Walton did have an advantage that Frankenstein didn’t and that was that there were other people around to influence Walton’s actions
This is a very important point. What do you think the implications are? That is, what might Shelley be saying about the “genius” working in isolation versus the visionary who works with others and is part of the community? It’ll be interesting to see if this theme crops up again during the semester.
