After much thought—and fourteen years of weekly Castings—I have decided to put the weekly blog on the back burner. I will still give public lectures and also private readings with existing and new clients but this will be the last weekly blog for the foreseeable future. I intend to devote my time to another project I have been working on for a long time.
I will still be contactable through the website and by email if you have any questions or need any help. Thank you for your support throughout the years. It has meant more than you can know.
Tristitia in the 10th house (Sagittarius) indicates some sudden and unexpected change in your world. Not all sudden changes are unexpected and not all unexpected changes are sudden. This is likely to be both, however. It is likely that this change will be to the scope of your work situation, particularly with regard to the long-term.
Given that the placement is in Sagittarius it is likely that there will be some additional learning or training involved, or that you will need to gain additional skills and especially knowledge to continue to grow.
There may even be a change in the direction of your role. At first glance this may sound concerning but it is actually a good thing and you will likely find a new enthusiasm in your projects.
Cauda Draconis in the 4th house (Gemini) indicates that you will also want to balance out things which need attention at home. This geome indicates that it will largely a matter of keeping people happy without too much extra work for you (other than maybe a few cosmetic changes).
That word ‘balance’ is the key here as you may feel as much pushed one way as pulled another. The need for balance is clear in the geomes. Note that they are not only in opposition in the Casting but in structure, too: where one has a single Tap the other has double Taps and vice versa.

The Active Transform this week is Via (4) in the 7th house (Virgo). When you hear that there is an opposition aspect in the Casting it can seem that the situation will be difficult or unpleasant. Much more likely is a change of direction and a ‘getting rid of the old to make way for the new’ kind of regeneration.
This placement indicates a clear case of a beneficial placement. Via is expressing new opportunities with a greater connection with the outside world (10th house and new Tap at Level 4). It is beneficial as a whetstone is to a dull blade. By clearing away what is not effective the situation is refreshed and rejuvenated, new purpose found and a new connection with your core established.
The Pars Uranii is in the 7th house (Virgo). When you are in an open and receptive position you will very likely find useful ideas, comments and suggestions from others which provide you with key information and help. Comments may be quietly spoken, soft and in an almost throwaway manner. But by being receptive they can prove to be very beneficial to you. Stay open to them.

Conjunctio in the 1st house (Pisces) shows that at the start of the week you may feel that you are a just a passive channel for all that is going on around you. This might make you feel a little out of place because you want to be directing things instead of being the medium through which things happen. Rest assured that through clear and methodical relationships any personal and professional tensions may be resolved. Clear communication and shared planning are necessary to bring everybody on board. Teamwork and cooperation should be a focus. Wiser heads with an eye to detail will usually prevail.

This coming Thursday is Ostera, the Spring Equinox. I will be performing the water-gifting to a tree in the garden to mark the occasion. I feel it is a way of connecting with nature and, in a small way, helping the season’s growth.
Cauda Draconis in the 12th house (Aquarius) gives the first indication that ‘surprise’ is the theme of the week. That will still be the case even if you know surprise is coming! Here it represents a concern that has been bubbling away at the back of your mind that suddenly pops up for attention.
Perhaps you need to get rid of some old ways of thinking even though there may be some resistance to letting them go. What may be surprising is to realise that you can let go of stuff that no longer serves you. A second surprising thing is how quickly this realisation comes upon you. One minute you’re working along quite happily and the next you’re thinking ‘wait a minute, why on earth am I doing this? What’s the actual benefit here?’. What has brought this about? It’s likely some new avenue of thought and you get a new context for what’s going on. So what should you do?
Via in the 5th house (Cancer) is in its natural sign and provides a powerful influence. Well, surprise number 2 is that the way forward can take a number of forms.
First you may find a small amount of new money coming your way. You may find it useful to nurture any artistic tendency you have. This is also a time to express your emotional ideas, especially the ones just mentioned that have been bubbling away for some time. You are likely to find that this is an emotionally fulfilling time. Opportunities to make social contacts suddenly appear. This may be a new contact, for example, a new person in your life with whom you experience instant connection.
This placement also indicates good fortune in general: this might be financial good fortune if you dare take a chance. Given that the placement is in Cancer, don’t risk more than you can comfortably afford to lose, however!
Another surprise may be how quickly you can get the tools, people and other resources together to do what needs to be done.
The Pars Draconii is in the 6th house (Leo). Don’t feel that you have to support every worthy cause and every sad case. You will need to judge on clear merit and not purely on emotions.

In taking the actions you do and grasping opportunities as they present themselves you are likely to find it surprising how well things go! It can be so easy to make changes you may wonder why you didn’t make them before. It’s like throwing all your weight at a door only to find that it swings open easily. You may even find that progress runs away with you.
So why didn’t you do this before? Why did it take so long?
The answer to that is because it wasn’t the right time in Flow.

