Seth’s article is a wonderful look into the creative process, and I have to tell you – it gave me brand new perspective on the Knicks logo. I always thought it was good – its relation to the old logo was clear, but I didn’t understand it on as many levels as I do now. I love how the team name is enveloped in what for me is the true essence of the city – the strong, immovable, towering architecture. It’s almost like it’s carved out of the same stone. The Empire State Building will always be my one, quintessential NYC symbol and monument and it’s fascinating to see its inclusion in the original ideas. Too bad they didn’t want to stick with it!

Anyway, keep up the good work – I feel like a much more enlightened person today!
