Melbourne and Sydney folk are both the same. Melbourne sucks up to Sydney…Sydney sucks up to Melbourne. So happy not to live in either place. You will never be happy. Always comparing themselves with somewhere else. Don’t be surprised if they never travelled much around their own country. They just want to be be Europe or Britain. They are never true to themselves. Always seeking approval. Latch on to to any positive comment about them and then exploit it. Media driven fantasy cities that aren’t wholesome. The problem with Sydney is that it believes in its own delirium. It also sucks so much attention away from the rest of Australia, as does Melbourne. They claim everything for themselves with no reference to where they drew inspiration from. Total disregard for good people. Expensive existence. No humility to be found in most people. Full of overpayed white trash who befriend anyone with an income of over 1 million dollars a year. Disown you if you don’t compete with them. Also lots of impoverished folk who they don’t want to acknowledge. Pretend to be diverse with an attitude to boot. They prove to be empty headed and soul less. Aggressive for all the wrong reasons. Don’t match up to “their own” hype. I find they are not that well informed but believe their own narrative. Both places do not feel like home and they are not homely. The poor foreigners have to stick to themselves in their own enclaves because the cities aren’t friendly or accommodating. I hate to think that the rest of the world gauges Australians because of these two narcissistic self regarding shits of cities. There are better places with better opportunities and friendlier outlooks. Other cities in Australia aren’t that self focussed and will have the time for others and have adopted a better attitude to newcomers. Except for Adelaide. It is not that friendly either. It is just a Melbourne wannabe city with a smaller population and a pompous attitude. It hates every other city in Australia because it believed itself to be better than the rest and that didn’t eventuate. Sour lemons for Adelaide. All I am looking for is a down to earth, realistic, green city with enough to be happy with and friendly people to talk to. After all, living with narcissists doesn’t excite me. There is a lot more honesty and humility in Australian country folk but they are also envious of city folk. Always wanting what the cities offer without realising that they are better off without most of it. Sydney and Melbourne attitudes aren’t to be envied. They are always looking for more of something. They might have a lot but never satisfied. It’s distressing to say the least. I expected a more robust, well rounded and level headed type of personality but instead you get a bitchy, competitive, and incomplete personality with aspirations of becoming famous and rich. The TV programming in Australia is dismal with a heavy focus on Sydney and Melbourne. Most Australians do not live in Sydney and Melbourne. It is just pathetic. By the way, Sydney Harbour isn’t that great and port Phillip Bay is meh! Overhyped, over rated, bullshit.