Caput Draconis in the 1st house (Pisces) indicates that you are open to new ideas for moving forward this week. It’s likely that what was uncertain will start to become more concrete even if it does not end up fully formed. Thoughts will start to translate from plans and ideas into action. The overall theme of the week will be this ‘concreting’ or hardening process. It will help to have some idea of where you want to get to even if the journey to get there is not fully mapped out.
Laetitia in the 4th house (Gemini) allows the Neptunian feeling of the Ascendant (1st house) to continue. Given that it resides in Gemini it indicates that as the week progresses you will start to firm up plans from a range of options. It will be up to you to settle matters and bring an increasing degree of control to the situation. One of the ways you can do this is by having clear lines of communication and understanding. Remove ambiguity and make your feelings very clear. Know what you want and do not shy away from expressing it clearly. You don’t need to make things difficult for others, just be clear as to the boundaries of what is and is not needed (‘We can spend up to £X but no more than that’; ‘I can chat for an hour but then I really have to do Y, okay?’).
Once your plans and ideas are set you will find that you can use them as a guide to what you will need for the journey. If something doesn’t fit, get rid of it. If something looks useful then keep it. Plans will change, but know what you seek.

It warns about sharing your ideas too freely until things are more settled and, better still, actually in the bag. Play your cards close to your chest in the early stages. It’s you that will have to live with the results so you need to feel comfortable that they are your plans.

The Active Transform this week is Via (234) in the 7th house (Virgo). This gives a very clear indication of opportunities to work in partnership with others. Partnership in this sense doesn’t necessarily mean that you will be sitting at the same bench together but rather as a member of a team or partnership working towards a common goal which is agreed and understood by all. Doing so will give you the opportunity to practice much of what you want to have happen and the journey will be challenging but favourable.
Rogues
There were two Rogues this week.
Conjunctio in the 12th house (Aquarius). Keep things simple. Just move from A to B. Listen to your intuition, especially when it tells you about matters that are wider and deeper and that have not been previously considered.
Fortuna Minor in the 4th house (Gemini). Don’t get too bogged down in the ‘how’ of your plans at this time as matters are still in flux. If you make too detailed plans you will only have to change them later.
That was a fairly complex Casting so let’s distill down the main path of Flow:
Figure out what you want, where you want to go and how you want to get there simply and directly. Firm up your options without being dogmatic. Plans of the journey are very likely to change even if the destination doesn’t. Keep your cards close to your chest. If you do this the opportunity to realise the goal you seek will crystalise.

Fortuna Minor in the 6th house (Cancer) suggests that there will be some duty or service, probably at work, that you will need to consolidate. This will be a positive opportunity, even if it seems to come dressed in work clothes. The sextile aspect shows that it will bring you good fortune and generally be a productive time.
There may also be fleeting moments of recognition or success in the workplace, but as you aren’t necessarily doing it to get noticed, that will be just a bonus. What it does mean is that you should not miss the opportunity to capitalise, leverage and build when opportunity does knock, however.

You will find that there is a potential to gain from whatever you invest your resources in. For example, your time with others may be invested in joint ventures. Your finances might also benefit from investments and working with others.
While this is a favourable placement you will be best served by taking a clear and methodical approach to matters of finance and personal growth. There’s a strong possibility of accumulating more resources for yourself through careful planning and attention to detail.

The Active Transform is Carcer (12) in the 10th house (Scorpio). This suggests that you can consolidate the changes which have been happening and lock-in an approach for all to see.

Remarkably the same geomes were drawn and in the same sequence as last week. The Casting has a very different interpretation though because the houses are different, as is the aspect between the geomes. Finally, there are two Rogues in the mix to be added into the Casting.
Aquisitio in the 5th house (Gemini) indicates the possibility of gain from your social contacts. This growth is likely to be in areas of creativity, romance and self-expression. With Jupiter’s influence, there may be an expansion of opportunities for personal enjoyment and artistic pursuits. The combination of Gemini and the 5th house also suggests there may be some gossip going around mixed in with the busy socialising. The advice here is to listen but not to indulge.
Whatever comes this week comes in two parts—good and bad. Pay attention to this. Keep the good, ignore the bad. Accept the truth, dismiss the lies.
Albus in the 2nd house (Pisces) suggests a calm and thoughtful approach to finances and personal resources. You are likely to find more mental clarity in your material concerns. The square aspect however advises caution in what might seem like obvious and intuitive uses of your finances.

Aquisitio in the 8th house (Virgo) seems very clear that there is going to be a gain of some kind through other people’s resources. In other circumstances this might indicate that you were going to benefit through the detail in someone’s will or legacy generally. In taking this more widely, however, we can look at other people’s resources, particularly with regard to money. Other people’s money (or the resources that flow from it) could be put at your disposal this week. Look for someone investing in you somehow.
You may find this happening in connection with some medical issue or perhaps there is some other service-related matter, possibly related to some scientific or administrative role.
Albus in the 4th house (Taurus) suggests that those matters will either directly or indirectly take some of the pressure of you at home once things are completed.
Either way, Flow indicates that a firm foundation and wisdom will then likely prevail. You will also find that what had been challenging and a bit of a head-scratcher gets sorted out through what seems like Providence taking a hand.
In reality it is more likely that the dam has broken and that energies and thoughts can now flow more freely now that an obstacle has been removed. (It would be probably more correct to say, now that you have acquired something you didn’t have before.)

