]]>Next week we're going LIVE with another Marketing Masterclass where you & I will be working TOGETHER to craft your very own High-Ticket Coaching Program.
If we can SPEED UP the process for you to get your audience results, the value of your coaching goes up exponentially.
The fastest way to grow your biz is with a framework you can use to help your clients get those results WITHOUT increasing the amount of 'work' you need to do. A High-Ticket Coaching Program is how we do that.
Registration details & the schedule are here.

Today's guest is Harvard-trained psychiatrist, author, lecturer and researcher Dr Srini Pillay, talking about one of my favourite topics of all time:
The brain and how it makes you a BETTER entrepreneur.
Specifically, we're going to be covering the premise of his book Tinker, Dabble, Doodle, Try: how allowing your brain to UNFOCUS actually helps you achieve your goals faster.
That's especially significant for an entrepreneur because a lot of the time, we approach things using the 'brute force' method:
We focus and we dedicate long hours to our study and our goals and working on our businesses…
But that's not always the RIGHT way.
We're covering:
- The story about how Dr Pillay discovered the power of 'unfocus' at medical school when he was working really hard, but grades were slipping and studying more wasn't the right answer
- If your brain isn't focussed - especially on your work and your business – is it doing NOTHING useful at all?
- What is the Default Mode Network, and how does it unlock the power of your brain?
- Using your mental power to be a more effective, creative and intelligent entrepreneur and see more opportunities
- Can unfocus give you greater self-awareness?
- How do you activate the unfocussed circuits in the brain…
- And does this make you LESS productive because you're taking time away from work, or more productive because your brain works better when you come back to work?
- What to do if you try to focus but find yourself easily distracted and challenged by staying on task
- Positive constructive daydreaming: you should be doing this every single day to achieve your goals faster
- Did you know that doodling can increase your memory by 29%?
- Psychological Halloweenism: How to increase your self-identity and become a more capable person as you tackle challenges in your biz
- Recognising signs and symptoms of when you are overusing the focus circuits in your brain and need a break
- Essential Depression: The condition that Dr Pillay thinks is occurring on an epidemic level – and how to prevent this in your own life
- When being a hyper-rational and action-oriented person can sometimes hurt you
- A discussion about the part of the brain that makes us self-conscious and get in our own way and how to deal with this
- Removing the limitations and negative head-noise we burden ourselves with
- As someone who has an incredible ability to explain and teach incredibly complex topics, how can we learn from Dr Pillay's communication style?
- Why the notion of 'entertaining possibility' is one of the great secrets to achieving goals we're not sure we are capable of hitting
- Developing a growth mindset by examining and 'tagging' information that comes into your brain
- The truth about motivation and how to fuel your desires for a successful business

Your audience is incredibly and seriously skeptical...
But it's not your fault.
See, you are not the only person 'doing marketing' to people who need your help!
There are other 'experts' and businesses out there who are trying to grab attention by using hype, unbelievable claims and promises that sound too good to be true...
It happens to YOUR AUDIENCE, it happens to ME, and it's happening to YOU, too.
It colours and tarnishes our perception of everything that we see - because in a world where 90% of marketing is propaganda and rubbish...
We become skeptical. BUT there are three things you can do to overcome this challenge in your business:
1. Educate (So your promises have merit)
2. Dont' Put Yourself On A Pedestal (nobody believes the person who tells the world why they are a guru)
3. Make A Damaging Admission (how refreshing is it when someone FINALLY tells you how it is without skirting around the truth?)

The ability to create a HIGHLY ACCURATE marketing message that gets a response from your audience and moves them towards becoming a customer or client of yours is incredibly important...

How well you promote and position your OFFER (which is different from your product, btw!)...

]]>1. You are OUTNUMBERED by your customers & clients and must dictate how your working relationship with them or else your biz becomes a prison
2. If you ACTUALLY can get results for people, is no proof that you are incapable of building whatever kind of business you want
These are realisations that Bernadette Doyle, founder of the Online Profits University and long-time online biz entrepreneur, has learnt.
Bernadette's here to teach us about how credibility and inner game give us the confidence to BELIEVE that we can design any kind of business we want...
And how to take off the handbrake of limiting beliefs, a negative mindset and the "Golden Handcuffs" when you're doing your work.
You can follow ANY tactic or strategy you want as you work to create your biz, but if that handbrake is on...
You're not going anywhere.
We're discussing:
- Is it easier today to run an online business than ever before – and where are the biggest opportunities?
- Super common & popular marketing strategies & tactics that you should AVOID at all costs
- The importance of making sure that your business is set up for you to do work that you actually enjoy!
- Why it's important for you to have the BELIEF that you actually can make money while doing work that you enjoy…
- ('Cos the alternative doesn't sound like much fun, does it?)
- The important lesson Bernadette got about time management & freedom when her son almost lost his life
- The best advice that Bernadette has ever gotten from a mentor (this is worth living your life by!)
- YOU ARE OUTNUMBERED BY YOUR CLIENTS - & what that means for your freedom
- NEVER wish that your starting point for building your business was different: A lesson on the "Golden Handcuffs"
- The advice Bernadette would give herself back when she first started her online business journey
- Self-credibility: Why this is so important for you as an entrepreneur and how to build it
- Setting rules & habits for yourself that set you up for success
- The ONE THING that Bernadette specifically recommends you do as soon as possible to get progress with your business
- Earnings per email subscriber: one of the most important metrics in your business, and how to grow it
- How the 'Online Information Expert' business model NEEDS to be different for a wellness practitioner than any other kind of 'expert'
- The difference between INFORMATION and TRANSFORMATION
- Emotional toughness & "Inner Game" – why these two qualities should be in every marketer's psychological toolbox…
- & how to develop it & get past our self-limitations
- Positioning yourself: How to get past the 'weirdness' of choosing an authority position when you're brand new to the online world
- The truth about testimonials: Are they important, and what do you want people to ACTUALLY say in them?
- Plus, how the heck do you get them?
- The traits & characteristics of the entrepreneurs that Bernadette has seen become super successful (and the ones that indicate someone is gonna struggle)
- Bernadette's homework for you!

