Monday 12-16-2024, at the headquarters of the ALWATAN Center in the city of Hebron.

Head of the ALWATAN Center, Nayef Al-Hashlamoun, received Dr. Peter Mandavelli, Director of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships and Senior Advisor for Religious Participation/US Agency for International Development, and his accompanying delegation: Advisor David Hunsicker; Jeremy D. Meadows, Deputy Director, Democracy and Governance in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv/ West Bank / Gaza Strip; and Advisor JoubranJoubranof the United States Agency for International Development. The meeting that followed also included Sheikh Hatem Al-Bakri, former Minister of Endowments. Dr. Sheikh Ayman Al-Badarin from Hebron University, and tribesman Issa Abu Mayaleh (Abu Shadi).

ALWATAN Center President Nayef Al-Hashlamoun welcomed the guest delegation and their visit to the city of Hebron, especially given the exceptional circumstances experienced after the seventh of October. He briefed the delegation on the inhumane practices and violations by the Israeli occupation and settlers, and the difficulties of daily life of Palestinians under the Israeli occupation.

Hashlamoun and other Palestinian speakers spoke about the historical status of the city of Hebron, the challenges it faces and the difficult living reality, which greatly affects all civil and official institutions and their ability to provide services to citizens. He spoke of the necessity of stopping the war of genocide and destruction in Gaza, alleviating the suffering and cruel practices in the West Bank, and improving the lives of Palestinians by restoring and strengthening the services provided to them.

The Palestinian speakers assured the guest delegation that the Palestinian people support their leadership, which has extended its hand for peace so that the Palestinian people can live in freedom and dignity in their homeland like the rest of the peoples of the earth. They ask that the US administration reconsider its policy of unconditional support of Israel, which is required if the US is to be a successful sponsor of the peace process. After all, the Palestinian leadership has committed to everything the process requires, while Israel continues to violate all international agreements and covenants.

The Palestinian people have suffered decades of injustice and persecution. We appeal to the world to require Israel to do what the agreements stipulate.

Hashlamoun, Al-Bakri, Al-Badarin and Abu Mayaleh stressed the following specific points to the American guest delegation:

1- The Palestinian political and religious leadership believe in peace. We need a real partner for peace on the Israeli side.

2- The Palestinian leadership agreed to international resolutions concerned with international peace and security, including Resolutions 242 and 338, and attended all Arab and international peace conferences, including the Arab Peace Initiative, which received great support from the Palestinian leadership, as well as the International Quartet.

3- The Jewish religious leadership is focused more on annexation of Palestinian land than on peace.

4- We are not hostile to Judaism as a religion, but we are against the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land and its people.

5- Muslims, Christians, and Jews lived in this country in peace and security for long periods of time.

The head of the American delegation, Dr. Peter Mandavelli, expressed his happiness at this visit and this meeting of distinguished Palestinians, and to see the living reality. He stressed the importance of the visit, hoping that peace will prevail in the region soon, and that the Palestinian people will enjoy prosperity.

Finally, Dr. Peter and the accompanying delegation expressed their admiration and appreciation for the services provided by the ALWATAN Center to the Palestinian community and humanity.

Consortium of Independent Palestinians delegation visited ALWATAN Center, in which they discussed the fields of cooperation and joint work between the consortium and ALWATAN Center.
Consultent Nayef Hashlamoun, prisedent of ALWATAN Center, welcomed the the visiting delegation giving a a description of the origin and development of the center and its future prospects.
On his turn, Counselor Samir Mousa, Member of Central Committee of Consortium of Independent Palestinians, and the accompanying delegation praised ALWATAN Center efforts and programs in serving and developing the Palestinian community.

ALWATAN Center for Culture and Media, in collaboration with e-campus University and Ankara Yildirim Beyazit  University, announces an invitation to attend the 2nd International Women’s Congress on May 9-11 2018 Como, Italy. The Italian University contacted AlWATAN Center as an agent to cooperate with the first to collect people from Jordan and Palestine to attend the congress.

