BindTortureKast-Episode 294-K-END-isha

Sun, 05 Sep 2021 15:30:50 +0000

Hi there. How are you? Really? REALLY? Thats terrible. I hear they have ointments for that, so don't get to down on yourself. Oh…its…leaking? Well, you should probably see a doctor or something. That sounds painful and smelly. While you're waiting to be seen, you may as well listen to this episode, where Luke and I review the new Bustillo and Maury film, Kandisha. Or not. Really, I don't care. Show's over after this, so fuck it, right?

BindTortureKast-Episode 293-BTKatchup

Sat, 07 Aug 2021 17:50:27 +0000

Greetings everybody, and welcome to episode 293 of BTK. There is no major, hour-long review in this episode. Instead, Luke and I just talked a bunch of crap for a bit before exhaustion kicked in and we both awkwardly signed off. This is what happens when we take a month or two off from this wretched show. We end up having too much to say, and a review ends up getting pushed out of the show. Which, really, makes ZERO goddamned sense as the whole point of this show is to talk about great films, and not so much to be like every other awful Internet personality that deludes themeselves into thinking they're more than just a talentless idiot standing on the shoulders of people who ACTUALLY create something worthwhile. But whatever, even BTK can succumb to that nonsense. Thats the official explanation. The real explanation; I'm SO over this show, and will find any reason I can to put in as little effort as possible until I finally say "enough!", and end the show. Hopefully that comes soon. Anyway, enjoy it while you can.
Next episode, we are back to business. Promise.

BindTortureKast-Episode 292-May The Bloody, Wet Devil Take You (as well)

Sat, 12 Jun 2021 16:47:40 +0000

Hell-o, one and all. For this episode, we are continuing our month of Timo Tjahanto films, and are reviewing May The Devil Take You Too, the sequel to his modern day Indonesian Black Magic classic. While I am a fan of the first film, the second one is REALLY where its at and was the inspiration for wanting to review these. This is a movie that does everything right and is about as crazy as they come. Hopefully Luke enjoyed it as much as I did. If not, well, I'm always happy to waste his time.

Sat, 29 May 2021 17:32:44 +0000

Hello everybody, and thanks for checking out this episode of BTK. For this one, we are once again journeying into the fantastic world of the incomparable Timo Tjahanto and reviewing May The Devil Take You. I really love Indonesian horror, and especially love it when they mix healthy amounts of black magic spookiness into the mix. Will Luke like these films? Honestly, after almost 300 episodes, you'd think I'd know his tastes more than I do. But you'd be horribly mistaken. I. Know. Nothing.

BindTortureKast-Episode 290-Day Of The Cowards

Sat, 15 May 2021 17:38:12 +0000

HELL-o and Hail Satan, and welcome to episode 290 of BTK. For this one, we are reviewing the Spanish horror/absurd-o film, Day Of The Beast, from one of my favorite director's, Alex de la Iglesia. Having recently gotten its first ever disc-based release in North America (and hitting Shudder soon after) made this movie, that I rented way back in the day on VH-goddamned S, a no-brainer to review. Hopefully Luke enjoyed it and the episode isn't a total chore to get through. Its all I can ever hope for.

Sat, 01 May 2021 16:55:21 +0000

Hello, you fabulous bastards and welcome to episode 289 of BTK. On this very episode, Luke and I will be talking all about the Cat III sensation, The Untold Story. Unlike many of the films I choose, this was not some old film I've loved for years. Rather, this was a movie I WANTED to see for years, and only recently (thanks to the new Unearthed Films re-release) got to check it out. Its a strange and brilliant little film, and speaking of "strange" an "brilliant", hopefully Luke likes it as much as I did.

Sat, 17 Apr 2021 17:07:33 +0000

G'day mates and thanks for abusing yourselves with this episode of BTK where Luke and I decided to finally review the modern Aussie horror classic, Storm Warning. I mean, I've only been randomly talking about reviewing it for the last 97 years of this show's sad and meaningless existence. Look at us. Progress. Anyway, this is a cool film and with any luck, Luke will grace us with his uncanny Aussie accent. Things to look forward to...

Sat, 03 Apr 2021 18:27:05 +0000

Hello everyone. First off, this is NOT A NEW EPISODE OF BTK!!!! Let me explain...

Apparently, BTK has a shit-ton of listeners. Thats great, and I'm happy it does. On the other hand, I've been creating instrumental, goth/industrial-tinged metal music for a while now under the name ænorex. This project, sadly, struggles to find an audience. I take full ownership of this, as I am absolutely terrible at selling anything I do (even when its for free). Considering BTK has always been ad-free, has never asked for or accepted a single dollar or an invite to become part of a podcast network, it entitles me to try a little experiment as I only have myself to answer to.

So, I have compiled some songs from numerous ænorex releases, and am releasing them as an "episode". So if you don't care about music (or this music), no harm no foul, just skip it and we will be back shortly with our next REAL episode. I was just hoping that some folks out there may find some of this stuff cool, and may be swayed to head on over to aenorex.bandcamp.com and download all of the music, absolutely for free. Of course, all of the stuff is available across every other digital music platform as well, but all of that costs money. Bandcamp is the free option, so hey, hit it up.

