can be done on the island soon.

Santorini #VLOG

Duration: 4 days

By far the most expensive destination of this trip, but also the most interesting. I had plenty of expectations with this island. Even with the covid restrictions it was the busiest part of my trip, I felt that the crowd was already huge for sunset watching so I don’t want to wonder what they look like now that normal travel resumed.

Thira was my base on the Island and I stayed at the Bedspot Hostel. It’s a super cute hostel with a lovely terrace to watch the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. I’ve also done the wonderful Fira – Oia hike, my first hike ever (the last one as well ^^) and WHAT A VIEW. Everytime I look back at the images of this trail, I just want to go back on the island. It was worth absolutely every step and suffering – please what the vlog to understand my feeling.

I didn’t visit anything in particular on the island, I mostly wander around the streets, tried to get the best views of the sea, have a look at the beautiful monument. I would just open google maps and tap on a random momument and go there.

Restaurant/Brunch:
Pitogyros Traditional Grill House
Rastoni Concept
Lucky’s Slovaki
Oia Gefsis
Volkan on the Rocks

Bars/Rooftop:
Sellada Beach
Volkan on the Rocks
PK Cocktail Bar

Milos #VLOG

Duration: 5 days

First of all, I’d like to stay that I will never never ever going to shut up about how much I loved my stay on the island. This island is just amazing and I wish I had pockets large enough to spend all my summer there. I do believe that my love for the island is also due to the amazing boat trip I done there and allowed me to discover the riches of Milos from another point of view. The island is walkable if you like to walk a lot, so renting a car is the best option (bus system is not entirely reliable). The eastern part of the island is only accessible with 4×4, as it is uninhabited, which is the reason why most boat tours are concerning this part of the island and also it’s the best way to see what there is.

Boat tour:

Horizons Yachts

Beaches/Cultural visit:
Firiplaka beach
Papafragas cave
Archaeological Museum of Milos
Sarakiniko Beach
Catacombs of Milos
Venitian Castle

Restaurant/Brunch:
Astakas Cafe restaurant
Flisvos

Bars/Rooftop:
Aragosta Cocktail bar
Artemis bar

Athens

Duration: 2 days

This time I stayed at the Metis Athens Suite hotel which had a wonderful view of the Acropolis (I booked the rooftop room).

Places I went to:
– Ciel Athens
– GES shoes (for amazing leather shoes)
– Ble Papagalos

Hello There! It’s been a long while … but happy to be back.

For this first post of the year, I’ve decided to come back with some outfits.
Lately, I’ve been intensively sharing outfits on TikTok and Instagram and I think it is my favourite content to create. I’ve been feeling inspired to create more content and let go of my high standards by realizing that I don’t need to post fancy outfits all the time. Everyday ‘fits can perfectly do the job! Surprisingly it did pick up well and I finally reached my 3K goal on the platform and I hope to grow even more this year.

Let’s pick up our story again, following that little digression …
With temperatures rising up and down over the next few weeks, I wanted to share three looks that are great for this period. All these looks were styled with my chunky boots from Dune London, unfortunately, they’re out of stock but you’ll find plenty of similar models on the website.

  1. Sweater dress by NA-KD

Sweater Dress by NA-KD

This is one of my favourite purchases of 2023. The most comfortable dress and such an easy item to wear, I always style it with a belt to give the outfit a bit of structure.

    2. Long-sleeved sweater and silk dress.

My favourite way of wearing my summer dresses in colder times – is a sweater, and chunky boots ‘et le tour est joué’. The long-sleeved sweater is from Zara, I’ve had it for a few years now (and I also own it in cream). It’s the basic winter item you need to have in your wardrobe.
Unfortunately, the silk midi dress is not available on the UK website anymore. I’ve found similar versions: X and X.

This was a hilarious outfit to shoot because I was right in the direction of the wind and couldn’t get my hair to stand still for a minute. At least, the dress looked way better with the wind flowing through it.

