More Than Gymnastics

More Than Gymnastics

At ASI Gymnastics, we believe gymnastics is so much more than flips and cartwheels — it’s about building the confidence, strength, friendships, and life skills that set kids up for success both inside and outside the gym.

From toddlers taking their first tumble to teens perfecting advanced routines, our goal is to empower every child to become the best version of themselves. When kids step onto the mat, they’re not just learning gymnastics — they’re learning how to shine.

🌟 Build Confidence That Sticks

Confidence doesn’t happen overnight — it’s built step by step.

At ASI, we celebrate every milestone, from tiny victories to big achievements. Whether it’s nailing a cartwheel for the first time or mastering a high-flying flip, our coaches provide encouragement, patience, and support every step of the way.

Kids learn to believe in themselves.

They develop a “can-do” attitude that extends beyond the gym.

Small successes grow into lifelong confidence.

By fostering a positive, uplifting environment, ASI gives kids the courage to face challenges head-on — both in gymnastics and in life.

Build Confidence
Build Strength Inside and Out

💪 Build Strength Inside & Out

Gymnastics is one of the best ways to develop total-body strength while having fun. From swinging on bars to perfecting balance on beams, every movement works the entire body — especially the core, which is essential for overall fitness.

But at ASI, we build more than physical strength:

Kids develop discipline and perseverance.

They learn how hard work leads to progress.

They gain the mental toughness to push past limits.

The result? A strong body, a strong mind, and the confidence to succeed in any sport or activity.

🎯 Build Coordination & Focus

Gymnastics isn’t just about strength — it’s about control, balance, and precision. Through skills like front rolls, cartwheels, and back handsprings, kids sharpen their hand-eye coordination and body control.

More importantly, gymnastics teaches focus and patience:

Kids learn to pay attention to detail.

They practice timing, rhythm, and movement patterns.

They improve concentration — a skill that benefits schoolwork, sports, and daily life.

And the best part? They’re having so much fun, they don’t even realize how much they’re learning!

Build Coordination and Focus
Friendships and Teamwork

💜 Build Friendships & Teamwork

Gymnastics may be an individual sport, but at ASI, we do it together. From cheering each other on to celebrating milestones, kids form strong bonds that last far beyond the gym walls.

Classes encourage collaboration and team spirit.

Kids learn to support and inspire one another.

Friendships formed at ASI often last for years.

For many of our students, ASI becomes their second home — a place where they feel safe, supported, and surrounded by friends who believe in them.

🚀 Build Leadership That Lasts

At ASI, we don’t just teach gymnastics — we develop leaders.

Through structured lessons, positive coaching, and group activities, kids learn how to step up, take responsibility, and inspire others.

They gain self-awareness and decision-making skills.

They learn how to lead by example.

They discover the value of helping others succeed.

These leadership qualities extend far beyond the gym, preparing kids to thrive in school, sports, and life.

Why Parents Choose ASI Gymnastics

Choosing ASI means choosing a place where your child is encouraged, celebrated, and set up for success. Reasons parents love us:

🏆 Expert Coaches — Trained, certified, and passionate about working with kids.

🤸 Fun, Engaging Programs — Every class is designed to keep kids active and excited.

💛 Positive Environment — We focus on encouragement, not pressure.

🌟 Lifelong Skills — Beyond gymnastics, kids learn confidence, teamwork, and leadership.

We aren’t just teaching flips — we’re building kids up, one skill, one friendship, and one victory at a time.

You’re at home wondering what’s something my preschooler can do? My three or four year old needs something to help them grow, learn, and fall in love with being active! Gymnastics is the perfect sport to introduce to your preschooler that will help them learn their body and fall in love with athletics at an early age! Here are five reasons why gymnastics is perfect for your preschooler.

  • Self Confidence: I am brave. I am strong. I am smart. Whether it’s jumping on the trampoline for the first time, braving the front roll, or being strong enough to hold ourselves up on the bar, we will celebrate every accomplishment your child completes in class! We create moments that can instill a positive sense of self in your three and four year old.
  • Coordination: Your preschooler is mastering running, jumping, swinging, and beginning to work on coloring and writing. Gymnastics helps build all of these skills. Gripping a bar will help with gripping a crayon and a pencil. Jumping on the trampoline helps develop body awareness. Walking on a balance beam improves coordination.
Preschool Readiness: In gymnastics, your preschooler will learn how to follow instructions, take turns, share, use their words to communicate with peers and adults, and transition to and from activities without a meltdown!
  • Friends: Those first few years can be tough to build a friend group for you and your child! Being a part of a regular weekly class can create a built-in friend group. Your preschooler and you can make lifelong friends just by being a part of a weekly gymnastics class!
  • Fun: Building self confidence, working on coordination, preparing for preschool, and making friends sounds like a lot of work because it is! Your preschooler won’t even know they’re learning because everything is done with an element of fun! We move at a fast pace through four 10-minute activities with a fun last five minutes at the end! They will be asking you, “Is it ‘nastics day?” all day every day!