Again, this is NOT A NEW BTK, and we will be back very soon with the next review episode. There aren't a lot of options for someone who creates such a particular kind of art (too electronic for metal people, to metal for goth people, not industrial enough for rivetheads, etc), so I figured I'd take an opportunity to reach a wider audience. I wont make a habit out of it, but I hope that at least one person out there gets some enjoyment out of this. Thanks for being understanding, and as always, thanks for all of the support of BTK.

Sat, 03 Apr 2021 18:25:45 +0000

Hey everyone. Thanks for checking out this episode of BTK. Luke and I are finally talking about The Woman. No, not the woman. THE WOMAN. You know, Lucky McKee's The Woman. Sure, it may be a decade-old film at this point, but whatever. Better late than never I suppose. Enjoy the show.

Sat, 13 Mar 2021 18:43:03 +0000

Ahoy mateys. Not even sure if thats how you spell "mateys" and I'm too lazy to look it up. Anyhoo, welcome to episode 286 of BTK. For this one, Luke and I are reviewing a bigger film that still managed to fly under the radar, what with all of the fun of 2020, the year it hit (limited) theaters. We are reviewing Underwater. Why? Because it scratches a certain kind of monster itch I have for Monsters In March 2021, thats why. Enjoy!

BindTortureKast-Episode 284-Luke, The Filthy Srpski Stud

Tue, 23 Feb 2021 00:24:40 +0000

Hello one and all, and welcome to episode 284 of BTK. I said we'd never do it because I have far too much love and respect for the movie, but I decided to throw apprehension to the winds and review the new Unearthed Films edition of A Serbian Film. While it's not the new-NEW version with the excised footage and documentary (that one releases later in 2021, supposedly), it IS a new edition of the uncut family classic. Hands down one of my favorite films of all time and I'm absolutely thrilled to finally talk about it, at length. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy the episode, ya baby-rapers.

Note: There was some dumb tech nonsense that caused me to lose a few minutes of audio at the end, so I re-edited it as best as I could to make it more listenable. Really, the only thing you are missing is me talking about our upcoming schedule (FYI, the next 5 episodes will be reviews of Psycho Goreman, Underwater, The Woman, Storm Warning and The Untold Story) and us signing off. So, yeah. Could've been worse.

Sat, 06 Feb 2021 18:48:30 +0000

It's been a while, but BTK is back. While planning our re-emergence onto the ever-popular and profitable podcasting scene, I decided I'd rather ease into things with a discussion and (belated) 2020 wrap-up episode. But don't worry, as Luke and I will be back in a few short weeks with one helluva baby-raping good time of a film to review. Until then, thanks for listening.

BindTortureKast-Episode 280-BindTwitchKast: Halloween Edition

Fri, 30 Oct 2020 21:09:29 +0000

Hey everyone. This is a little bonus episode of BTK. Its not an actual BTK but it is Luke and I talking horror stuff for over 90 minutes. Its actually a recording of a conversation that happened on Luke's West2ndGaming Twitch channel when he made the foolish mistake of inviting me on (on 10/29/2020). Idiot. Anyway, it was a great little discussion, and in an effort to preserve the way it all actually sounded, I didn't want to edit it the way I usually edit BTK. So I did some minor edits with music that I know he had playing throughout the show, and pulled it all together and vomited it forth for you to enjoy.

Be sure to follow and subscribe to Luke's Twitch channel, West2ndGaming for all of the Luke you can handle!

Thats it from me, enjoy this weird little experiment!

Hey there. Since I am lazy and do not give a fuck, we decided to just review the sequel to the Friday the 13th fan film, 'Never Hike Alone'. This one is called 'Never Hike In The Snow', and its probably more of the same but, you know, with snow. Anyway, enjoy.

Hello everyone and thank you for checking out episode 277 of BTK. I am super excited about this one as Luke and I are finally getting to talk all about the non-Bruce Lee film, Game Of Death. This one got a very gory and insane trailer many moons ago, and then dropped off of the face of the damn earth only to re-emerge in mid-2020 with a hurried and quiet release. Was it worth the wait? Well, listen in and find the hell out!

We are so very happy you decided to join us for this episode as Luke and I will once again be wading back into the Philthy waters of Philadelphia philmmaker Phil Stevens. I'm stupid, I know. Anyway, Luke and I are reviewing Flowers 2, and seeing as how Flowers is one of my favorite horror films from the last decade, and Lung II was pretty great too, I am excited to talk about this one. Hello one and all and thank you ever so kindly for checking out episode 275 of BTK. As we continue our August 80's celebration, we arrive at Luke's pick, Videodrome. Hey everyone, and welcome to episode 274 of BTK. For yet another year, we are devoting the 8th calendar month to the 80's. What does that mean for you? Well, you can more or less count on me picking a fun 80's horror film to review, while Luke half-asses it and picks some 80's action movie to talk about. Well, not this year (he picked something more in keeping with the show for 2020). Anyway, my pick was 'The Lost Boys', and that was before the director up and died in June, so it appears the BTKurse, as well as my love of this movie, lives on...

