UTILITY SERVICES?

AMOUNT OF UTILITY CHARGES

In most cases, users complain about the amount of charges displayed on the statement of utility charges. Utility charges per services on the statement of charges (bill) are received from service providers. In case of error made by a service provider, the service provider shall validate the error, the statement shall be reversed and charges reduced. Then, the bill may be paid at our cash desk or by money order in a post office or bank. If the user wishes to complain about certain services on the bill, they may file an appeal at the customer complaints service desk and if need be, the user is further referred to the service provider i.e. utility companies.

IRREGULAR READING OF WATER METERS AND AMOUNTS OF CHARGES FOR COLD WATER

As regards complaints about cold water service, charges and amounts displayed on the bill, users may file appeals at any customer complaints service desk in branch offices of the Public Utility Company “INFORMATIKA” Novi Sad and at the Customer Complaints Office at 3 Car Lazar Boulevard. If the user receives validation from the Public Utility Company “Water Supply and Sewage” Novi Sad, and the cold water remains overcharged, they should contact the Public Utility Company “INFORMATIKA” Novi Sad, Customer Complaints Office at 3 Car Lazar Boulevard in order to pay the bill in installments. The number of installments depends on the amount of charges per bill. If the user wishes to pay the corrected amount of charges in full, the bill as such may be paid only at the cash desk of the Public Utility Company “INFORMATIKA” Novi Sad. If the user of an individual water meter complains about irregular reading of the water meter, they can read the water meter themselves and report the balance by phone to following telephone numbers: Public Utility Company “Water Supply and Sewage” Novi Sad – 021 48 83 364, 48 83 371.

OVERCHARGED ELECTRICITY FOR HEATING HOT WATER

Total electricity charges for a certain substation are divided between the total numbers of users connected to the substation. Public Utility Company “INFORMATIKA” Novi Sad receives dinar amounts for every month from the Public Utility Company “Novi Sad Heating” Novi Sad. Should a user wish to complain about the statement of charges they may call: 48 81 188 – Public Utility Company “Novi Sad Heating” Novi Sad.

COULD I RECEIVE STATEMENT OF UTILITY CHARGES FOR PART OF A MONTH?

A statement of charges refers to a whole calendar moth and it is not possible to divide it or change it. Partial payments of housing – utility bills may be made at cash desk of the Public Utility Company ‘INFORMATIKA”.

HOW TO CHANGE THE USER NAME ON THE BILL?

Every user / old or new/ is obliged to notify the Public Utility Company “INFORMATIKA” Novi Sad on every change relevant for establishing their liabilities towards housing – utility services within 15 days from the date of change.

Should the name of the apartment owner change, the user should contact the Public Utility Company “INFORMATIKA” Novi Sad, at 3 Car Lazar Boulevard, opening hours: 7.30 – 14.30hrs. The user is to submit a copy of a relevant document (sales contract, proof of inheritance, cadastre excerpt and alike), and identity card of the new owner for inspection. HOW CAN I OBTAIN THE RIGHT TO SUBSIDIES?

The right to subsidies refers to the following housing – utility services: heating, cold water, hot water and cleaning. The right may be exercised by certain categories of citizens.

HOW CAN I REDUCE (CHANGE) THE NUMBER OF HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS?

If you live in a residential building that has a legitimate President of the Tenants’ Assembly, the change in the number of household members must be signed and stamped by the President of the Tenants’ Assembly.

Death Certificate must be presented if you wish to delete a deceased member of the household from the present address.

If your residential building does not have an elected President of the Tenants’ Assembly, the party is to change the number of household members by submitting an Application in which the tenant’s ID number is specified and which is signed by at least two members of the Assembly (member’s signature and ID number), connected to the same water meter.

In case of individual houses connected to a separate water meter the Application, which is to include the applicant’s ID number is duly signed by the owner of the house. In case of several facilities connected to the same water meter, the Application must be signed by the applicant and majority of owners of facilities, specifying their ID numbers. If the number of household members is to change to NONE and the owner cannot reach the agreement with other owners, certified statement by two witnesses is required.