    3. Skort and blazer.

This is my “It feels like summer, but it’s not summer yet”. Zara skorts are one of the best clothes items they’ve released in a while. The fabric is quite thick so it works well for both warmer and colder days, it has the perfect front length for a mini-skirt style, unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the back … just that you shouldn’t feel shy when wearing it ;).

Basic white tee
Leather jacket  – NAKD similar X and X

Which looks is your favourite one?
Quelle est votre tenue préférée ?

Hello Peeps! It’s been more than a year since I last came here to talk to you. It does feel a bit weird to write here. Since my last post a lot of things have changed. I resigned from my job in Paris, moved back home for two weeks, went on a “Eat, Pray,Love” to Greece, saw two friends getting married, went back to London, joined a softball team … Well a lot of things changed. Sometimes, I wish that I had shared these moments on the blog. I’ve actually taken a lot of blog content, but unfortunately never had/never took (circle the right answer) to post it.

I went to New York, a month ago and this was easily one of the best trips of my life. I was so thankful I got to go there because of work. This one week, felt short but also full of adventures. Weirdly or not, New York felt very familiar like a place where my heart had already been or where I belonged, I don’t know. It’s the same feeling I had when I first came to London. I just hope it doesn’t mean that I have to move country again!
This déjà-vu feeling must have come from all the TV shows, I watched through the years set in The Big Apple. I was so happy when I could recognize some of the places I walked by from the show I used to watch. My eyes were big open and shining all the time.

I really enjoyed being there and I might have already planned a second visit to this lovely city. Hopefully, this time I’ll have more time to visit, my dear Soho (you have my heart) and Brooklyn.
In the coming weeks, I’ll post all my favourite food and drinks addresses and places to visit, if you’re there for a short period of time and want to make the most of it.

The reason why I am back on the blog, today, is that I wanted to share a Spring/Summer look with you. This beautiful pleated dress comes from NA-KD. I got it a few months ago through a collaboration with the brand. I feel like this is my perfect Spring/Summer dress. The colour is perfect for the season, the fabric is very light, you can wear it for different occasions and it’s pleated!! You know how much I love pleated items, right?

I wore this dress while I was biking around Central Park. It’s definitely not the recommended length of the dress to wear for this kind of activity, but I least I cycled with style. I paired this dress, with a cute half-moon bag from Primark. I’m pretty sure it is a dupe for a famous bag, but I cannot seem to remember where I’ve seen it before. Sneakers are my from Converse, my all-time fav shoes. I have to admit that the platform Converse are the worst one to walk. I don’t like the weird feeling I get while walking with them.

Hi there! Spring has sprung and this is my second post of the month! Yes, miracles do happen.

On a more serious note, spring is finally here and its sun has already given me back my good mood. I do believe that I’m prone to seasonal sadness (depression would be too much) and winter hits always hard on my mood, especially in a pandemic.

For this first spring outfit on my blog, I have decided to go for a more chic outfit as a celebration of this new season. I know it’s not a colourful outfit as I went for a black and white colour code. However, I can justify this by saying that we’re still at the beginning of this season and as we say “Till April’s dead, change not a thread“. In other words, it means do not go out in a mini dress and flips flops yet.

grey sweater, satin blouse, leather black shorts, knee-high bootsSweater: ZaraSatined Blouse: ZaraShorts: Zara Boots: Truffle Collection (via ASOS) – Bag: Kurt Geiger

As I have talked about in my A/W fashion essentials post and video, leather shorts are my favourite item to wear throughout the year. Yes, even in winter I do wear fake leather item! The sweater is from Zara and I have combined it with a satined blouse from the same shop. I like this combination, I feel it had a little “je ne sais quoi” to your outfit. Also, you create two outfits by removing one of the items.
My favourite accessory in this look is these knee-high boots bought on Asos. They’re from the brand Truffle which I have always liked to buy shoes from. The quality is always nice, models are trendy and shoes last for a good time. Unfortunately, this pair is sold out on the website but I link below some similar models.

grey sweater, satin blouse, leather black shorts, knee-high boots
grey sweater, satin blouse, leather black shorts, knee-high boots

To end, we need to talk about my tights. I have always considered this item as a unique piece of a look that needs to either fit with the look or make it stand out. Recently, I have fallen in love again with the brand Calzedonia and their graphic tights collection. The designs are different from what we usually see in the tights section which I like.

makeup using estee lauder products

Hi there! Back with a beauty post :). This is a review that is long overdue on my blog and never really took time to write.