For this one, Luke and I are forgoing traditional horror and are continuing down the real-world-misery path with our reviews of 'We Need To Talk About Kevin'. For this July 4th celebration, we will take a break from blowing up random parts of America in the name of freedom (all the while maintaining social distancing), and will instead talk about Simon Rumley's 'Red White & Blue'. Don't like that film? Not horror enough for you? Well, blame Luke. He suggested it, and I just do what he says. Happy 4th to our American friends, and stay safe everyone.

For this one, Luke and I decided to celebrate Father's Day, NOT with the Astron6 classic, but with a more recent film starring Chris' hobbity little man-crush, Elijah Wood. Yep, Luke and I spend the episode talking about 'Come To Daddy', the feature-length directorial debut from legendary producer Ant Timpson. Thanks for checking episode 270 of BTK, everybody. For this one, Luke and I are reviewing 'Blood Machines', which is essentially a movie, presented as a 3-part series, based very heavily off of the music of Carpenter Brut. Its crazy, satanic, sci-fi silliness and Luke and I were thrilled to be able to finally talk about this one!

These two gave us the incredible 'Goodnight Mommy', a few years ago. Luke and I loved that one, and now they're back with their long-awaited feature follow-up, 'The Lodge'. So buckle in and listen to Luke and my sexy voices as we talk about things in a sad attempt to sound SMRT.

Hello everybody and welcome to Episode 268 of BTK. For this episode, I figured we would celebrate the fantastic women who coughed us forth into this ashtray of a world with a Mother's Day episode. What movie did I pick, you ask? Well, in honor if the special ladies in all of our lives, I chose a movie called 'Baby Blues'. It released in 2008, and features a mother who spends the entire film trying to hug and kiss her young children. Wait. Did I say "hug and kiss"? Sorry, I meant "viciously murder". Yeah. What I MEANT was that we are reviewing the 1996 Chinese film "Ebola Syndrome", as the final in our series of outbreak/disease-themed films for 2020. Hey, what do you expect from me? RunHideKill-Episode 14-Loose Strands and RE3 Apparently Does Not Exist

Tue, 18 Feb 2020 16:54:40 +0000

Hey everyone. Long time, no talk. After a bit of a break, RHK is back for its 14th episode. On this one I am talking all about the bigger and smaller games I've been wrapping up while I wait for the insane 2020 gaming extravaganza to kick off with Doom: Eternal in March. Sometimes having a month or two where there is nothing new to play is a good thing, as it's given me time to finish some huge games I thought I'd never finish, and to start and beat some smaller indie games that were gathering digital dust on my hard drives. Beyond that, there is a lot of non-spoilery Death Stranding talk in this one too, so that's fun! Anyway thanks for listening everybody and enjoy the episode.

(also, when talking about the upcoming awesome games I'm looking forward to in 2020, how the fucking fuck did I not remember RE3? See? This is what happens when I go unscripted for an episode!)

Hey everybody. It's December, and the show title is some ridiculous, Japanese video game sounding nonsense that has literally nothing to do with anything, so that can mean only one thing; it's time for yet another sad horror podcast to try and sum up an entire year of horror cinema in a single episode, all the while trivializing the medium they love by rushing through each film while not actually creating anything of artistic merit that they themselves add to the world of film. Yep, its about that time...

Mon, 23 Dec 2019 15:08:59 +0000

Greetings everyone, and welcome to Episode 261 of BTK. For our last review of 2019, we are talking all about "Midsommar", which I actually braved the theaters to go see. It was odd, as my misanthropy is the reason why I don't go to the theater, as well as the reason I DID actually go and see this in the theater. You see, I was very pumped to see this but was more than happy to wait until a Blu Ray release was available. That being said, I remember how Hereditary was spoiled for me with a careless thumbnail, and then Midsommar was almost spoiled in a similar way. So I said, "maybe I should go see this thing before the scumbag pieces of shit on the internet spoil it for me". Hence, me going to a theater. Anyway, it's out now and hopefully Luke liked it because it was definitely my intention that he see it before the year closes out. And if he hated it? Well, Luke has poor taste, we know this. Just look at the podcast he's on.

RunHideKill-Episode 13-2019 Gaming Wrap-Up

Thu, 05 Dec 2019 16:50:30 +0000

Greetings one and all, and welcome to the 13th lucky episode of RHK. I am super-pumped about this one as I am spending some time talking all about the great video games of 2019. Obviously, it will be horror-focused wherever possible, but I DO play other things, so you can expect to hear some love being golden-showered on some non-horror games, too. Thanks for listening to the first 13 episodes of this show, and enjoy the show!