In fact, if you feel that way it's a good thing and you're in the right place. Being highly focussed on one priority and designing your life & structuring your time to achieve it IS they key to achieving extraordinary things...
But can we make that a little bit less uncomfortable and challenging? You bet - here's four big points to remember if feel like your life is out of balance while you're building your business:
1. It's ok to have ONE priority that serves many values
2. Getting 'out of balance' with life as it is right now is probably GREAT advice for your customers & clients - so don't think it's unnatural!
3. NEVER let people feel bad for you for working hard at your goals, because if you accept their sympathy it leads you down the road to becoming a victim
4. Adopt the learner's mindset and you'll feel more progress and less stress

]]>But do you believe that there's a fundamental link between working hard and feeling stressed, tense, or under pressure?
Truth is, there's not - and Jeannette Bessinger (who has been health coaching online for almost 20 years) has the experience to back that up.
Author of multiple books - and having been featured on hundreds of publications like Washington Post, Dr Oz Online, NBC News - AND training with the Poliquin Institute, IIN, IPE...
Jeannette has done a HUGE amount of work and realised that stress doesn't have to be a big part of your entrepreneurial journey if you're prepared right.
We're covering her story about how she built her business - as well as...
- What an online biz veteran with almost 20 years experience of health coaching in the digital space has to say about where to START your business
- Jeannette's observations about how the internet has changed, and pivoting your marketing strategy
- The one thing that you can do that makes easier today to build your business than ever before in internet history
- Why self-belief makes it easier to achieve your dreams AND stress out a whole bunch less on your way
- Recognising when the zeitgeist of the internet changes and when your biz strategy must shift too
- Finding the 'gap' in your marketplace and getting clarity on your niche
- Explaining your 'Big Idea' to that audience so it resonates with them…
- And how are you supposed to deal with other expert's opinions when they don't actually agree with you, or say you're wrong?
-Balancing good marketing strategies and personal intuition in growing your business – what the heck does that mean and how do we do it?
-How to deal when you feel stressed and overwhelmed in your business
- If SPEED is the entrepreneur's best friend, how do we prevent the avoidance of overwhelm from turning into procrastination?
- Signs that you're too tense and stressed while working on your business – and what you can do to correct this problem
- Jeannette's homework for you!

With 20+ years experience as a functional medicine practitioner (which SURELY makes him one of the originals), Dr Beck opens the kimono on the process of taking what you know that gets your 1:1 patients and clients results NOW...

- Where do we get the confidence and self-esteem to actually design our own model for healthcare and getting results for our clients and customers?
- The ideation and creation process to building and crafting a framework and health system for your business

- The 2:3:5:8 Framework of the Balance Protocol…

- How a desperate desire to escape the business model that required face-to-face contact with patients led to Dr Beck's successful business model
- Dealing with criticism of you as a practitioner and your system

Over the last few weeks I've done a LOT of consults with wellness practitioners to help them build business & marketing plans, and 'mindset' is almost always one of the core things that they say they need to teach to their people...
I've been doing a lot of strategerising about that, and I've found that there IS a time and a place to share your thoughts about mindset.
If you're considering whether it has a place in your group coaching or online product, ask yourself these three questions:
1. Do you have a system that generally everyone can follow to get better results by upgrading their mindset?
2. What would their results look like if they just did the damn work WITHOUT you ever mentioning this topic?
3. Does it make sense for you to speak about mindset in your content, rather than in your paid program?

Today on the show we're doing a Top Biz Takeaways episode of Joey Coleman's book Never Lose A Customer Again.
I'll be the first to admit that we don't talk about the topic of customer experience enough on this show - but a little extra attention here could literally double your profits - or more.
There's three major points to consider from Joey's book - specifically as it relates to wellness practitioners building online businesses. They are:
1. Be SUPER mindful of where your prospect's mindset is when they're at the "Assess" phase of your customer journey
2. The difference between customer SERVICE and customer EXPERIENCE
3. What is the REAL goal of making sales - and how do we improve that?

In today's episode, we get to cover all three with Anna Renderer, host of PopSugar Fitness, founder of the Sexy Confident Woman Formula & creator of Vision In The Vineyards.
There's a lot to take in on and think about throughout this interview - like the importance of building your business NOT JUST around serving a group of people who you know you can help and who you know want what you can give them, but who you actually like working with...
We're talking about content creation, high-performance, marketing, customer research, and we have a little debate around whether you need to strategically plan out your unique selling proposition, or USP.
Grab your journal, take some notes, this is a good one! We're covering:
- Why it's so important to make sure that your business is FUN and that you actually enjoy working with your people
- Should you ever think that life for you as an entrepreneur is 'good enough' and be happy with what you've got?
- Where Anna's inspiration to start her YouTube channel began…
- (And what was the difference between NOBODY watching it and growing as part of a business strategy)
- How long does it take to build your skills on a platform like video (or podcasting or writing?)
- The incredible takeaway about LUCK in business from how Anna landed her job as Pop Sugar Fitness host
- The 'Idea Fairy' and why having crystal clarity & vision on how you want your business to run helps you avoid opportunities that are actually distractions in disguise
- What's the RIGHT way to begin building products for your business?
- Should you choose your customers based on who you ACTUALLY like working with?
- Customer & Market Research: Why the least sexy topic of all in marketing could make you the most money
- DEBATE! Anna & I have a difference of opinion about whether you should have a USP and a point of difference from your competitors
- Content creation: How to transition from playing what's in front of you with a 1:1 client to creating useful information on your social media & content platforms

FAILURE. It's an extremely harsh word to use in marketing...
ESPECIALLY since most of the work we do is based on a theory of what *should* work - but is yet untested.
Most podcast episodes, YouTube videos, Facebook group posts or emails you sent in the early days won't make you rich - but that doesn't make you a failure.
Learning to reframe this word - and stop making decisions based on fear of failure - is what Mat Pelletier's new book "Embracing Failure" is all about.
We're covering:
- The story about Matthew Webb, and it's important for entrepreneurs to build their persistence on the way to success
- FEAR of failure: what does it look like and how do we know if it's affecting us?
- (& what's the opposite of that fear? Is it confidence, hope, courage – or something else?)
- How do we tread the line between recklessness and NOT making decisions based around fear of failure?
- Separating head-noise, self-doubt and limiting beliefs from gut feelings in business…
- Why the FIRST thing you need to do when you hit a setback is avoid falling into a daze, and become aware and 'awake' as fast as possible
- The scarcity vs abundance mindset – what is the major difference between how people with these psychologies view business?
- How do we know if we've got that good 'abundance' mindset through by keeping awareness of our language or thoughts or beliefs?
-Can we have an abundance mindset in some areas of life, but not others? (How do we fix that?)
- Should you keep your financial house in order so you aren't stressed about money in business as much – or should you go all-in?
-Enablers: What are they REALLY – and what do they do?
- What's the key to preventing them from giving you a victim's mindset
-Where can we turn to get the OPPOSITE of enabling advice when we're building our biz?
- Mat's homework for you!

- Speed of execution - which path or option is going to get you out on the field implementing your plan the fastest?