Overall, this is an improving set of circumstances, thanks to the trine aspect. Your efforts with an external benefactor will pay dividends at home. Practical ideas emerge. Inspiration allows you to think of new approaches and to experiment with new outcomes.
The Pars Jovii is in the 9th house (Libra) and suggests that you might feel somewhat entangled in some long-term decision-making at the moment. But the trine aspect bodes well that you will be able to navigate this in a straightforward way.

Flow is concerned with the same three houses as the last Casting, but different geomes are telling the story this week.
Via in the 3rd house (Pisces) brings newness to the week. Metaphorically this shows the position at low tide. Much mystery in the change process could be laid bare. This might seem to be a time of out with the old and in with the new, but be cautious. While the situation might be deep it doesn’t have to be dramatic. There aren’t likely to be any fireworks or flashing lights, just a realisation that change is happening.
You are likely to find a number of ideas as to what might be next popping up. There will be lots of possibilities. It will be tempting to have a clean sweep and to want to clear the board, as it were, and to get rid of the old ways of doing things. You can add into that mix in your heightened sensitivity to the feelings of others. Avoid letting your mind and feelings wander.
Laetitia in the 2nd house (Aquarius) follows on in Flow and indicates that various and disparate threads and possibilities are likely to open up. But it should quickly become apparent how much effort is required for each one.
Much of the effort required to bring about meaningful change is likely to be seen as arduous. This is just a perception, however. Their situation may not be exactly like yours, and their solution may not be exactly what you are looking for, but your acceptance of a different viewpoint will prove useful. A change is in the air after the strong forces of the last two weeks…
Albus in the 3rd house (Pisces) shows that you will be very perceptive of others’ thoughts and feelings. This will be very useful to you as you are likely to see the need for a change in an important situation this week. Something has been unclear—possibly even mysterious—until now and you are in the mood to clear it up.
You will also likely find that you can communicate complex ideas with clarity and passion. This is something that you will find you can apply to yourself (in understanding situations and positions) and also to others in order to help them understand what is going on and what is needed.
Do not be too surprised if this aspect draws you into the need for creative ways of writing or speaking your message.

Grow and steadily increase where you are able, particularly if you can increase new skills and knowledge. There are great opportunities to expand your personal strengths and stability of circumstances.
The Pars Mercurii is in the 12th house (Sagittarius) this week. This provides an enigmatic corollary: Some wisdom can be ignored. For example, have you noticed that almost every proverb has an opposite piece of wisdom? ‘Look before you leap’ is the opposite of ‘He who hesitates is lost’. Choose the wisdom that matters and applies to your situation.
The lesson from this is to be diligent in separating caution from fear.

It has to be said from the outset that this is a very unusual Casting, especially as it comes so closely after such an unusual Casting last week.
It would be easy to see the interpretation as something like a scene from one of the ‘power soap operas’ of the 80’s, such as Dallas or Dynasty. As that is not likely to be most readers’ lived experience the interpretation has been toned down somewhat. (If you do move in more ‘elevated’ circumstances and power-brokering, please feel free to take the Casting more at face value.)
Populus in the 2nd house (Aquarius) indicates that your financial and emotional matters will be taking up a good deal of your attention this week. Your family may have significant influence in these matters, too. Indeed, it could be quite possible that much of what happens this week relates to the interplay of feelings in that family setting.
As there is a sextile aspect between the geomes this should be seen as a positive thing, and therefore likely to involve you and the family as a unit dealing with external influences. Given the very stable nature of Flow it would seem that something is rapidly coming to a conclusion or plateau, if it hasn’t already done so. As Flow becomes constant and more or less unchanging it represents that circumstances are at a high point or at least that they won’t get much higher or better than they are at the moment. Consequently, it represents full commitment to—or by—the family in a largely flexible environment.
Populus in the 12th house (Sagittarius) represents a rich internal and imaginative world. While there is a desire for spiritual growth and understanding it is possible that some of the feelings could be very powerful indeed.
It is likely that various visionary ideas and insights will strike you and that, given the constancy of Flow, these relate to the first geome in bringing matters outward and inward into alignment. The Active Transform this week is Populus in the 10th house (Libra). As you can see, there is no flicker of change in either Flow or within the geomes to provide any newness in any of the four realms. In Libra this represents a perfect and unchanging balance. It is difficult to imagine such a thing in nature but these can occasionally be found in what to us are long timescales. So as much as the confirmation of the deal, the signing of the treaty, etc. seems, nothing lasts forever. Power will shift, water will flow, the Earth will turn.

Rogues
There were two Rogues this week:
Fortuna Minor in the 8th house (Leo) suggests that social influence from powerful individuals could be a factor this week. This may be an intent to steal some of your limelight or perhaps they want some of your reflected glory. Take care if they want a piece of your action as they may interfere. Where were they when you needed them? They may, however, boost some of your resources.
Rubeus in the 12th house (Sagittarius) could add some further intensification to your internal energies and subconscious thinking. Be prepared for hidden issues which may arise suddenly. Nip them in the bud quickly before they become emotional outbursts.