Now, that you’re convinced why gymnastics is the sport for your son or daughter, now you have the task of looking for the right gym near you. Now, it’s our turn to ask you, Why not ASI Gymnastics?

At ASI Gymnastics, we take all of these factors and combine them into a fun and safe environment for your child. Our gymnastics classes range in ages, skills offered, and levels. Your child will make friends in class, all while building their self confidence and strength. ASI uses The Gold Standard, a method of learning in which your child will learn gymnastics at his or her level, will advance at their own pace, and will learn their different skills in progressions, a method of breaking down the skills into its simpler parts, in which your child completely, safely, and successfully learn skills. Here at ASI, we guarantee a fun atmosphere for your child to learn and grow, and we are excited to meet every future gymnast that walks through our door! Come try a gymnastics class here at ASI Gymnastics. We’re excited to meet you!

School is back in session! Gone are the days of splash pads, adventure camps, and family vacations. Kids of all ages will now spend 30-35 hours a week in school learning and growing. One of the more challenging parts of school can be all the sitting the kids do.
On average, kids need at least 60 minutes of physical activity daily. Our gymnastics and ninja classes offer 55 minutes of nonstop fun and movement. Here are three benefits of adding gymnastics or ninja to your child’s after school activities.

  • Improved Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence: Doing their first back handspring. Being a part of a team. Ringing the bell! At ASI Gymnastics, we look for ways to boost your child’s self-esteem and self-confidence. Getting a new gymnastics skill or making your way through the ninja obstacle course is a big deal! Being the best listener and learning to follow the leader is equally exciting! We look for ways to reinforce the good. When you hear the bell ring, clap for the child! It’s building their confidence and self-esteem!
  • Better Concentration and Attention: Moving is learning! Gymnastics and ninja move the body forward and backward, spinning, and rotating sideways. All of these movements help improve concentration and attention.
  • Improved Mood: Having fun with coaches, making new friends, learning new skills, and moving all lead to improving your child’s mood. A positive mood leads to more productivity making homework easier! A positive mood also increases memory and attention span which means you might not have to ask your child three times to brush their teeth before bed! A positive mood leads to a happier, healthier child with a positive outlook on the world meaning they can conquer and do more!

Simone, Success, and Sportmanship

Gymnastics in Paris is done. Simone cemented herself as the G.O.A.T. with another four medals. Team USA earned the Team Gold. Simone, Suni, Jordan, and Jade all earned individual medals. Beyond the medals, many moments captured so many fundamentals that we aim to teach our gymnasts at ASI.

  • Success comes in many forms. The obvious mark of success in Paris is a gold medal. The Beam Final showed us a different kind of success. Both Suni and Simone fell during their beam routines. When they fell, they lost any hope for an individual medal. What did they do? They got up and finished with grace, poise, and confidence. We love moments where we get to teach gymnasts that sometimes success means finishing what you started even if the result isn’t what you wanted.
  • Sportsmanship will never go out of style. In a world where athletes all have brands and success means more sponsorships and more opportunities, Simone and Jordan smashed that by bowing down to Rebecca Andrade when she took the gold in the Floor Final. When Jordan took bronze, Simone celebrated more for her friend than she did when she found out she was taking home silver. One of our biggest goals for our gymnasts is to instill the values of being a good teammate and celebrating others’ achievements.
  • Sports are one of the greatest things for children. Whether you end up a successful CEO, world-class athlete, or first-grade teacher, sports can create a foundation for anything life will throw at you. Sports teaches you how to fail forward, have work ethic, and be a good teammate.

“No matter your child’s age, it’s never too late to start their journey in gymnastics. Join us at ASI Gymnastics and discover how our programs can teach your child valuable life lessons while providing a strong foundation for any sport they wish to pursue. Sign up for a free trial gymnastics class today and see firsthand the benefits of being part of one of the best sports around!”