]]>In this episode we're examining the three 'states' an entrepreneur's journey can exist in...
The first - called Space Mountain - is characterised by randomness and unpredictability, is one we must avoid at all costs.
It's where we operate from when we have no clear vision of the immediate path in front of us, what we're actually supposed to be working on at any moment and which projects require our attention first.
If we don't know where we're going when we're in Space Mountain, we can't be surprised when we end up not moving forward.
The second - Whitewater - is where the start and finish points of your day, week, projects, schedule and journey are known.
We know what tools we're going to use - and which ones we'll ignore, to avoid the big obstacles and challenges in front of us. We're learning, growing and developing new skills.
The final phase - America's Cup - is the dream life for an entrepreneur.
The waters are easy, the prep-work and professional development has been done - sometimes years in advance. Everything we've worked hard to achieve has been turned into a well-oiled machine of a business, and we're able to produce effortless work and abundance.
Only one of these phases is where we should live for the majority of our time - and it's not the one you think.

]]>BUT your ability to communicate the value of your product, coaching or offer - especially in the online world - is a requirement to make money. How do we do that?
We're uncovering the only three motivating factors that encourage your audience to ACT on the things they could buy from you - and how to integrate them into your presentation or offer.
We'll look at their desire for a shift in status, a new way of feeling about their body or their wellbeing, and how they want their average day to change for better as a result of the coaching and guidance you give them.
Plus, we're touching on the truth about why your audience is cynical - and it's got nothing to do with your expertise or ability to help them as a coach. Most people are cynical of "Personal Transformation" stuff because they don't believe in THEMSELVES and their own ability to get the result.

Getting clear on your values - what you stand FOR and what you stand AGAINST - and communicating that effectively helps your biz grow.
If you try to stifle your true beliefs around what is right and wrong for your audience when they're seeking to achieve their goals...
You're going to lose customers simply because you're trying not to lose customers by making anyone upset.
There is a segment of your marketplace that agrees with your beliefs just as they are - and a segment that doesn't.
Making it clear HOW you get results for people, WHAT your approach does and doesn't include, actually makes it easier for people to decide to purchase from you because they know exactly what they're going to get in your coaching or online course...
And, as an added bonus, it can assist the "Like" factor into the old marketing principle of getting your audience to know, like and trust you.

]]>(Which we know is true after last week's episode)...
How else can we, as health and wellness biz owners, better manage our actions, where our focus goes, how we balance our professional and personal needs, and the desire to achieve our potential?
Here's six big ideas on how that's done:
1. Don't think about your calendar as a to-do list: See LIFE OUTCOMES in the time blocks you've created for yourself
2. Consider before you start the day how you'll FEEL if you've been successful in what you've set out to achieve
3. Know how to manage stressful periods in life, and how to balance yourself when you need to break your routine
4. Create external accountability and set Not-Do-Do Rules for yourself
5. Build in "Stop Work" deadlines for your day, and use the Pomodoro Method
6. Ask yourself what it would take to turn an average day's work into something extraordinary and brilliant

Paul has done it all - and if we ALL made the kind of impact he has, the world would be in an incredible place.
For the first time he's talking about HOW he did it - sharing his thoughts on business, legacy, and what it REALLY means to commit to your dreams.
Visit Paul's website and check out his courses at chekinstitute.com - and tell 'em I sent you!
We spoke about:
- The story about the first time in Paul's career that he found himself in a state of 'flow' and personal fulfilment – and how that's been a cornerstone for his legacy
- The story of Paul nearly flipping a helicopter over with his head – and how that led to his entry to the health and fitness space
- What was Paul doing to the US Army boxing team to reduce athlete injuries to their lowest ever levels?
- Where does the fitness industry's most well read man get his motivation to learn and study – and how did he learn the skill of research?
- Paul's bankruptcy, divorce and living out of his car – and why it's so important to maintain belief and confidence in your own ability to figure things out and get through the challenges of business
- How Australia and New Zealand kept the CHEK Institute afloat after
- The social media platform that was directly responsible for building Paul's profile
- The grand strategy and plan behind Paul's podcast, Living 4D
- Facing the challenges of being a pioneer of holistic health and going against conventional knowledge – what was it that got Paul through all the pushback for his approach?
- How Paul condenses his teachings about the most complex system we know – the human body – into easily-understood principles using incredible communication skills
- How do YOU decide the principles and core messages that you want to entrain in your audience to help them get extraordinary results?
- Where's the balance point for pushing yourself to achieve tremendous things and get the most out of yourself without going too hard and burning out? How do we know when we're doing it RIGHT?
- The moment when Paul realised that there just isn't enough time in the world for one person to help everyone – and why it's up to US as an industry to work together to make an impact
- Should you be in a hurry to develop a greater understanding of yourself and where your limits and your balance point are?
- Finding the balance between working hard to make money, and making money work hard for YOU so you can enjoy life

]]>Nobody wants to be responsible for holding their business back - and nobody wants to get in their own way when it comes to their own success.
Are there some tactical things we should be wary of - and avoid at all costs - because they get in the way of what we're trying to achieve?
I say yes - and here they are:
1. Putting a ceiling on how much - or how often - your best customers can pay you
Sounds super dodgy - but as your business grows you'll get in front of customers who want the most valuable, fastest (and most expensive) shortcut to results you can give them. Why not make it available?
OR you'll have people in your audience who just want MORE content MORE regularly - and having a membership site is a great way to add recurring revenue to your biz.
If there's a segment of your audience that's serious enough to fork out top dollar, or fork out regularly, to learn from you... Why not have something for them?
2. Quitting on a well-thought-out plan
Direct response marketing WORKS - but that doesn't mean that it'll work first time, every time for you.
Once you've developed a clear vision and strategy for how you want your business to run it's up to YOU to stick with it and make it work - because that is definitely going to beat flitting from idea to idea.
3. Under-Investing in your skills
Is there any reason you shouldn't have the best possible chance at crushing your business goals?
Is there any good reason why you should be under-prepared to execute on your strategy?
You'll find that the periods of growth and success in your life will always come right after periods of great learning - so invest the time and money into your ability to become a master at the business model you've chosen.
4. Forgetting that the money stuff comes FIRST
At the top of your weekly plan, your to-do lists, monthly agenda or yearly goals should be tasks, plans and campaigns to make you more money.
That's how you keep your own stress levels low (so you can serve better), and how you get the best results for your clients (see #3 above and think about your customers - substitute the word 'business' for 'health').
Don't let yourself get caught up in the routines of 'having' a business. Your priority is to make the money - and the hours when you're most productive, energised and enthusiastic MUST be filled with money-making activities.
Get the offer in front of the right people, make the product, design the campaign, write the sales page, film the video... Get it done - first.