RunHideKill-Episode 12-Dead Space(s)

Thu, 28 Nov 2019 10:48:43 +0000

Hello, fellow horror game nerds. After a slight break, I am back with the 12th episode of RHK. While I had planned on a Silent Hill 1 & 2 episode, I ended up playing Dead Space 2 while I waited for my goddamn Death Stranding CE to finally show up, and liked it so much, that I decided a Dead Space 2 episode was totally necessary. The fact that I never played DS2 has been a great horror shame for me, so I am happy I finally dug into this one. Its about time I stopped being so awful! So this episode is all about Dead Space 2, and I even snuck in a little of my history with the first game, too. The nice thing is that there really isn't any other Dead Space game I want to cover for this show, so now I have officially conquered the Dead Space franchise for RHK. Thanks for listening everyone!

BindTortureKast-Episode 260-Black & White, Lady-Horror Month: Luke Binge-Eats Repulsive Crock-Ham While Avoiding The Midnight Rapes

Mon, 25 Nov 2019 14:58:02 +0000

Greetings everyone, and welcome to BTK. For this 260th episode, we are wrapping up a month female-led, black and white horror with what is obviously the QUEEN of black and white, female-led horror. I always said we would never review this, but when scheduling this month's reviews, it began to feel insulting to NOT do it, considering the theme. So, against all odds and past things I've said, we are reviewing "Repulsion". It's one of my favorite films of all time, and I know Luke likes it too, so I am very excited to talk about this on BTK. I'll try not to fuck it up TOO much.

BindTortureKast-Episode 259-Black & White, Lady-Horror Month: Argentinian Bitches, Man-Heart Strings & Luke's Little Spurts

Mon, 18 Nov 2019 21:28:31 +0000

Hey there everyone, and thanks for checking out episode 259 of BTK. Continuing November 2019's "Black and White, Lady-Horror Month", which is a month of themed reviews that's literally based on nothing other than a few of the films being black and white and having ladies at the forefront, we are reviewing "She Wolf" on this episode. Its a fun one with lots of sexy boobs and sexy deaths for sexy Luke. Sexy times.

Thu, 07 Nov 2019 18:47:42 +0000

Hey kiddies and welcome to episode 258 of BTK. For November 2019, I decided I finally wanted to review "True Love Ways", but also, another female-led, black and white horror film. And just like that, a theme was born so I added one more, and poof, November 2019 becomes "Black and White, Lady-Horror Month" on BTK. Fun times. Anyway, enjoy the episode(s), everyone.

BindTortureKast-Episode 257-A Very Hellhouse Halloween (but In November)

Mon, 04 Nov 2019 14:27:21 +0000

Happy Belated Halloween, everyone (assuming you are reading this after October 31st of 2019, or any year)(on that note, if this IS the future and you're a space alien monster picking this episode out of the ether that used to be our internet, give humanity a few extra lashings for me). For this episode, Luke and I are reviewing the latest Hellhouse LLC film, "Hellhouse LLC III: The Lake Of Fire". Luke and I really liked the last two Hellhouse movies, so hopefully we both enjoyed the final film in this underground, seasonal, surprise-trilogy!

RunHideKill-Episode 11-Alien: Isolation

Tue, 29 Oct 2019 16:49:48 +0000

Hello everyone, and thanks for checking out episode 11 of RHK. For this one, I am celebrating the spirit of the 2019 Halloween season with a horror game that I actually find to be, if not scary, at least horribly tense. But really, it is kinda scary too. Anyway, I am reviewing one of my favorite games ever, and the only game to properly live up to the license on which its based, Alien: Isolation! If you haven't played this one, I suggest doing so before listening as this will be a particularly spoiler-heavy episode. And if you have played it, you know how great it is and I hope to hear from some of the listeners about their own scary-ass playthoughs. Thanks for listening everyone.

BindTortureKast-Episode 256-Luke's Halloween Parking Lot Prostitute Party

Mon, 21 Oct 2019 13:50:49 +0000

Greetings kids, and welcome to episode 256 of BTK. For this one, due to Canada, the country that VOD forgot, not getting Replace in time for a review, we are doing something different this week. I thought, 'what should we do instead?', and somehow, against all odds, I arrived at Halloween (2018). So thats weird. For us. Seriously, every other horror show talked about this film a year ago, and I thought it would be fun for BTK, a show that tends to steer clear of a lot of theatrical releases and mainstream horror, to review it. For some, it was more controversial than the guinea-ist of the pig films, so in that way, it fits! Either way, whether you liked it or not, I hope you get some kind of enjoyment from Luke and my very long discussion on it.

RunHideKill-Episode 10-The Last Of Us, Left Behind, & The Last Of Us: Part 2 HYPE!

Thu, 10 Oct 2019 18:10:09 +0000

Hey everyone, and thanks for coming back to RHK for episode 10. For this one, I am talking all about my favorite games ever made, The Last Of Us and Left Behind. I'm also talking all about the recent Last Of Us Part 2 news, namely that it will be out on February 21st, 2020! Damn, that feels unreal to even type. Anyway, I'm in awe of this game and its DLC, and will likely not be able to shut up about the upcoming sequel so, after watching that release date trailer, I immediately played the original game and DLC for the 4th damn time and decided I'd do an RHK episode on it, because besides being a fantastic achievement in the world of interactive storytelling, its one helluva tense, brutal and (at times) horrific experience. RHK material all the way!

