Bayshore Gardens collaborate with Nikoniko for a new senior’s care facility in Burnaby

Soon, Bayshore Gardens will establish a new partnership agreement with Nikoniko Health Inc. (President: Yuko Abeyama) to proceed with the development of a senior care home project in Burnaby.

Bayshore Gardens is proud of working with Nikoniko, well-known Japanese senior home-care provider in Vancouver. With their professional knowledge and experiences, we will offer a unique model of senior care facility in a beautiful residential area. As the building will be so homey with Japanese gardens and more one-to-one-care operation we are aiming at, we are hoping this provides a new standard of a homecare service in Metro Vancouver.

The project is currently under the rezoning for developing a 9 units of seniors care home. We expect necessary permits will be granted towards later of 2020 and the construction will take place immediately after that. The completion will be towards spring of 2022.

The architect is NSDA, a well-known first class architectural firm in Vancouver.

Blue Tree acquires Japanese textbook operations from OCS Canada Trading

We are pleased to announce that, as of December 20, 2019, Blue Tree Management (Canada) (#1300-1500 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC V6G2Z6, President: Hiro Okamoto) acquires majority of the businesses under OCS Canada Trading Ltd. (195-4851 Miller Rd, Richmond, BC V7B1K7 Owner: Makiba Tamai) which had been selling and distributing Japanese textbooks, ordinary books and magazines across Canada.

Blue Tree will acquire most of the businesses of OCS Canada Trading along with all staff members, so that we will be able to provide a seamless service to our valued subscribers and regular customers. With respect to our vendors, Blue Tree will contact each of them to make sure that the businesses will continue to be operated smoothly.

For your information, Blue Tree is taking over the services of subscription, Toronto Book Store (to be renamed as “Blue Tree Books”), Gift to Japan and Japanese textbook distribution to Japanese schools and universities.

As we are the only Japanese bookstore and distributor in Canada, Blue Tree is more than happy to further distribute Japanese books, textbooks, magazines and zakka across Canada.

Bayshore Gardens acquires a land for senior’s home in Burnaby

In March 2019, Bayshore Gardens Real Estate Holding bought a land in Burnaby to develop a senior’s home with a partnership of Nikoniko Health Inc, a reciprocal partner of Blue Tree Group.

This project is to aim operating as a residential care facility to support dementia and those who cannot live independently. Bayshore Gardens and Nikoniko work together for preliminary discussions with Fraser Health Authority and the City of Burnaby for the permit.

It expects 8-10 month for permit process and 12-14 month period for the construction. The completion is towards spring to summer of 2021. Upon the completion, we plan to have 10 units of residential care facility within a quiet and welcoming residential community.

The development will be processed under a new limited partnership agreement between Nikoniko Health Inc. and Bayshore Gardens Real Estate Holdings Limited.

OCS Canada Trading bought out Nihongo Circle in Toronto

Blue Tree’s reciprocal partner, OCS Canada Trading (“Trading”) completed its buy-out of Nihongo Circle in Toronto, one of the biggest Japanese text books distributors in Canada in March 2018.

Trading has been aiming to expand a distribution business of Japanese text books to universities in Canada. Nihongo Circle and Trading mutually agreed its buy-out in December 2017 and completed its buy-out in March 2018.

Trading has been distributing Japanese text books to Japanese schools in Canada but at this time, we expand its target to universities to set a new stage.

Blue Tree is in full support about buy-out funding, coordination and administration to the process.