]]>Fact: It is definitely easier to get results for people when you're working with them 1:1, rather than as a group or through an online course...
So if we care about our clients results, and we're trying our best to get those results for them with an online course, is there a framework we can follow?
Can we leverage what we know about psychology to be a better influencer (in the non-social-media sense of the word) and make our difference?
Yes - there is. Try this on for size - teach your audience:
- WHY they need to do what you suggest (and the reason behind the action...)
- How to do achieve it - especially when they don't want to
- If they're doing RIGHT
- How to know if it's working
Should work pretty good for you - whether you've already created an online course or not, this should be included in your training outline!

]]>When it's not serving you, however, things are different.
When it's not where it needs to be, you'll hold back from getting what you deserve for your ability to help people by telling yourself stuff like I'm not good enough - yet. I'm not smart enough, yet.
I shouldn't send that extra sales email because people might get mad at me. I shouldn't charge that much - why would anyone pay it?
We question ourselves, doubt ourselves, second-guess ourselves, and we get in the way of the work that we know is gonna get us the result we seek. We half-ass things, or we find reasons not to do them at all.
And it's all stories we tell to ourselves. It's not our fault, but it is our responsibility to address.
Let's talk about mindset with Joe Arko - International Fitness Trainer of the Year, founder of the elite performance centre, learn to earn consulting, ATS training systems, host of TV shows and contributor to multiple magazines…
With a bio like that and a list of accomplishments like that, you'd think that this man has a strong mindset and you'd be right. But it didn't happen on purpose - it happens because of conscious intention to have a better mindset.
We spoke about:
- Joe's definition of what being an entrepreneur ACTUALLY means
- The two kinds of mindset – and why Joe chose the growth mindset instead of the fixed….
- And how you can upgrade your own beliefs system to unlock your ability to achieve and produce at a higher level
- The story of Ed Quirk and how Joe learnt the power of intention with our future and destiny
- What Joe learnt from discovering Tony Robbins…
- And how to deal with the social kick-back from people who aren't as interested in mindset and personal development as you are
- How to recognise a NEGATIVE mindset and stop it in it's tracks!
- Should you be paying attention to the language patterns and indicators of mindset of the people around you to bring more awareness to your OWN thoughts?
- Is it possible to out-work a negative mindset? (Wanna bet?)
- The truth about generating momentum with ourselves, and our clients and customers, in the pursuit of our goals
- An example of a mindset challenge that Joe has been facing over the last 18 months – and how he's moving past it
- How quickly does mindset change?
- Does personal development and changing your thought patterns get easier when you start getting early results?
- The strange link between personal development and having a shower
- Failures – how to deal with them, think about them and use them for your own personal benefit

- Using feedback from our close personal circle as a means to improve ourselves
- Joe's heart-to-heat advice for anyone who is struggling right now
- Homework for you!

As well as running her successful YouTube channel, social media and health retreats, Carly is a new mother and figuring out FAST how to make her business and her 'actual life' work in harmony.
We're discussing:
- How Carly's work and business schedule has changed now that she's a new mother
- What to do when 'personal life stuff' pops up and changes how much time you're able to put into your work and navigate that whilst still making progress
- Dealing with pressure and demands from your inner circle on the time spent dedicated to working on your business
- Handling criticism and negativity about how you share your message of health, how you live and the scrutiny that comes from being 'in the spotlight'
- Why your business and message isn't meant to make everyone happy, and why it's ok for you to be as unique and authentic as you like
- "Business Guilt" – dealing with that feeling we get when we're NOT working on our hustle and taking time away for self-care
- Should you give your inner circle the power to give you feedback on when you're out of balance with work?
- How to handle yourself when a day dedicated to your business goes bad, or you get distracted
- A quick discussion about hiring a VA to free up your time from tasks that are time-consuming but don't require your expertise
- Carly's top entrepreneur self-management advice that she's learnt from becoming a mother and juggling the demands of a business
- Carly's homework for you!

]]>And for most of us it's an incredibly risky and assumptive thing to make Underlying Motives the backbone of any marketing message you have.
Why? When you start as an expert in the 1:Many environment of the internet, literally ALL YOU KNOW about your audience is that they're interested in what you have to say.
You've probably never spoken to them - and never will.
You don't know anything about what might motivate them to take action - so 'guessing' at that is, at best, going to make your communication muddled and ineffective...
And, at worst, likely to make potential customers think "Nah, maybe this isn't right for me."
Where should our focus go if not on underlying motives? Let's talk FEELINGS and ESCAPE and look there for some clarity in this episode of the podcast!

]]>"If a man can write a better book, preach a better sermon, or make a better mousetrap than his neighbours, even if his house may be in the woods the world will beat a path to his door"...
The point being if you can make THE BEST product, you'll make THE MOST sales and have the biggest business.
Not so - if you have the most captivating, interesting and visual marketing message about your product...
(Provided that it's something people ACTUALLY WANT and does what you promise it will)...
You'll have the most sales and the biggest business.
How, then, do we make our marketing message easier to consume, more interesting for our audience and more likely to grab - and keep - their attention?
Firstly, we MUST use visual words and paint pictures for our audience - a great lesson we can learn from an advertising man called Elbert Hubbard (who actually wrote that Emerson quote above).
Secondly, we use the most appealing and powerful word in all marketing...
And finally we lean in with energy and enthusiasm.

]]>It's the total polar opposite to the kind of marketing we were all exposed to when we were young - and it's how you build an online business.
Your ability to get a DIRECT RESPONSE with your marketing is our most reliable way to measure how much you'll grow and succeed as an online thought leader...
So instead of viewing our progress through the lens of "Followers, Fans & Likes", let's look at three areas where you SHOULD be measuring and tracking how you're going in your business...
And forget about those "Ego Metrics" that aren't going to a significant factor in how successful you can become...
Plus, it's way too easy to compare your business to someone else's and feel insecure if you aren't keeping an eye on your skills with:
1. COLD TRAFFIC
Do we *really* want people to hit that "Like" button - or do you think that they'd be more likely to interact with you and your business if they started CONSUMING your content...
And eventually your message, podcast, videos or information became a regular part of their week or routine?
Right. So don't worry about LIKES - focus on engagement with Cold Traffic.
2. WARM TRAFFIC
Do we *really* care about how many people "Follow" us on a social media platform when we KNOW that it's more important for them to engage with our business on a more personal level and join your email list?
I'd bet my money on an entrepreneur who can get 100 new email subscribers a month over one who can get 10,000 new Facebook fans a month...
So don't worry about FOLLOWERS - yours or anyone else's - concern yourself with how well you build that list.
3. HOT TRAFFIC
Really, nothing else matters except for how many people buy your stuff and how happy they are with what you give them in return .
How do you do that? With an accurate offer that presents your product in a way that actually makes it sounds good.
Fans, followers and likes are nice, and it's gratifying to have a big audience to respond to...
But your SKILLS with direct-response marketing and your ability to work with cold, warm and hot traffic is what will matter in the long run.