BindTortureKast-Episode 255-Pregnant With Rape Baby (And Some VERY Convincing Poop)

Mon, 07 Oct 2019 13:40:00 +0000

Hey everyone, and thanks for checking out Episode 255 of BTK. For this one, we are reviewing Get My Gun, a little exploitation throwback film that quietly released to DVD earlier this year. Following a Shudder grab, more people have gotten to see it so we figured we would weigh in on it to start our reviews for October. Its not super-Halloween-y or anything, despite the opening scene being set on the holiday, but whatever. Who gives a shit, seriously?

Music On This Episode (in order of appearance);

"Escape The Fate"-Meteor

(I'm not going to print the name of the second song because its a horrible spoiler for the end of Halloween (2018). But it IS from the soundtrack, it is from John and Cody Carpenter, and that soundtrack is awesome so you should buy it)

RunHideKill-Episode 9-Blair Witch

Hey everyone and thanks for checking out episode 9 of RunHideKill. For this one, I am talking about Bloober Team's most recent horror offering, Blair Witch. While not the outright horror I usually like to cover on this show, there is some great shit in this game and it plays SO DAMN smoooth. These are some infamous little films that, until recently, were harder to get your hands on in any kind of cost-effective way. Now if that isn't a sell, I dont know what is. I'm a big fan of these folks and the interactive horror they create, and as I inch ever closer to starting my playthrough of their newest game, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, I thought it would be a great time to look back on the series that really put them on the map. Hey everyone. Sorry for the wait, but I am back with the 5th episode of RHK. Finally, after all of my stupid bullshit lies, I will be discussing the Layers Of Fear games. Thats LoF 1, LoF: Inheritance, and LoF 2. Since there is so much to talk about, I am having Lydia come on to help me through it. Also, she has played LoF far more recently than I had, so she will have a fresher take on it. Thu, 22 Aug 2019 01:20:04 +0000

Hey gang and thanks for checking out episode 252 of BTK. For this episode we are reviewing a newer Unearthed Films acquisition, "A Record Of Sweet Murder". Its from the director who brought us "Grotesque", "Carved", and "Sadako vs. Kayako", so obviously, I was pretty excited to see this one. Hopefully you guys were able to check it out and enjoy hearing us blather on about it.

BindTortureKast-Episode-249-80's In August 2019: 976-468-5853

Sun, 04 Aug 2019 18:59:43 +0000

Hey everyone and thanks for joining us for the first episode of 80's In August 2019. "What is this '80's in August' nonsense?", you ask? Well, it's a complete bullshit excuse of a theme month that came about because I'm lazy and thought a theme month would make picking films easier. So I saw that August was the 8th month of the year and immediately went to "80's". This is the logic you're getting here. It's really sad and pathetic, no? Anyway, it also allows me to bother Luke with films from the 80's that I really love, and gives Luke an excuse to pick one non-horror film to review each year so that's neat. This one is all my pick though, and we are talking all about Robert England's "976-Evil". I love this one, and since it doesn't fit in with our usual motif, I figured it'd be a good one to start this year's 80's-fest! Hope you have a good time with this nutty little film.

Hey everyone, and thanks for tuning into episode 251 of BTK. For this one, we are closing out our 80's in August spectacular with our reviews of "Possession". Thats the 1981 Neill/Adjani joint, not any one of the other 568 movies with "possession" in the title. Anyway we loved this one, so hopefully you have a good time with this episode. Lets all put our psychic hoodoo to good use, and will a re-release of of "Possession" into existence, because copies are getting more scarce and costly to acquire by the day.

BindTortureKast-Episode 250-80's In August 2019: Luke's Running Joke

Thu, 27 Jun 2019 17:47:24 +0000

Hey everyone and welcome back to BTK as we continue on with our 80's in August celebration for 2019. Is it a celebration if only two people are involved? I dont know, but I DO know that our 250th episode is all about Luke's pick for this little 80's-fest, and as Luke is known to do, he picked a non-horror film. Because he's an asshole. It's fun, dark sci-fi though, as originally written by one Stephen King. So that should count, right? Right? Anyway, for this one, we are reviewing "The Running Man", so try and have some fun with it and just know that we will be back with an actual horror film for episode 251.

RunHideKill-Episode 4-Early Impressions: Days Gone & The Sinking City

Sat, 22 Jun 2019 22:09:46 +0000

Hey guys and gals. Thanks for checking out Episode 4 of RHK. I was going to have Lydia on this episode to discuss the "Layers Of Fear" games with me, but I still haven't beaten the second one. Not because I'm lazy (which is usually a likely excuse), but because I keep playing other games (because I'm a jerk, which is always an excuse). So, for this one, I'm doing an "early impressions" kinda thing, and I will be talking about "Days Gone" and "The Sinking City". I promise I will be back with the "Layers Of Fear" episode next time. Maybe.

