We have a group of wonderful cats who have been waiting years for someone to see them — really see them — and give them the loving home they deserve. And now we also have kittens, just beginning their lives, who are destined to grow up in a shelter and never know what a real home feels like. They’ve all tested positive for FeLV, yet here’s the truth most people don’t know:

They are safe. They are happy. They are thriving. And they have just as much love to give as any other cat. Some are so starved for affection that they’ll shower you with love tenfold — the kind of wholehearted, grateful devotion only a cat who’s been waiting a long time can give.

Because of fears and misunderstandings about FeLV, these sweet cats rarely get shown to potential adopters. Many people already have pets at home, so they never consider meeting them. Yet if you don’t currently have other cats, you could be the person who changes everything for one or two of these amazing felines.

Some may have been vaccinated and are simply testing positive from the vaccine. Others may truly carry the virus — yet they show no symptoms and can still live full, joyful lives if given a chance. What they all share is the same thing every cat longs for: a safe home, a soft bed, and someone to love them.