And what a show! Mario travels around the world to host live events and seminars, runs a successful YouTube channel, coaches his clients and moves city every three months.
Any part of that lifestyle might sound like a dream for a lot of people - but the strategy behind the success is simpler than you might think.
We covered:
- How the heck did a Chief Marketing Officer of a big company end up as an online wellness entrepreneur…
- And what kinds of 'inside marketing secrets' has he got to share with us from his previous profession?
- How Mario's YouTube following and subscriber base has allowed him to build his coaching practice (and ANOTHER reminder about why you need to be doing content marketing!)
- What does a live pitch from stage to acquire clients for Mario's business actually sound like?
- What you should be doing if you're creating content and you feel like your message isn't being heard or getting the right kind of exposure that you think it deserves
- The underlying assumption behind EVERY successful business should be "There are people who want my help and are looking for it right now" – so how do you shut off head-noise or self-doubt that might be preventing you from believing that?
- The significance of playing the long-game when you're fulfilling a marketing strategy of any kind – should you try to turn a profit straight away?
- If you aren't getting short-term results with making sales or getting clients immediately, does that mean your marketing is broken?
- The Fortune Is In The Follow-Up: How Mario boosts his coaching client business by using retargeting on Facebook after his events and campaigns
- Mario's method for getting his event registrants to actually attend
- The strategy behind the Evergreen webinar Mario has created to increase awareness of his coaching program
- The thing that Mario would have done differently at the start of his career to become more successful quicker…
- And the thing he would have STOPPED that was preventing his growth!
- Mario's homework for you!

So here it is - an investigation into the "Reverse Life After" Story formula.
Potentially one of the most powerful ways to communicate with your audience to be a better leader and inspire them to change...
But also high-risk and, if you don't know what you're doing, an incredibly obnoxious and unkind way to treat your audience.
Let's look at what the Reverse Life After story IS, when to USE it, the RULES to maintain coolness and goodwill with your audience, and WHAT it can do for you!

You'd assume that the purpose of a story is to make people think you're incredibly smart and good at what you do, right?
Well, that is ONE thing we can try to achieve with a story - but it's actually one of the least powerful formulas that we can use.
Grab a pen, take some solid notes - in this Masterclass we're going through a whole lot of examples of really powerful stories being used by world-class marketers right now, and we're also discussing...

Grab a pen, take some solid notes - in this Masterclass we're going through a whole lot of examples of really powerful stories being used by world-class marketers right now, and we're also discussing...
- WHEN is it ok for you to tell stories with your marketing - and when is it not?
- What are the two things that we want to identify with how story fits into your marketing before we even determine *what* we're going to say?
- Strategy Promotion: How to get your audience to see the world of health, fitness and wellness through the same 'lens' that you do so they actually do the work to achieve their goals
- Overcoming Objections: How to do this without self-aggrandising yourself (or making your audience feel like idiots for having completely normal concerns and facing obstacles)

]]>Chris Dayley, VP of Site Testing for Disruptive Advertising and a ridiculously smart marketer, joins us for a masterclass on Conversion Rate Optimisation.
Your ability to turn visitors to your website, Landing Pages and Sales Pages into email subscribers and customers is a major determining factor in the growth of your business.
If you're twice as effective at conversion, you can double your email list, customer base, your profit and therefore your business without doing ANY extra work - so this is important to learn.
Grab a pen and some paper - this is a writer-downer and an episode you DEFINITELY should revisit whenever you're building Landing Pages to grow your email database.
We covered:
- TRAFFIC AND CONVERSION: If these are the two primary functions of marketing, what the heck do they mean?
- User Experience: Why amount of 'trouble' that someone has with using your website is a key factor you must first search for, and overcome
- Psychology and Marketing: What happens when these two different science worlds meet to build businesses
- What can happen to your audience if you try to use educated, 'fancy' health or medical words online? Can this work really well, or is it a huge mistake?
- The story about Air BnB (One of the most important lessons in direct-response marketing you'll hear)
- Has conversion optimisation become hugely more important in 2019 with the current landscape of the internet and attention?
- What you can learn about conversion from the largest e-commerce business in the world
- Client Case Study from Disruptive Advertising: Understanding the "Why" behind your marketing strategy and the psychology and strategy of a Landing Page or Sales Page
- Your Thank-You Page: Best practices for this crucial page in your email list-building strategy
- Math, data and analytics: Why knowing your REAL numbers is key to growing your email list and making more sales (and is surprisingly much simpler than you might think)
- How many people need to actually visit or convert on your website for us to KNOW if we're increasing conversion rates?
- Why conversion rate optimisation must be viewed from the perspective of "Where are my web page visitors actually coming from?"
- A/B Testing Deep Dive: The three phases of testing your website conversion optimisation…
- Part One: EXISTENCE (try removing some content on your page to see if the audience likes it better)…
Which stuff should you start eliminating and testing first?
- Part Two: Refine Value Proposition (what are you actually promising with your offer? Should it change?)
Also… What the heck is a value proposition and how do you find out what these are for you?
- How quickly can we declare one web page a 'winner' compared to another one?
- What sorts of tools do you need to do A/B Testing?
- Phase Three: EXPLORE (Adding new elements to your landing page – and when it's appropriate to do this)
You can (and really should) get Chris' A/B Testing Starter Guide here.

Top Biz Takeaways is back! Today we're diving into UNSTOPPABLE: How to Get Through Hell, Overcome Anxiety, and Dominate in Business and Life by Craig Ballantyne.
Known as the most disciplined man in the world, Craig is a man who struggled through pretty fierce anxiety...
A man who took responsibility for himself and realised what we all should know: The way we feel is under our control...
And there's a pretty predictable pattern of lifestyle and psychology choices we make that can set us free from anxious emotions, or keep us caged.
Our Top Biz Takeaways Are:
1. (Totally unrelated to anxiety) The Power of Story
Listen - people will FORGET how what you say, and they'll FORGET what you do with your marketing...
They'll NEVER forget how you make them feel - Craig's book is an extraordinary example of using story to grab attention and build tension that's worth modelling.
2. Run Your Own Race As An Entrepreneur
It's likely that the structure and discipline you need to be successful is very different to what everyone else around you needs to bring to their lives...
It's ok for you to be different and not receive positive reinforcement! Your journey is different.
3. Don't Get Caught In The Comparison Trap
4. Talk It Out
The thoughts that get 'stuck' in our heads are more easily processed when we be honest with our support network about how we feel.
Often times we feel better about ourselves just by knowing that we're supported, admired, and respected for what we're trying to do - so make sure you share your journey with those that cheer you on.

