I always like to lay claim to being the first RHCP fan in SouthCoast, “discovering” them at least three years before they made it big.
I tried to get them played during senior study at Old Rochester back in 1988, but all I got was “what the hell is this crap, Comey?”
When I go to our ORR 25 year reunion in a week, I must be sure to let everyone know I was right. they are in the Rock Hall of Fame, and dudes are playing their songs at the Feast.
The weather is beautiful, 70 and cool like the first week of October, and I am sitting front row and center. Life is good, although they are out of bifana, cacoila and french fries, which I would have liked at least one of.
Stage 3 has a cool setup; while the people stroll through “Carnival Alley,” if you have a seat in the stands you can just relax, watch the band with the speakers blasting at you and see the elevated stage at eye level.
]]>Jordan shared the stage with Josh Groban in 2011, and is hoping to follow in Groban’s footsteps.
