The post Snow White Art Imagines How Gal Gadot & Rachel Zegler Will Look In Disney’s Live-Action Remake first appeared on Bluepictures Cinema.

New art by @GueliArt renders a new take on Zegler and Gadot’s Snow White looks.
The artist creates a poster-like digital drawing of Snow White and the Evil Queen side-by-side. The two figures wear costumes reminiscent of the classic animated film but have Gadot and Zegler’s facial features. Gadot’s Evil Queen wields an apple in one hand and a staff in the other, and dons a bejeweled crown atop her head. Snow White, on the other hand, has a fearful expression to contrast the Evil Queen’s sly look. She clutches a heart-shaped pendant around her neck as she worriedly looks off into the distance. The two are framed by an elaborate mirror, a reference to the classic “mirror mirror on the wall.”

Seeing figures drawn to represent Gadot and Zegler is another reminder that Snow White will take on a very different look than its animated predecessor, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was an animated feature released in 1937, which featured hand-drawn animation that made Snow White and the Evil Queen look so pale that they were almost washed out. Shown in live-action, Snow White’s main characters will not have this same eerie “white as snow” look, and the art gives a glimpse into the humanized approach already.
One of the most notable changes the live-action film makes from its source material is in the title. Snow White lops off the tail end of the animated film’s moniker, centering the princess instead of the seven “dwarf” characters from the original. This shift reflects not just in the title, for Snow White’s seven dwarf characters are instead depicted as seven magical figures in this updated version, who are predominantly of normal stature.
It will be interesting to see what other liberties Snow White takes with its source material. As in the art, Snow White will probably feature the classic princess costume, at least at some point during the film. Other than that, Snow White has a lot of freedom to reinvent the style from the over eight-decade-old original.

Talking to The Telegraph, Taylor explained why he thinks the next James Bond actor should be Black or female. The British intelligence expert, who trains operatives around the world after a 30-year career in the Foreign Office, says that a Black or female James Bond would result in increased diversity in recruitment for the intelligence agencies. Read his full comments below:
[Bond is the] biggest recruitment aid. The only thing chiefs, I think, would want to change, going back to an earlier conversation, and it may happen yet, is that James Bond should be a black man, or a woman, or a black woman, and you know [it] would make those sort of people also, for diversity, want to join. James Bond has been nothing but good.

Though a female James Bond would likely boost MI6 diversity and improve operational capabilities, as Taylor argues, it probably won’t come to fruition. Franchise producer Barbara Broccoli doesn’t believe a female should play Bond, and she’s repeatedly shot down the prospect of a woman playing the historically male role. In one interview, Broccoli definitively stated, “I don’t think a woman should play James Bond.” Instead, she believes the franchise should have strong female characters in supporting roles.
While Broccoli doesn’t believe a woman should play Bond, the producer thinks the character could be any ethnicity, as long as the actor is British. Idris Elba is one Black actor who is a betting favorite to play Bond, though he has opened up about “disgusting” racism which has turned him off from playing the role. Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page, an English actor of Zimbabwean descent, is another front-runner to be the next James Bond. As the search continues, the door remains open for a more inclusive portrayal of the iconic character’s ethnicity.

Seyi had claimed during a conversation with Whitemoney after the Saturday night party that he had opened a miscellaneous account for his son to enable him have sex with other people’s daughters.
Though he has apologized, the comments have since sparked controversy on social media, with the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, DSVA, coming out to condemn the comments in its totality.
The agency, in a post on its official X, formerly known as Twitter, said, “we strongly condemn the comments made by Seyi Awolowo in the disturbing video that has surfaced. Such remarks perpetuate harmful attitudes and contribute to a culture of violence and abuse”.
This is even as some entertainers who spoke to our reporter, also expressed their reservations over the continued airing of the reality TV show on the Nigerian telecast space. But despite the sustained calls by some groups and clergymen to ban the show, the organizers have insisted that beyond its entertainment values, BBNaija reality TV show remains a veritable economic empowerment tool for the Nigerian youth.
According to Chief Executive Officer, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, “Many youth-oriented jobs are taken up whenever the Big Brother season comes around. Apart from ‘setting up’ the housemates for potential brand endorsements and sponsorships, many other youths can put their skills in photography, disc jockeying, multimedia and technical control, data analytics, fashion, creative arts and more to work; and get their money’s worth. This could come through direct employment by MultiChoice itself, or some indirect means by affiliated brands. Ugbe further revealed that last year’s ‘Level Up’ edition provided 1,200 jobs, directly and indirectly, while the production cost amounted to N4.7 billion which included licensing, modeling, marketing costs, among others.
Entertainers react
We need content that will inspire our youth towards greatness —Gospel singer, Righteousman
“No apologies… I don’t watch the BBNaija reality TV show. It has added no benefit to my life morally, financially or spiritually. It’s a waste of time sitting for hours to watch our supposed leaders of tomorrow fighting, sleeping, gossiping, romancing all in the name of getting rich through entertainment without proper education. Housemate engaging in illicit sex is not sex education. What we need today is content that will inspire our youth towards greatness, not celebrating immorality and promoting sex gangs. What your eyes see, is what your heart feeds upon! My eyes forbid corruption”.
It’s an empty content without educational values —Actor Emeka Rising
“I have never watched and will never watch it because of the fact that it lacks morality. My take on the ongoing BBNaija show is that it doesn’t have any aim and objectives. It’s empty content without any educational values. As a matter of fact, it should be banned completely in Nigeria. People go to school to acquire knowledge, some learn hand jobs, while many will delve into singing, acting and even dancing to showcase their talents. What BBNija stands for, it’s a pity that those who are creative do not have money to create content while the ones that have money at times are confused”.
It has no moral contributions to the society —Film director/Actor, Ugeze J. ugeze
“I do not watch the show. I have never watched the previous editions. I understand it is a business brand that belongs to someone, a registered business that millions of people like. On that note, I elect to chicken out in writing any critique on it. But I just feel it has no moral contributions to society.
The show is against everything African, Nigerian culture, tradition—Filmmaker, Alex Eyengho
“I watched the maiden edition of the BB Africa/Naija television show a few times and stopped watching it thereafter. This is because I discovered early enough that there is nothing African or Nigerian about the show. If anything, the show is everything against the African or Nigerian culture, tradition, and general way of life.
The show has nothing to teach our youth and participants, and this is why I agree with those who have condemned the show as promoting immorality in our society. In terms of concept, a television show of that magnitude should be an opportunity to showcase the African way of life to the rest of the world in terms of our norms and values.
The majority of what is portrayed in the show are foreign cultures, which conflicts with the Nigerian and African way of life. For me, the concept of the show should be changed completely. The producers should go back to the drawing board with their African thinking caps on, with their heads properly screwed on their necks.
There’s nothing wrong with the show, nobody is forced to watch it—Actress Daniella Nsisong
“I don’t really watch the show. But I love Tacha who was disqualified from the show in 2019. I lost interest in the show after Tacha’s disqualification because my heart was broken. It’s a wonderful show that has helped so many people in and outside the country. There is nothing wrong with the show, if you think the show doesn’t suit your standards, there are many other channels to keep you entertained. Nobody is forced to watch it.