Building an online business does NOT have to be complicated. It's not easy, but you can craft a strategy to serve & grow rich on one sheet of paper...
So save your seat and let's get to work creating that plan!
Registration, the class schedule and details can be found here.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to over-think and overachieve at the same damn time, right?
Can you ever perform at your highest level, produce your greatest work and concentrate on creating a business if your mind is always running with self-doubt, concern or second-guessing yourself?
Surely not - so if you ever find yourself
if you ever find yourself doing stuff, trying to work and be productive yet thinking hey…
Is this right? Am I on the correct path here? Is this the highest and best use of my time, or is there something else that I should be doing with these hours I've dedicated that might be more effective…
In other words, if you're an OVERTHINKER, here's how to move to being an overachiever:
1. Stop - everything, right now - and get a plan
2. Acknowledge that EVERYTHING you do is practice for the future until you're amazing at it
3. Back your decisions and never consider alternatives once you've made up your mind
4 Don't train yourself to procrastinate, think or deliberate... Train yourself to work

Registration details & our agenda for this live class can be found here.
Onto today's show!
This is a marketing show - but your ability to produce, work and get things done will EXPONENTIALLY increase any results you might get from the biz/marketing tactics, principles or strategies you learn in other episode.
Sara Fennell, business coach and marketing strategist for fit pros - and host of a very, VERY good podcast called The Fulfilment Project, joins me today to discuss some key tools in this area.
First of all, you're going to hear an incredible story of overcoming and exactly what life *can* look like if our ability to perform at a higher level is non-existent.
We're covering:
- What is high performance? Does this involve MORE than just being super productive and focused all the time?
- How Sara 'accidentally' started doing online fitness coaching and training – and replaced her 'normal job' income within 30 days launching her website…
- (and went on to become one of the best in the business!)
- What does the OPPOSITE of high performance look like? The incredible story of what happens before Sara's "Low Point" of her life
- If your close inner circle ISN'T full of people as obsessed with high performance as you – and if you are the average of the five people you spend the most time around… What the heck do you do?
- Are ALL high performers generally great at giving up their need for instant gratification – and how do we do that?
- How do we plan out our weeks to get the most amount of 'stuff' done possible and STILL have plenty of time for our non-work lives?
- The importance of self-awareness for improving your capacity to perform at an extraordinary level
- Does your intimate relationship have a significant impact on how well you can produce and work, or should we 'silo' our personal and professional lives?
- How do we stay in control of our emotions so that our days run smoothly rather than experiencing emotional ups and downs?
- Do high performers spend a lot of time 'getting ready' to do their work?
- Sara's NLP coach – what can we learn about high-performance from this area of psychology?
- How do we go about rewriting negative thought patterns that might exist in our minds that prevent us from working and performing at a higher level?
- Do you actually NEED to be a morning person as a prerequisite to being a high-performer?
- Sara's homework for you!
Don't forget to check out the Canadian Fitness Business Summit if you're a fitness professional - it's on April 13th & 14th, and tickets are on sale for a special discount until this Thursday!

]]>Speaking and writing - but with specific goals and outcomes in mind.
Marketing is meant to do three things - and these are skills as well: to entertain (or grab attention), educate and influence.
If you can pair these two different sets of skills together, we have six areas where we can massively improve your ability to build your business, audience and impact on your community.
Let's dive deep into some skill-building drills you can use (and a bunch of frameworks to help you get momentum) - and good news...
You've got FIVE MINUTES of dead-time, at least, that you can dedicate every single day to practice your speaking.
You have five minutes that you can schedule to dedicate to practice your ability to write...
So for the next 30 days, make a commitment to following through with these drills to improve your skills.
It may not pay off today, or tomorrow, or at the end of 30 days, but here's what I know...
When you can SPEAK and WRITE in a way that does an extraordinary job of entertaining, educating and influencing your audience...
The likelihood of you building a successful business is infinitely higher than if you can't grab attention, help your audience get one (or perhaps several) steps closer towards their goal...
And it's almost ZERO if you can't influence them to take action as a direct result of your communication with them.

]]>Well, things can appear SUPER overwhelming and weird when you're working on your own strategy...
And watching and modelling how other people who have years of experience are running their businesses.
Here's four Expert Secrets about digital marketing that nobody kinda ever really talks about, that you MIGHT learn with experience, but should really know about now so you can be more successful:
1. Stop Thinking Like A Marketer
(Think about compounding valuable assets instead)
2. Results In Advance Raises Desire
(Which is why every big marketing campaign is always built around some kind of educational training as a precursor to 'the pitch')
3. Follow A Framework...
For everything. Ain't nothing harder - or, worse, more time-consuming - than trying to write or create from a blank page. Do this instead.
4. No Absolutely Never Means No - Almost.
If you think that people not taking the action you want them to means they're saying "No" to your marketing...
You'd be surprised if you could peek behind the scenes of a successful online thought leader's business - because you'd see people saying "No, no, no, no, no, no, no... YES!" all the damn time.

]]>Here's a run-down of some stuff you can STOP doing that's going to make your year more successful.
In order for us to move from where we're at to where we want to go we need to leave some stuff behind.
Old mindsets, old limiting beliefs, old habits, old ideas.
Let's talk about some stuff that is probably costing you energy, abundance, progress and growth in your life that you can let go of to move forward for this year.
1. Sacrificing Sleep For Work...
(Or feeling bad about not working when you know you should be sleeping)
2. The "If I Could Just" Goal
A lot of the results you'll achieve in 2019 are dictated by your sense of identity...
Are you a million-dollar a year expert, or a $60-an-hour expert?
The mindset and perception you have of your goals and what they'll mean to you mean a lot to your long-term achievement in life.
3. Thinking About Sales As Coercion...
Really, you can't influence or persuade ANYONE to buy something if they don't want it.
I've never bought something I didn't want - so when you are in the act of offering a product, service, coaching or whatever with your marketing...
You can relax. You don't have to convince anybody of anything - if they're listening, the desire is already there, you've just got to explain how your thing fits the need.
4. Thinking That More Successful People Are "Special"
You do something every day for years and you're inevitably going to get good at it.
So when someone else in our space is crushing it, making money, having great influence and impact on their community, serving and receiving and running a wildly successful business...
Don't think they're a unicorn. They're a businessperson, an entrepreneur and a marketer who leveraged repetition, effort and intention repeatedly over time...
Three things that are available to us all - so there is no 'Talent Gap'.

