Chief Executive Officer

Reports To: Chair, Board of Directors

Work Hours: Full-time, exempt; schedule requires flexibility to attend evening and weekend events and community activities, as needed.

Function:

The Chief Executive Officer serves as the organization's chief executive and provides overall leadership and direction for agency operations, programs, finances, staff, community relationships, and organizational development. The CEO works closely with the Board of Directors to advance the agency's mission and strategic plan, providing the information, recommendations, and support necessary for effective governance and decision-making. In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services and other leadership staff, the CEO ensures that agency programs and services are effectively developed, delivered, evaluated, and continuously improved in accordance with industry best practices, legal and regulatory requirements, established policies and procedures, and the Agency Mission and Strategic Plan.

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Organizational Leadership: Lead the development and execution of a multi-year strategic
vision that advances organizational sustainability, expands community impact, and
positions the organization as a trusted, accessible provider of behavioral health and family
support services throughout the region.

Provide overall leadership and direction for the agency and its senior leadership team.
Foster a healthy organizational culture characterized by clear communication,
accountability, respect, transparency, professional development, and employee
engagement.
Recruit, develop, evaluate, and retain qualified leadership and staff.
Oversee organizational policies, procedures, and risk-management practices.

2. Financial Management & Stability: The CEO will provide executive leadership for the
financial health, sustainability, and growth of the organization. Work with the Finance
Director to develop and oversee the annual operating budget, monitor financial
performance, ensure appropriate financial controls, oversee audits, and support the
agency’s long-term financial sustainability and resource development.

3. Program & Service Leadership: Provide organizational and strategic leadership for
the development and evolution of agency programming, working in partnership with
the Director of Clinical Services to ensure programs address community needs,
reflect appropriate clinical expertise, and maintain effective clinical oversight.

Ensure programs and services align with the agency’s mission, strategic priorities,
community needs, and available resources.
Support evaluation of program effectiveness and outcomes.
Encourage innovation and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with applicable licensing, accreditation, contractual, and regulatory
requirements.

4. Board Relations & Governance: The CEO reports to the Chair of the Board of Directors,
consistent with the existing CEO job description.

Work closely with the Board Chair and Board of Directors to advance the agency’s mission
and strategic priorities.
Provide the Board with timely, accurate, and meaningful information to support effective
governance and decision-making.
Support Board development, orientation, committee work, and succession planning as
appropriate.
Maintain a productive relationship between the Board and agency staff while respecting
appropriate governance and management roles.

5. Community Relations & External Leadership: The CEO will serve as the chief ambassador
and advocate for the agency.

Serve as a primary spokesperson and community representative for the agency.
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, government agencies,
funders, donors, businesses, and other stakeholders.
Represent the agency in community, professional, and collaborative initiatives.
Advocate for the needs of children, families, and the communities served.

6. Fund Development & Resource Development: Provide leadership and strategic direction for
the agency’s fund development efforts in collaboration with the Director of Fund Development
and Community Investment, Board of Directors, and other appropriate staff. Develop and
maintain relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, community leaders, and
other funding partners to support the agency’s mission and strategic priorities.

7. Compliance, Risk & Quality: Responsible for ensuring the organization operates with integrity,
compliance and appropriate risk oversight.

Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, licensing
requirements, accreditation standards, contracts, and funding requirements.
Maintain appropriate oversight of protected health information, confidentiality, privacy, and
client records in accordance with HIPAA and other requirements.
Promote appropriate risk-management, safety, confidentiality, and ethical practices.
Maintain oversight of organizational compliance related to billing, payer requirements,
documentation, and any other areas that may create financial or regulatory risk.
Ensure appropriate internal controls, policies, and oversight tools are in place to safeguard
assets and reduce financial, legal, operational and reputational risk.
Maintain appropriate organizational standards for quality and accountability.

8. Other Duties: Other duties assigned by the Chair or the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, advanced degree in business, human services, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred, equivalent combination of education and relevant nonprofit leadership experience may be considered. Minimum of 7–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably within a nonprofit or human- services organization. Demonstrated experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, financial management, staff development, community relations, and resource development preferred.

Leadership & Relationship Expectations:

The CEO must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust and effective working relationships with employees, Board members, clients and families, donors, funders, community leaders, government officials, partner organizations, and other stakeholders.

DATA STRATEGIST I

Non-Exempt

Reports to: Data Intelligence Leader

The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. Essential Duties

Analyze and present solutions for new products and offer suggestions on improving existing product performance.
Define market share and offer insights on opportunities as defined by strategic plan
Operates as cross functional team member collaborating with peers and winning as a team
Understand the communities that we serve from not only the data aspect but the member experience and behavior
Create and present reporting and insights through narrative-driven presentations and/or effective data visualizations to department leaders to achieve business initiatives.
Fulfills data requests, looking for synergy between requests and usefulness to more than just the person/department requesting
Supports data system solutions, troubleshoots issues, and resolves incidents while communicating with end user.
Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through America's Credit Unions within first year of service with M1.

Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver on the Credit Union’ Service Promises in every service situation.
Develop a plan to analyze and enhance product lines in alignment with organizational strategy.
Collaborate with the management team on special projects in relation to strategic initiatives.
Analyze all branches to create programs/initiatives that drive deposit and loan growth within the branches.
Analyze membership to find growth opportunities using market segmentation.
Travel to our Michigan locations on average once per quarter for team meetings, with travel dates mandatory during summits.
Ensure continued education to maintain and demonstrate knowledge of credit union operations, industry trends, and technologies related to analytics, statistics and reporting.
Maintain technical knowledge in all required systems including SQL, Tableau, and Snowflake by completing educational opportunities, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, accurate manner. Provide informed, professional, accurate service and support to all members and teammates.
Responsible for being knowledgeable of member experience trends, market potential, and generational segment behaviors to ensure a solid future-thinking strategy.
Promotes a culture of excellence, data-driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge-sharing, and teamwork.

Education and Experience

One to three years similar or related experience in data strategy
A bachelor's degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Data, Business Intelligence, Statistics or related fields.
Excellent analytical skills to conduct thorough research to offer market insights. Ability to provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems.
Technical knowledge and experience in SQL, Tableau, and Snowflake required.
Ability to perform analytics within credit union data software
Ability to use email, presentation software, and Microsoft word and excel are required
