This is one of the advertising illustrations my grandfather, Al Wiseman, did for Golden State. He created the “Land of Ohs and Ahs” and the illustrations around it for this company that had offered him a million dollar contract just around the time Alice Ketcham hit on the idea for the comic strip (read more on that here).