The post My bum remains the best part of my body — Juliet Ekeson first appeared on Bluepictures Cinema.

Beautiful actress Juliet Ekeson was a year older last Sunday. And to celebrate the birthday girl, her friends and colleagues rolled out the drums and partied with her from dusk till dawn.
The actress, who was still in a party mood, as of Tuesday morning, expressed gratitude to her maker for the new age. She’s satisfied with her achievements so far, and believes that she’s still a work in progress. In this engaging encounter, the geologist-turned-actress, who began her acting career in 2012, recalls how the fear of her height almost ruined her dreams.
She also talks about what she expects from any man that wants to marry her, and reveals why she cannot go under the knife.
Adding a year to my age
I thank God for the gift of life. It’s an exciting thing to know that you are growing. I am not where I was last year, so I give God the glory. My wish is that God will accomplish all my heart desires. He knows my heart desires and I wish that I will accomplish all of them.
Dreams and desires I had while growing up
I have always dreamt of becoming an actress. Though I am a geologist, I have always dreamt that I would be an actress some day. My dream came true. I still want to be an entertainer who’s known all over the world. I am working towards it .
Fear that has continued to haunt me from childhood
When I was growing up, I had this fear of my height because I am not as tall as my siblings. I felt that it’s going to hinder me from a whole lot of things. I was wondering whether my height would affect me negatively after I became an actress. But it never did.
As I am doing my thing, I realized that what makes you is the you that’s in you. As far as I am concerned, I am taller than the tallest girl in this part of the world. This is because what I have in me is taller than every other person. I see myself as the tallest person in this world following my ambition and my dreams.
My height is no longer driving me backwards. In fact, it actually makes me see myself as the best girl in town. I am appreciable and portable. After achieving my dreams, I have realized that life is all about what you have achieved and where you have been so far. Your height can never hinder you from achieving your dreams. It hasn’t been hindering me.
What has kept me going
My mom’s prayers have been my driving force. I always want to be that best daughter to her. And whenever I think of her, I see myself doubling my hustling. My mum and my siblings constitute my driving force.
Part of my body I admire most
My bum-bum remains the best part of my body. It’s one gift God gave me that no one can take away from me. That’s what many girls are storming Lagos to buy and fix in their body. But God gave it to me naturally and I cherish it a whole lot.
Going under the knife
I can’t go under the knife, God forbid. I don’t want that. I tried, but I can’t stand the pain. I said to myself, let’s try to take off some fat on my waist. But I will rather go for a waist trainer and still retain my curves than going under the knife. Those who are going under the knife are very strong women. I don’t know if there are side effects or after effects.
I am not the one to judge them. But it takes a lot to go under the knife and then come out successful. Those girls going under the knife I give it to them. My advice is that if you are a young girl, you should wait until you give birth to one or two babies before going under the knife. This is because it might have side effects in the long run.
Abandoning acting
For me to dump my certificate and delve into acting is a serious sacrifice. Anyway, never say never. Except I get married to a handsome guy, who will promise to give me the whole world for me to leave acting. I think I will listen to him. But for now, I don’t think so. But if it comes from a man I love so much and he wants me to genuinely leave acting because of his personal decision, he must convince me. I think I will listen to him.
Taking care of me
Any man coming to ask for my hands in marriage should know that he will take care of me even though I can take care of myself . For a man to say he wants to marry me, he also should be comfortable. I am not saying that he should be the richest man on earth. So, what matters to me is love, if I find a man that loves me sincerely, we can make the money together.
First thing for me is love and that’s what we don’t have again in Nigeria and the world at large. Love is very scarce these days. Men will tell you they love you but that’s not true. I know that love doesn’t exist any more these days.
Expectations from my man
He should love me dearly, and worship me. Take me like an egg that I am. I love it when a man pampers me a lot. Everything is not about money. It’s all about checking up on your woman, and always being there for her, showing her that you love her. When you guys step out, you are there to protect and admire her the way she walks. There are so many things that make a woman feel very comfortable in marriage. Don’t make your woman feel jealous of the way you treat other women out there. It’s not about money sincerely, but money still helps in sustaining marriages.
