Rule 2: A leather jacket or trench coat, you’ll need.
One statement outerwear piece that makes you look like you planned the outfit, even if you didn’t. Any bad outfits can be hidden under a long trench. My one and only trench coat for the past 5 years is a vintage piece from Burberry that I bought in a thrift shop in Paris. The best 200-something euros I’ve ever spent in fashion. No regret whatsoever.
Rule 3: one colourful bag to bring the joy back.
If there’s one accessory that needs to be colourful in my outft it always start with my bag!
That’s my little fashion “fun touch”, when I’m not wearing any colour or to just lift up my mood and summon the sun. To be fair, that has been my motto when buying bags for a while, I probably own only one or two black bags, the rest are bags or colour.
What are your spring fashion rules you can’t live without? :)

Hi There! A long time ago, I promised that I was going to share my best addresses for New York City
… with a little delay here they are!
A while back I shared on my youtube channel Aboutnoemiel a vlog of my two trips to New York and all the places I visited. Both times, I’ve been to New York it was only for a couple of days, so this guide won’t be super exhaustive, but at least it’s a start.

I’d give the movie an 8/10 – it’s a feel-good movie, a rom-com as I love them, even if there were some down times that I didn’t like. I also really enjoyed the trio we had on-screen; they had a great alchemy, and Elizabeth Olsen’s role reminded me of one of her characters in the early episodes of WandaVision. I actually prefer her in comedic space rather than as Scarlet Witch (even if she’s my favourite superhero). The two husbands, Miles Teller and Callum Turner, were perfectly cast; one is a not-so-perfect, but who would totally get husband of the year award. The other one is a Calvin Klein model who’s perfect (or almost) on every plan. If we add the two charming Afterlife Coordinators, we have the perfect main cast.
A movie by David Freyne, starring Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner.

Back to my old blog post, 6 years ago, I wrote that the 3 reasons why I’ll always keep a blog and why I think they’ll remain relevant:
1) content that lasts
2) bored with reading long Instagram captions
3) more intimacy on a blog – more space to write your feelings and thoughts
Do I still feel the same? Yes, for the most part!
Additionally, someone on Twitter said that Substack and blogs will be even bigger in 2026, because people want more authenticity, fewer ads on the platforms they consume every day.
Is this realistic? I remember the period where blogs were generating as much money than what Tiktok, Youtube or Instagram is generating for creators today. For this reason, I do believe that we will naturally go back to the capitalism stage for blogs, but at least everyone’s attention span will have increased by at least 1minute at that point. Joke?

]]>Hi there,
Two blog posts in a few weeks – what’s happening to me :o … Nothing really, just feeling a bit more motivated at the moment!
Anyways …
I am back with two summer looks! I know it will come to an end soon, but September always have a way to surprise us by becoming one of our best (unofficial) summer month.
For today’s post I’m sharing outfits in which I incorporated a touch of colour. I feel that recently summer looks have become very neutral, we’re not getting from brands clothes with the bright colours like we used to back in the good old days (love talking like an old lady!). Also, people do not try to play with colour as much as we used to (Is everyone super sad??).
So here’s my two cents to the fashion community to help you create looks that use a neutral base (white), but also have of bit of punch to it.
I bought this A-line skirt from Asos Design last year. I really like it but to be fair, it didn’t look as mini on the model as it does on me. I sometimes do wonder if we’re not buying to two different version of a product on Asos … anyway love the skirt and the sportsy look it gives. The top is an oldie from Zara, I absolutely have no memories as to where and when I bought it, I just remember that it must have been a sale item because I tried to find a size up and couldn’t. The colour was so perfect that I didn’t want to leave it in the store so I ended up buying it (unfortunately this is the story of a lot of my clothes … – to my biggest pleasure, not my bank account’s).
Red has been the colour of the season since last autum, so it’s only appropriate that I make it the perfect colour for summer as well, right?
The skirt is an oldie, but goodie from Asos and the ribbed top is from NA-KD. I feel like the turtle neck top kinds of elevated the style of this top and makes it less casual. It’s probably why it’s one of my favourite “tank” top to wear to work with a blazer it’s the perfect combination.
What do you think of these two looks :)?

]]>Hi There! This blog post is long due since this trip to Greece dates from June 2021. YES, 2021! What happened? Well, I had a busy trip, then moved country, started a new job with many activities and so on. I’ve finally edited all the videos related to this trip that you can now find on my youtube channel. Despite this trip being almost three years old, I still have vivid memories of the places I’ve been to and the emotions I was going through. I honestly thought that it wouldn’t be a good idea to share this content after such a long time, however, I realized that foremost I was doing it for myself (and also to empty my computer and iPhone storage).
Okay, so Greek Islands hopping – In this post, I will share with you, which islands to visit, where to stay, what to visit and where to eat. But also, share my budget. It’s going to be a long one, so be ready.
As mentioned in the vlogs, I did this trip after quitting my job and while waiting for a new one. This trip was supposed to be a parenthesis in my life during which I would spare no expense (and I did) and just enjoy to the maximum, as I knew I would not be able to enjoy this much time off before a long time (and it’s true).
Budget: 3,000 EUR (transport, accommodation, food and activities)
Duration: 17 days
Month: June 2021
Please remember, that this was a post/during covid trip, which means that some of the prices might have been lower than usual to attract more tourists and in a world without crazy inflation.
Itinerary: Athens – Heraklion – Santorini – Milos – Athens
Duration: 5 days
I decided to start my trip here because it was a city I had already visited a few years before, it felt easier to have it as a base in the country, as I was traveling on my own.
I stayed at the Selina Athens Theatrou hostel – the hostel itself was nice and had a rooftop (not accessible during covid, unfortunately). I’d say that the neighbourhood wasn’t the nicest, but I’ve found one of my favourite restaurant there.
In my vlogs in Athens, you won’t see me do a lot of the usual touristic places as I had already done them during my first visit in the city. I’ll still include them in this blog post so you don’t miss them (in italics).
Cultural Visit/Parks:
Pedion tou Areos (Field of Ares)
Strefi Hill
Ancient Agora of Athens