]]>Have you set yourself a financial goal for this year?
Chances are you have - and (if you're anything like me), you're aware of the fact that you've done that in the past and not succeeded.
What the heck is going on here? Sean Croxton of The Quote Of The Day Show and creator of Money Mind Academy is here to give us the scoop...
Because it's one thing to know all the tactics, strategies and 'how-to' stuff when it comes to achieving goals - but another entirely to have the right beliefs and values behind them.
Self-sabotage, expecting to fail (and not doing any work to avoid that failure), low self-esteem, lack of confidence and other negative patterns can derail any of us.
We must address them.
Once you've listened to today's episode, sign up for Sean's upcoming webinar How To Crush Your 2019 Money Goals on Tuesday, January 8th at 2019moneyclass.com.
(A replay will be available to anyone who can't make it live - so sign up, and I'll see you there!)
In today's monster episode, we're covering:
- Why the heck is Sean so interested in money and money mindset?
- How do you know if you've got a really solid mindset and set of beliefs and values around money?
- What role does conflict – internally and psychologically – do to our ability to achieve our money goals?
- Self-esteem: How closely does this tie to the abundance you'll experience externally?
- Is having positive expectancy and believing that what you're doing in your business will actually worksignificant to your results, or is that woo-woo stuff?
- Identifying where your values lie – and what to do if building wealth and making money isn't a high priority in your life
- Self-awareness and getting clarity on your real beliefs around wealth, sales and marketing
- Do you ACTUALLY pick up mental programming from your parents, and can that impact the quality of your life?
- How significant culture is for your pursuits to become a successful person
- Remember Maslow and his Hierarchy of Needs? Yeah – you need to know about this when you're trying to change your habits around money, business and wealth…
- And a real-life story of how Sean has transcended struggles in business by raising self-esteem and understanding these Hierarchy of Needs
- How to protect your newfound money mind beliefs and values from people who are more negative or not in alignment with your level of development
- The Fear Flow: Sean goes deep in what is probably one of the most significant lessons in psychology I've ever heard
- What's the difference between striving to be the happiest person in the world, or being the wealthiest person in the world?
- Should we believe that old advice that money wont make you happy?
- Is money in business – making sales, getting customers, earning a great profit – really a zero-sum game or are we meant to let it flow to and through us a LOT?
- Having compassion for yourself (and the people in your audience): why this is one of the most empowering emotions a businessperson can maintain
- A conversation about how to get lucky in business

]]>Could any other word better describe the transition from building a 1:1 practice working with clients to a big and successful online empire?
REINVENTION is the topic of today's show with Damion Lupo, author of Reinvented Life...
And reinvention is a challenging, yet incredibly powerful, transformation that we all must go through to take our lives and results to the next level...
(Yep, that is doubly true for the audience, followers and customers of a wellness expert!)
We spoke about:
- What does it really mean to reinvent yourself – and why does this matter if you're trying to find a new way to serve the world with your health expertise?
- Damion's story about how he reinvented himself from being an over-consumer (which is MASSIVELY similar to the journey that most people on a health journey will need to walk too!)
- Asking hard questions: Is this the key to self-awareness and changing our beliefs, habits and careers?
- What really triggers us to attempt to reinvent our lives and why it's so important to become emotionally attached to it!
- The REAL reason why self-confidence and certainty around the success of what we're building in business matters so deeply
- How to be a great leader and empower YOUR audience with certainty and confidence to deliver results for them…
- And why the level of responsibility you take for your own life matters to how you're perceived by others
- Why it's more important to focus on mastery as a metric than success or revenue (ESPECIALLY the revenue!), customers, social media following or email subscribers
- Leveraging the 'consequences' of our actions to make the process of building a business more pleasurable and bring more flow & ease to our day-to-day activities
- Journaling: Why this matters to much to our ability to be intentional with our work, our habits and what we need to do to fulfil our values
- Trigger events: Why certain nudges from the universe that cause us pain or inner turmoil MUST be listened to (and how to know when you're on the right path with your business)
- Damion's homework to help your evolution and growth in 2019, and to become hugely successful!

]]>But in 2019 you must be doing something to get attention and build relationships with your audience - and Facebook Groups are a brilliant way to do that...
They just work - so let's investigate.
This week on the show we're joined by Kathleen LeGrys, cohost of The Wellness Business Podcast and host of the Health Coach Biz Support FB Group.
We're diving deep to find out what YOUR Facebook Group needs in order to become successful...
And how to run one without burning yourself out or spending hours of time there doing stuff that doesn't help your business (or your followers).
We're covering:
- What led Kathleen from working 1:1 with nutrition clients to creating a program that would get results for everyone who needed her help
- Who legitimately NEEDS to have a Facebook group…
- And if that's NOT you, what the heck else can you doing to go all-in to build relationships with people in your community?
- Why is a Facebook group better than a Facebook Page if you're going to be posting a lot of content to that platform…
- And what are Facebook's intentions for how they want people to use their platform – does this affect your strategy?
- Should your group be closed, private or public?
- What is the "Theme" of your Group meant to be based around?
- When it's ok to NOT be a natural leader and run a Facebook Group
- Why the growth of your Group is dependant upon the clarity of how well you communicate the BENEFITS of being a member
- Does Kathleen approve *everyone* who applies to join her group? (Wanna bet?)
- The right kinds of questions to put in front of people who apply for your group to keep engagement high (and that helps out your content marketing too!)
- The RIGHT sort of content to put in front of new members straight away to encourage higher engagement and enthusiasm about being a part of your group
- How a FB Group growth strategy should tie in to a list-building strategy
- Kathleen's content posting schedule for her Health Coach Peer Support group
- A bunch of ideas to increase engagement in your group (and why this call to action to ENGAGE has to start for new members as soon as they join)
- What do you do if you've just created a new group and nobody is engaging with you?
- How a Facebook Group can be leveraged to ascend members into customers or as part of a promotion (and what 'overkill' looks like when you're selling in your group)…
- And how promoting through a Facebook Group is different from the way you promote with email
- Kathleen's 2019 homework for you!

