Nice weather on Friday will lead into an equally pleasant day on Saturday. Sunshine should rule from start to finish and temperatures will be right around “normal” for this time year, with readings in the 70s. Unfortunately, clouds will push into the area Saturday night and Sunday and some showers are likely to cross through the region during the day on Sunday. While an all day rain isn’t currently expected…a fair chunk of the midday hours look wet and gray skies/cooler temperatures are likely.

Quiet Weather Rolls On

Other than a passing frontal zone and the threat for a sprinkle or shower over the next 24 hours, there’s not much weather to talk about. Temperatures in the 70s today will warm to near 80F tomorrow and then dip back into the 70s for Friday and Saturday. The only real noticeable change will be a shift in humidity levels – southwest winds will become rather busy this afternoon and transport more humid air into the region for tonight and Thursday. However, the aforementioned cold front will cut through the region on Thursday and usher in another shot of comfortable air to close out the work week. Simulated radar imagery shows some scattered showers around the region with the approaching front tonight and Thursday.

Labor Day Weekend

Not a bad forecast for the holiday weekend – but maybe not the perfect late summer beach weekend we might hope for to close out the summer (though Monday will be better). Expect a mix of sunshine and increasing amounts of cloud cover both Saturday and Sunday with a scattered sprinkle or shower possible as moisture rotates southward through the area. It’ll be cool and a bit breezy as busy north and northeast winds persist. Temperatures won’t make it much beyond 70F and will likely dip into the 60s at times as clouds and moisture move through. By Monday, winds will bend around to a more northwesterly (offshore) direction, drying out the cloud cover and pushing temperatures several degrees higher.