Sat, 22 Jun 2019 22:02:27 +0000

Hello everybody and welcome to a very special episode of BTK. Why is this one so special you ask? Well, if you MUST know, its our 248th episode where we are finally going to have our say on the recent Unearthed Films release of "Torment", a movie that's "too extreme for mainstream". Unlike all of those OTHER Unearthed releases, I guess... Anyhoo, I had preordered this one a while back and Luke and I had even watched the trailer forfuckingever ago, so its really cool that we finally got to check it out! Sat, 22 Jun 2019 21:57:57 +0000

Hello everyone, and for this episode of BTK, Luke and I are checking out "Last House On Dead Street", which is a film that has existed for many, many years almost entirely in bootleg form. Ok, to be honest, this movie isn't totally awesome, but it was recently farted onto DVD so I figured "why not?". Its a movie that was pretty ahead of its time, and certainly is about as heartless as they come so its right at home on this cold and dead little show. Have fun with it.

Its a really good one, and is pretty damn messed up so naturally we felt the need to talk about it on BTK. Thanks for listening, support indie and underground horror and stay brvtal. I thought if I included that last bit, we would sound really cool and less like two nobody's recording the 246th episode of a show that hardly anyone even knows about. Obviously, I will talk about all of the horror stuff I can as it relates to this year's show, but I wanted to give a little recap and let you guys know what I thought was interesting. Thu, 30 May 2019 21:56:31 +0000

Greetings everybody, and thanks for bothering to bother yourself with episode 245 of BTK. For this one, Luke has picked the film and its a little film he has been pestering me for a few years to watch. Seriously, he's like a little drunken earwig that is just always there. He chitters in my ear while I try to sleep, he shouts things while I am in work meetings so that all of my coworkers turn around and look at me all horrified like I just farted in their kid's faces or something. Anyway, I finally relented and this week we are reviewing Sion Sono's "Strange Circus". We are big fans of some of Sono's films around here, so why the hell not? Anyway, have fun with the episode guys, gals, and gender non-specific listeners and we will be back for more depravity next month.

Hopefully you dug it, because I think our second episode is going to be another meaty one. For Episode Deuce, I am talking about "A Plague Tale: Innocence". This was a pretty spectacular game and I really hope everyone has gotten to experience it before I start talking about it, all talky-like. Thanks for listening to these (and BTK), everybody. I realize its all super-nerdy, but so am I. Be sure to leave a comment or review wherever you listen, and check out the "RHK Podcast" facebook for any of my assorted ramblings and game news musings. Thu, 30 May 2019 21:44:35 +0000

Ahoy-hoy, kids, and welcome to episode 244 of BTK. This one has been a long motherfucking time coming as Luke and I will finally be reviewing one of my very favorite French horror films ever, "In My Skin". Yes, I know, I am being a total francophobe jerk who loses horror points by not using the proper French name for it. You know what, though? Fuck you. Yeah, fuck you right in your elitist horror assholes. I live in Canada and travel to Quebec at least once a week. I am goddamn SURROUNDED by French. So allow me the English title, will ya'? I kid, I just don't want to have to look up the proper spelling. Yep, I am that lazy. Enjoy the show, everyone.

Sun, 26 May 2019 20:57:55 +0000

Hello everyone and thanks a whole damn bunch for checking out the 143rd episode of BTK. For this one, Luke and I decided to watch "Starfish", which just recently hit VOD. It seemed cool, but it wasn't. It was fucking dreadful and epitomizes everything wrong with hipsters who think they can make horror films. If you ever saw "Felt", you will have an idea what I am talking about here. Anyway, while I was washing the Sigur Ros-tinged stink from my eyes, I thought that we may as well do "7 Days" instead. So that's what we did and now you can listen to us review and talk about it. Then, Luke and I reviewed a new Screamerclauz film Neat, huh? Anyway, enjoy the show and try not to sodomize each other too much.

Sat, 18 May 2019 00:11:32 +0000

Greetings everyone, and I hope you brought your appetite as we are reviewing "K-Shop" for our 242nd episode of BTK. It's a movie about disgusting alcoholic human vermin who get exactly what's coming to them, which makes it a little bit of a conflict for Luke (our very own alcoholic) to review. Hopefully he can soldier on and not take it too personally, but then again, I'm sure that being on this show for almost 6 years has long since killed any normal human emotions or sense of decency he may have once had. In this way, everyone wins. Except for his family. Poor bastards.

We were going to do another film, "The World Of Kanako", and while I love it and truly think everyone should see it, it didn't feel liker a good fit for the show. So instead, we are delving into the world of gothic folklore...or something. Anyway, as always, thanks for your support and we hope you guys and gals dig the hell out of this show.