Here's what everybody ought to know about this topic...
There's a few things that you can do - and a few mindsets that can infect us - that make this process tremendously uncool for the buyer and the seller.
I love talking about this topic - and the reason why is simple:
You won't really get your head around how great it is to sell a bunch of stuff - products, coaching services, courses, whatever - until you've done it.
Until you know how sweet it can be to make a bunch of money in a short period of time, not have everyone hate you for having something for sale...
And get some emails from customers who were super happy with the experience and results you got them...
You won't fully understand just how good selling a bunch of stuff is.
So with that full disclaimer, let's talk about how to make a sales pitch, an offer or a dignified invitation SUPER unfriendly and what you need to avoid...
And five things that you can integrate into your beliefs about money and selling, the way you offer your product, how you polarise your audience and when you just relax!

So let's talk about a mindset PLUS a strategy for action that actually *does* increase the effectiveness of your marketing.
Good news - this will work for you whether you're doing email marketing, social media, promotions, campaigns, launches, or putting any kind of call-to-action in front of your audience.
Without real clarity on what's the best practices to get a response in marketing - and the TRUTH behind why we sometimes don't...
It's easy to psyche ourselves out and assume that if our marketing doesn't work, it's because we're not good.
Actually, if our marketing doesn't work oftentimes we're just not asking persistently enough - which is where Positive Projection can lend a hand.

Meg Clarke of Clapping Dog Media joins me on the show to go deep into the fundamentals of SEO.
We're covering:
- Why Meg, a web designer by trade, turned to SEO after building great sites but realising her customers weren't getting any more traffic
- What the heck is SEO?
- And is this only relevant to Google, or do YouTubers and Podcasters need to know about this for their platforms too?
- What kind of 'metrics' matter to Google when it's reviewing your website and determining if you should rank higher
- How to know if you're doing SEO properly and the right stats to watch to manage your efforts properly
- Am I right for being a sceptic of SEO and a fan of advertising instead?
- How do we actually "do" SEO? Is it something that's relevant to our content, or the home page of our website?
- How to know if what you're currently 'known for' matches what your intentions are for your business and brand
- (and how catastrophically bad for your website's presence on Google if you get this wrong)
- How to ethically "spy" on your competition to see what's already being searched for in your niche
- (& three free tools that will help you do this)
- Getting inside the mind of people who are actually searching on Google and how to reverse-engineer their website experience to make sure that it's seamless and easy for them to stay on you site
- How to set up very specific & precise landing pages for Google to send traffic to
Here's the example of one of these landing pages on Meg's blog:

Let's go back to a November many, many moons ago when I was running my health business, and about to launch a big event...
And I was scared out of my mind because I knew I was about to have the absolute worst week ever.
I share this story with you because at some point in your marketing career you're going to have a "Fail" - and it's how we think about ourselves, how well we maintain and preserve our confidence in those times...
That makes the difference between it making more sense for us to quit, or pushing forward and achieving our goals.
Truth is, we're almost at the end of the year - and November, to me, is the month of Rebirth.
So whether you've had a great year or a terrible one, in about six weeks there are going to be LOADS of people looking to buy a health course, training or coaching program that can help them achieve their 2019 goals.
Will you be there and ready to meet them? Have you got a product made and ready to go yet?
If not you can grab a copy of my How To Create An Online Health Product training - I've put a special deal up on this page for you...

I agree - so let's talk content to end out the week: Specifically, how to increase awareness and consumption of your content.
Obviously social media is our best tool to do this - but there are FOUR different steps and processes we need to follow (and a bonus one!) to maximise our content's chance of building your business.
Let's figure out...
- What your "MONEY PLATFORM" on Social Media is going to be - and talk about what to do if you're a solopreneur or if you have a team supporting your social media content
- "EXTRACT THE MEAT" & why your big piece of content should actually fuel multiple pieces of micro-goodness for social
- REPURPOSE ACROSS MEDIA MODALITY and how to reach new audiences - regardless of how they enjoy browsing through social media
- REPURPOSE ACROSS TIME and best-practices for broadcasting & distributing to the world about your new content
- A BONUS! There's a difference between "Marketing Hard" and "Marketing Smart" - and it's found between *guessing* and *hoping* a strategy or tactic will work...
And just scaling what you already KNOW is crushing it.

It's hard running a solo show. When you begin your own business with nobody to tell you what to do but yourself, right, when you're the boss - when you're responsible for whether you grow or not - when you're the boss…
AND you're responsible for the work - being the employee - writing the emails, building the website, creating the landing pages and content and products…
Damn, that's confusing. Here's four big ideas on how to be your own boss (without burning yourself out or failing to reach your potential):
1. Get serious clarity on what your personal needs are
2. Don't let The Boss down (by being disengaged)
3. Do MORE than is expected of you

My guest today, Lee Caraher, is the founder of communications agency Double Forte, and a master at what she says is the role of good branding:
Knowing what to say, when, and who to say it to.
We covered:
- What "PR" and communications actually is – and why it's relevant to an online business
- Why this area of marketing should actually be easier for a smaller, newer business than one which has been operating successfully for many years
- The two words that define what 'branding' actually is – and should you begin by getting clarity on yourself, or clarity on your audience
- What it looks like when branding is done very well, and what it looks like when done poorly
- How branding and good business communication affects the consumer and customer – and what kind of relationship you want to generate when people discover your biz
- Simple messaging is best – but how much simplicity is 'too much' and how can we use that to make ourselves more trustworthy?
- Memories: Why this is one of Lee's major goals with marketing and PR, and how to use them to generate deeper relationships with your audience
- The most common and worst marketing and branding mistakes Lee sees her clients making – and what you should be avoiding at all costs!

Whether that offer is for someone to buy coaching, a product, a mastermind, get a Lead Magnet, register for an event - anything at all - what we don't want to be is soft.
You've heard Shari and Colleen over the last two weeks dropping some emotional intelligence and heart-based selling truth bombs - those are the sales skills. Let's talk about what you're selling, because if you want to be soft with your approach to the pitch…
You do NOT want to be soft with what you're offering - and this applies to any call-to-action that you place on the internet.
We're talking about this kind of stuff because it's important whether you are writing copy for a landing page, trying to get people to book a strategy call or whatever you want to name it, whether you're doing email marketing and driving people to a sales page - whatever.
Let's get into things! You need to be extremely clear and precise about:
- The middle of the sentence "If You Want ____, This Is Specifically For You"
- What you're actually SHOWING people
- Good copywriting formulas and methods

Successful people NEVER give themselves reasons to lose belief, hope or give away their personal power when they talk.
Here are 5 things you might be able to recognise and be mindful of when you speak about your business:
1. I'm NOT Good At That (So I'll Stop)
2. It's Hard For Me To Do That (So It Must Not Be Right)
3. Easier Said Than Done (So I'll Put My Focus Elsewhere)