Bairaktaris Central
Bars/Rooftop:

I was mostly there for my friend’s wedding so I didn’t do a lot of tourism. Still, here’s the list of the few sites I in this city.
Grave of Níkos Kazantzákis
Koules Fortress
Agios Minas Cathedral
Kastella Seafood Restaurant
Last year I went back to Crete and spent more time on the island, I’ll write a post summarizing what can be done on the island soon.
Duration: 4 days
By far the most expensive destination of this trip, but also the most interesting. I had plenty of expectations with this island. Even with the covid restrictions it was the busiest part of my trip, I felt that the crowd was already huge for sunset watching so I don’t want to wonder what they look like now that normal travel resumed.
Thira was my base on the Island and I stayed at the Bedspot Hostel. It’s a super cute hostel with a lovely terrace to watch the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. I’ve also done the wonderful Fira – Oia hike, my first hike ever (the last one as well ^^) and WHAT A VIEW. Everytime I look back at the images of this trail, I just want to go back on the island. It was worth absolutely every step and suffering – please what the vlog to understand my feeling.
I didn’t visit anything in particular on the island, I mostly wander around the streets, tried to get the best views of the sea, have a look at the beautiful monument. I would just open google maps and tap on a random momument and go there.
Restaurant/Brunch:
Pitogyros Traditional Grill House
Rastoni Concept
Lucky’s Slovaki
Oia Gefsis
Volkan on the Rocks
Bars/Rooftop:
Sellada Beach
Volkan on the Rocks
PK Cocktail Bar
Duration: 5 days
First of all, I’d like to stay that I will never never ever going to shut up about how much I loved my stay on the island. This island is just amazing and I wish I had pockets large enough to spend all my summer there. I do believe that my love for the island is also due to the amazing boat trip I done there and allowed me to discover the riches of Milos from another point of view. The island is walkable if you like to walk a lot, so renting a car is the best option (bus system is not entirely reliable). The eastern part of the island is only accessible with 4×4, as it is uninhabited, which is the reason why most boat tours are concerning this part of the island and also it’s the best way to see what there is.
Boat tour:
Beaches/Cultural visit:
Firiplaka beach
Papafragas cave
Archaeological Museum of Milos
Sarakiniko Beach
Catacombs of Milos
Venitian Castle
Restaurant/Brunch:
Astakas Cafe restaurant
Flisvos
Bars/Rooftop:
Aragosta Cocktail bar
Artemis bar
Duration: 2 days
This time I stayed at the Metis Athens Suite hotel which had a wonderful view of the Acropolis (I booked the rooftop room).
Places I went to:
– Ciel Athens
– GES shoes (for amazing leather shoes)

I wore this dress while I was biking around Central Park. It’s definitely not the recommended length of the dress to wear for this kind of activity, but I least I cycled with style. I paired this dress, with a cute half-moon bag from Primark. I’m pretty sure it is a dupe for a famous bag, but I cannot seem to remember where I’ve seen it before. Sneakers are my from Converse, my all-time fav shoes. I have to admit that the platform Converse are the worst one to walk. I don’t like the weird feeling I get while walking with them.

]]>Hi there! Spring has sprung and this is my second post of the month! Yes, miracles do happen.
For this first spring outfit on my blog, I have decided to go for a more chic outfit as a celebration of this new season. I know it’s not a colourful outfit as I went for a black and white colour code. However, I can justify this by saying that we’re still at the beginning of this season and as we say “Till April’s dead, change not a thread“. In other words, it means do not go out in a mini dress and flips flops yet.

Estée Lauder has been my favourite makeup brand for the best three years I would say, almost dethroning my love for MAC Cosmetics. Both brands belong to the same mother company The Estée Lauder Companies INC., thus in the end I might still use the same products but just under a different name. WHO KNOWS?
Anyways, today’s post is a small review of complexion products of the brand that I have been using regularly for my everyday looks.
The foundation is very liquid for this reason I use a thick buffer brush to apply it, to retain most of the product and have a perfect and even application on my face.
The finish of the foundation is matte, which I like it as I have oily skin especially and tend to shine heavily on my T zone. In wintertime, the Double Wear Foundation is my best friend, as I usually sweat too much, because of the five hundred layers of clothes we need to wear.
The coverage is very natural and you do not feel like you’re wearing a foundation at all, as it is a very light product.
9/10
I don’t wear that much makeup anymore and I find it a bit annoying to go for a full face of foundation especially if some of it is going to end up on a mask. So, I found a great alternative to this I’m using concealers as “a foundation” and I get a pretty great result. Using concealers is just easier for everyday use at the moment and my skin does not have that many blemishes that I feel like I need to cover.
Both products are applied with a beauty sponge for a natural finish. I use the flat side with the 7N to cover my hyperpigmentation and the pointy side to highlight under my eye, it’s easier to apply a concealer with this side of the sponge on that are.
I am in love with these concealers. Like the foundation the product is quite liquid and light, that’s why the finish is very natural all the time. The concealers do not movie throughout the day especially if it’s well set with powders.
10/10
I feel like powder is in general less oily-skin friendly, type of foundation. Especially, if you use a lot of material. That is why I mostly use it during the summer. When my skin is darker and I still want a light touch of powder to even my complexion.
It is not my favourite product out of the 3, and neither in general but, in its category, it is a good one.
7/10