Mon, 29 Apr 2019 17:06:08 +0000

Holy shit, what the fuck is this? This, dear listeners, is me deciding that I am even less of a fan of "free time" than I had previously thought. Apparently, trying to balance work, home, video games, recording music, and BTK just wasn't enough of a challenge for me. So, here is a new show. Similarly to the original reason for me wanting to start BTK, I really like horror games and am kind of disappointed that there aren't more good horror gaming podcasts out there. So fuck it; I'll try my hand at it! That being said, welcome to the first episode of RunHideKill (listen to the episode, I promise I will explain the name), BindTortureKast's mutant kid brother/sister creature. These episodes will be shorter than a typical BTK episode, but each one will focus on a particular game (or game series), and will pretty much be my podium to get as nerdy as I possibly can. Horror? Games? Full-on nerd-boners all around, people. Anyway, thanks for listening, and I am sorry if you're not interested in this new show, as I am just including them in the BTK feed so I don't have to do any additional work (because I am so lazy). So I guess you can just skip them if you don't like games or listening to an idiot talk about them. For the inaugural episode, I am starting with the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake. It's pretty spectacular, and I cant wait to talk about it and hear what everyone thinks of the new show. Be sure to hit up the new RHK Podcast Facebook and let me know what you thought of RE2, what horror games you are playing, and/or what horror games you absolutely love. BindTortureKast-Episode 240-Outlaw Girls In A Ghost Zombie Apocalypse

Thu, 18 Apr 2019 15:10:50 +0000

Hello everyone, and welcome to episode 240 of BTK. For this one, we dive into "Braid", a little film that deals with some pretty cool themes and also manages to be a subversive little horror film at times. It may not be for everyone, but we liked it so hopefully that makes for a less-awful episode for you, the patient listener. As always, thank you so much for paying attention to our little show, and be sure to leave a comment wherever you download or stream this silly podcast. Or not. But we'd like it if you would. It helps us pay the bills around here. Haha. Just kidding, this show costs me like $20 a month to put out, so any show that says that shit is either incredibly stupid when it comes to what they're paying for, or are (more likely) lying through their teeth. The more you know...

BindTortureKast-Episode 238-Thoroughly Frightening And Discouraging Tales From Powerpuff Hell

Sat, 23 Mar 2019 17:36:52 +0000

Greetings, and thanks for downloading and/or streaming some awful free "entertainment" known as BTK. After close to two months off from more extreme horror, we are getting back to it with our reviews of "Tales From Deep Hell", which is a little film brought to us by Davide Pesca. Pesca created "The Suffering Bible", which we reviewed earlier in 2019, so hopefully we have a good time with this one too! Thanks for listening everyone. We do this because we enjoy it and for no other reason, but having people out there who seem dig it makes it all the more fun.

BindTortureKast-Episode 237-Jack Black Brings Out The Beast In Luke

Sat, 23 Mar 2019 17:33:51 +0000

Hello everyone, and welcome to episode 237 of BTK. After some serious rescheduling I decided to jump ahead a bit and bring you our reviews of the indie, underground and extreme Japanese film, "Kichiku Dai Enkei". I had a few other films planned, but this one was a bitch to schedule and, as it turned out, it was actually easier for me to drive to a different country and let Luke borrow a DVD and have him bring it back to me mere minutes before I drove home, than it was for us to just VOD a solid film. Horror problems. Anyway, enjoy the episode everyone!

Sat, 23 Mar 2019 17:29:14 +0000

Hello everyone, and thanks for listening to episode 239 of BTK. For this one, we are getting out our battle axes (not really), cranking some Amon Amarth (DEFINITELY not really), and reviewing "The Head Hunter" (ok, that one is real). Luke and I were both pretty impressed by this one, so hopefully it makes for another classic episode of BTK. Classic!! Thats us. Well, we are old anyway...

BindTortureKast-Episode 236-A Degenerate Junkie Walks Home Alone At Night

Wed, 20 Feb 2019 13:48:22 +0000

Hello everyone, and thank you ever so kindly for choosing to listen to episode 236 of BTK. To celebrate the end of our "Monsters In March" selections, we are delving into the world of Iranian Western Vampires. No, seriously. Anyway, we are reviewing "A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night", a little film that had some buzz a few years back, but not a lot of people seem to talk about these days. You kids, with your "Get Out"'s, and your "It"'s. Back in MY day, we watched weird black and white vampire films and we LIKED IT! Also this was a great way to lead into our next episode, when we review "The Bad Batch". So come for the vampires, and stay for the Keanu cannibals. Thanks for listening everyone.

BindTortureKast-Episode 235-Howling At The Pretty Tents

Wed, 20 Feb 2019 13:42:59 +0000

Hello one and all, and thanks for listening to episode 235 of BTK. Since this episode is coming out around my birthday, I decided to pick a film that came out in 1981, the year of The Great Ligrestian Coughing Forth. Seeing as how its also the second in our "Monsters In March" episodes, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to talk about the finest werewolf film of all time, "The Howling". So grab your flea bombs because things are getting furry around here.

BindTortureKast-Episode 234-Fish People, Wet Beds, And Zebra Candles

Wed, 20 Feb 2019 13:39:21 +0000

Hey everyone and welcome to Episode 234 of BTK. For this, our first episode in our "Monsters in March" series, we are gonna be reviewing "Dagon", which is Stuart Gordon's adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft classic story, "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". Why did he choose to call it "Dagon", rather than "The Shadow Over Innsmouth"? I have no damn idea, considering Dagon is its own story. Maybe it was because "Dagon" is a more memorable title, and really, not much actually happens in the "Dagon" story, so its unlikely that anyone would ever adapt that particular story. But I digress, Luke and I are going full-on sea creature for this episode, so hopefully you guys will have some fun with this one. That's what this month of shows is supposed to be about, after all.