Fortunately, and after the initiative of ALWATAN Center lead by Consultant and Headmaster, Nayef Hashlamoun and his commendable endeavors to communicate with the various parties and officials to put an end for the dispute between Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry(HCCI) and Federation of Leather Industries; the dispute has been finally resolved. Special thanks goes to Mr. Maher Alqaisi, Dirictor General of National Economy, Dr. Rafique Alja’bari, Assistant Governor,  Intelligence agency and Preventive Security, the President and members of the Chamber of Commerce and the President and members of the Federation of Leather Industries, Mr. Tariq Abu Elfilat and ALWATAN Center.

FORWARD THINKING British Organization visited ALWATAN Center to discuss the joint programs that they are currently working on and future cooperation issues in Palestine.
The meeting was very fruitful and full of positive discussion topics that will be more clarified later on. The delegate was fascinated by ALWATAN Center’s different activities and programs. The delegate, also, praised ALWATAN Center’s bright history in working with different gender and age groups, especially women and youths.
The meeting included: Nayef Hashlamoun (ALWATAN Center President), Jordan Morgan (UK Programme Manager at Forward Thinking) , Lila Cherrih ( the Programme Assistant at Forward Thinking), Afnan Maraqa, and Doa Idais (ALWATAN President Assistants).

ALWATAN WOMEN HANDWORKS
ALWATAN Center is working on developing a hand-work center in Khirbet Ghwain, Sourif, and Hebron by which it encourages women to make embroidery, crochet, and handwork. The center welcomes any interested women in villages and the city of Hebron itself to participate and create their own works, and then sells these products in the market. In this regard, AlWATAN Center stays alongside with women and their needs. We do our best to draw a work path for Palestinian women so that we can empower them in our society as much as possible away from racism or any kind of oppression. We believe that WOMEN represent a fundamental source for development, prosperity and peace-loving.

We appreciate your support and donation in order to work together to empower women and help them find a marketing platform for their traditional products.

Yesterday, 7th of March 2018, ALWATAN Center’s president , Nayef al-Hashlamoun, and its’ supporters visit and honor the Colonel Maher Abu al-Halaweh for the promotion he got to become the Vice President of Defense Security Directorate of Hebron Governorate, and for his efforts in supporting Civil Peace and serving the Palestinian people with the best he could. ALWATAN Center is sending Colonel Abu al-halaweh best wishes for a quick recovery after his leg got fractured while he was doing his national duty. Get well soon.

ALWATAN Center’s President, Nayef Hashlamoun, meets with AL-Umma Research Center  in Amman to discuss further possible joint work opportunities. The meeting included a variety of fruitful discussions regarding conducting shared workshops, courses and trainings between both centers. The meeting consists of : Nayef Hashlamoun, Dr-Mervat Abadi along with her husband, Mahmoud Shehadeh,  Mrs. Intisar Obeidat and Eman Abd al-Rahman. The meeting was held on Thursday, 1st of March, 2018 after an invitation from Al-Umma Research Center.

ALWATAN Center would like to thank Al-Umma Research Center for their warm welcome and hospitality.

ALWATAN Center’s delegation visits Professor Sameer Abu Zneid, ALWATAN Center’s Board of Trustees’ member  and the dean of Finance and Administration Department at Hebron University , to congratulate and honor him for being the first one in Palestine who becomes a professor in Business Administration. ALWATAN Center’s delegation includes: Nayef al-Hashlamoun ( ALWATAN Center’s President),Dr- Taiseer Amrou, Dr-Labib Bader, Rushdi Sider, eng- Najeh Hashlamoun, eng-Nayef al-Hour, Afnan Maraqa and Fatima al-Sharif.

To be up to date with all developments related to the issues which ALWATAN Center deal with, Nayef Al Hashlamoun, the president of ALWATAN center, participated in a European tour to attend an international conference, Bridging The Future Women’s Perspective, which took place in e-CAMPUS University in Como,Italy. The tour includes visiting Italy,  Holland, Switzerland, and Turkey. So many issues had been discussed in the conference by the president of ALWATAN Center. Moreover,  a distinguished  group  of ambassadors and rights activists
Human Rights, Information and Law, Ministries and Institutions participated in this conference.
