About the club
A small club with a big personality
Bowmen of the Tors is a Plymouth target archery club with access to indoor and outdoor facilities throughout the year. Our members shoot recurve, compound, barebow, English longbow and other traditional styles.
Our volunteer committee and coaching team run and develop the club. Members are encouraged to share ideas, get involved and help make the club a welcoming place to shoot.
Starting in archery
Learn safely. Build confidence. Find your style.
Our beginners course consists of six weekly two-hour indoor sessions led by the club coaching team. Courses are normally held on a weekday evening, starting at 7pm.

Complete the course
Attend the six sessions and learn the skills required to shoot safely.
Course format+
Six weekly indoor sessions, each lasting two hours. Courses are normally held on a weekday evening from 7pm. The course advert will confirm the complete schedule.
What you will learn+
The course introduces range safety, equipment, shooting technique, scoring and archery etiquette, with support from the club coaching team.
How booking works+
There is no formal waiting list. When a course is announced, follow the booking link in the advert and complete the process online. Places are limited, allocated first come, first served, and are only secured when your booking is confirmed.

Our home is at Notre Dame School in Plymouth. The club has year-round facilities and outdoor shooting up to 100 yards.
