Same here! In fact, even if I don’t actually write anything, the mere act of holding a pen over a blank notebook changes how I read.

While I’m not suggesting it as I’ve only been trying for a month, the one piece I find has really changed my reading habits is to always read with a pen in my hand. I don’t type notes, or highlight passages, I have to write “in my own words” the synopsis of any idea I have. I found this to have greatly changed how I read. It’s also reminded me I really need to practice my handwriting 😛