Estée Lauder has been my favourite makeup brand for the best three years I would say, almost dethroning my love for MAC Cosmetics. Both brands belong to the same mother company The Estée Lauder Companies INC., thus in the end I might still use the same products but just under a different name. WHO KNOWS?

Anyways, today’s post is a small review of complexion products of the brand that I have been using regularly for my everyday looks.

liquid and powder fondation, and concealers from Estée Lauder

Double Wear Foundation (SPF10)

liquid fondation from Estée Lauder

The holy grail of most beauty YouTubers at some point, this is how I had found out about this foundation back then. Like MAC they always had a huge range of foundation shade thus I was happy that I could find my shade in a luxury makeup brand and did not hesitate to spend a good 50 euros on a foundation.

Review

I use the foundation in the shade 7W1 “Deep Spice” and it matches my skin tone perfectly.

The foundation is very liquid for this reason I use a thick buffer brush to apply it, to retain most of the product and have a perfect and even application on my face.

The finish of the foundation is matte, which I like it as I have oily skin especially and tend to shine heavily on my T zone. In wintertime, the Double Wear Foundation is my best friend, as I usually sweat too much, because of the five hundred layers of clothes we need to wear.
The coverage is very natural and you do not feel like you’re wearing a foundation at all, as it is a very light product.

Double Wear Concealer

concealers from Estée Lauder

Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have to admit that I laid it low on my makeup consumption. At the beginning of the lockdown, I was motivated to put on makeup every day to keep a certain routine but then laziness took over.

I don’t wear that much makeup anymore and I find it a bit annoying to go for a full face of foundation especially if some of it is going to end up on a mask. So, I found a great alternative to this I’m using concealers as “a foundation” and I get a pretty great result. Using concealers is just easier for everyday use at the moment and my skin does not have that many blemishes that I feel like I need to cover.

Review

To cover my hyperpigmentation on my skin I use a concealer in the shade 7N “Ultra Deep” and to highlight and I’ve my self a bit of glow, I use the concealer 6N “Extra Deep”. These are my go-to products from Estee Lauder. I of course use some setting powders from MAC and Nars to set both products otherwise I would like a mess.

Both products are applied with a beauty sponge for a natural finish. I use the flat side with the 7N to cover my hyperpigmentation and the pointy side to highlight under my eye, it’s easier to apply a concealer with this side of the sponge on that are.

I am in love with these concealers. Like the foundation the product is quite liquid and light, that’s why the finish is very natural all the time. The concealers do not movie throughout the day especially if it’s well set with powders.

Double Wear Powder

powder fondation from Estée Lauder

I have this powder in the shade 7C1 “Rich Mahogany” which has red undertones and more rich compared to my liquid foundation. The beauty advisor from Boots recommended me to take a richer powder than my foundation, as powders use are less pigmented and also it will allow me to use to set my liquid foundation if I wanted to.

Review

To apply this powder I use this kind of brush, with this thick hair and a flat top. This, to keep most of the pigments on it while applying the powder to my face. As well the finish is more even with this type of brush.

I feel like powder is in general less oily-skin friendly, type of foundation. Especially, if you use a lot of material. That is why I mostly use it during the summer. When my skin is darker and I still want a light touch of powder to even my complexion.

It is not my favourite product out of the 3, and neither in general but, in its category, it is a good one.

Should we buy from Estée Lauder?

The answer is a big yes! If you’re into makeup from high-end brands you should go for it. Especially since they’ve always had a large shade range for their products. The products I recommend the most at the moment are the concealers as I have been massively using them since last year. More they’re still full after all this time and use. You don’t need a lot of product for great results.