BindTortureKast-Episode 233-The Messy Disasters Of Eurogymous

Thu, 24 Jan 2019 23:55:37 +0000

Hail to all listeners of BTK! For this one, we are reviewing the new black metal flick, "Lords Of Chaos". This one really is a Chris-pick, even more so than all the other films I alone pick. Unless you are new to the show, you may have noticed by my musical choices that I kinda sorta like black metal. I also read this book when I was just out of high school, which, by Luke's counting, is about 57 years ago. Needless to say, the very thought that this account of the truly fucked up shit that happened in Norway at the start of black metal as we know it could be made into a film was kind of crazy to me. Well, the film was made and we are here to talk about it. Also, let me just say that for me to pick only two black metal songs for this episode was an impossible task, so I am sorry if your favorite black metal classic was not included. Maybe next time. I toyed with the idea of playing rap music in this episode, but realized my adversarial nature was veering headfirst into masochism, so I decided against it. Anyhoo, Hail Satan and stuff. Woo Hoo, the devil. Yay.

BindTortureKast-Episode 232-Let's Do A Dahmer

Thu, 24 Jan 2019 23:48:40 +0000

Hello everyone, and thanks for checking out episode 232 of your favorite horror podcast (or at least, the one that you dislike less than some of the other ones), BindTortureKast. For this one, we are getting to a movie that came out earlier in 2018, but we just never got around to talking about. It probably had a lot to do with our little 5 month hiatus, but since we have been back, I've been wanting to get to it so, for your listening pleasures, we are reviewing "My Friend Dahmer". Rather than just talk about this one with Luke, it only seemed appropriate to bring on the only other person I have ever known with an equally great interest in the man himself, so Lydia joins us for a fun conversation about the film, as well. Seriously, we have his entire FBI Case File (thank you United States Freedom Of Information Act), as well as a painting of Jeff on top of our refrigerator because, well, read the old newspaper articles...it'll make sense. So, this should be a delicious conversation. Be sure to head on over to nightface.ca for all of Lydia's recent horror author-y goodness, buy her books on amazon or wherever you can, and, of course, listen to her and Wes talk about all kinds of awesome horror on the Dead Air Podcast (available where ever find horror podcasts are...downloaded for free).

Thu, 24 Jan 2019 23:46:53 +0000

Whats up kiddos, and welcome to episode 231 of BindTortureKast. For this episode, we are hitting up the newish film from Unearthed, "Brutal". Kind of going into this one blind, but dammit, I was ready for a new Unearthed Films...uh...film. Hopefully it lives up to the name and the cover image because, frankly, those were the only selling points I had before blind-buying this one. Enjoy the episode as much as we (hopefully) both enjoyed the film.

Greetings everyone, and welcome to episode 230 of BTK. For this one, we are taking up your time with our reviews of the new remake of "Suspiria". Yep, it happened. One of horror's holy cow's has been molested, and, depending on your tastes, slaughtered. Well, however you feel about it, thanks for spending some time with us as we attempt to review this insanely long and ambitious film. And if you hated the film, just remember that your friends at BTK HQ at least attempted to use it to craft an enjoyable podcast for you. At least there is that. Right? Oh christ....

Except for this week, where, in preparation for next week's episode, we are reviewing the classic horror film, "Suspiria". Definitely a strange history with this one, and we hope that you guys and gals manage to enjoy our reviews. Its a bit of a smaller episode, but rest assured, we will be back with a longer one next week! Thanks for listening everyone!

Sat, 12 Jan 2019 04:53:25 +0000

Hello everyone, and thanks for ruining your new year with the first episode of BTK for 2019. We are doubling down on more challenging cinema this year and starting the whole thing off with our reviews of "Suffering Bible". This is a little-talked about film that I quite liked, so hopefully Luke doesn't ruin the whole thing with his negativity. Also, Luke turns a year older during this episode's recording, which is just kind of sad. Another year older, another year doing this wretched show. Fun.

BindTortureKast-Episode 226- Jackin' Off With Lars Von Trier And John Candy

Sat, 08 Dec 2018 18:38:45 +0000

Seasons Bleedings and Scary Krampus, all of you vomitous little elves of awfulness. Thanks for spending a holiday evening by the fire(sofhell) with us while we review and discuss a little film that came out in 2017 called "Better Watch Out". Just kidding. We WERE going to review that, but "The House That Jack Built" came out on VOD and I figured there are plenty of podcasts doing holiday-themed horror right now. And plenty of people spitting venom at Lars Von Trier, so we should have our say as only we can; with incoherent rambling! Anyway, have a Slappy Holiday and be sure to prepare yourself for the TRUE horror of December: the annual BTK yearly wrap-up, coming at ya next, coming at ya HOT!

For this one, we moved things around a bit so we could squeeze in a review of the surprise release of the new Timo Tjahanto film, "The Night Comes For Us". Last I heard, this damn thing was going to be a comic book, and now, we have been graced with a feature from one of my favorite directors working today.
